  1. The # of players on those two teams that made an nfl roster was ridiculous. I went through each at one point a few years ago. I want to say the number was in the high 60s.
  2. And ranked like 3rd or 4th in the country this year in fielding %. Young team though. Tadlock has a bright future with this team IMO. Adding Mahomes to his staff next year won't hurt.
  3. You really should slow down when you read. I'm not convinced you understand half of what you read. The response above to my post is evidence that you don't.
  4. That is a simplified version of it, minus the drug testing of recipients of course. I am not against mandatory drug testing, but not for the reasons most of the uninformed masses are for it. If someone tests positive, there will be more required than to simply cut off their benefits. We will end up spending more money on that family than we would if there were not drugs involved. But the kids will get to eat, and the parent will either lose their kids and their benefits, or get the help they desperately need.
  5. PAFam brings up a great point. There are a LOT of kids in our communities that are hungry most of the time. Much of it is drug related. Drug testing welfare recipients sounds great, but it's only a starting point. If someone tests positive, to address the problem the kids must be removed and put into another home (requires government $) and to hopefully reunite the family, the parent(s) will likely need drug treatment (requires government $). Unfortunately, in many cases it's not as simple as Smitty would like for it to be - just stop using. Since I know many of you are against government spending on social levels, I am interested in your solutions. Stevenash - how would you address this problem differently than set forth above, without using taxpayer monies?
  6. There's another one I didn't know about. Gonna check that one out too.
  7. Gonna have to hit that one for sure. Anyone know anything about that Billy's place in Jasper on the TM list?
  8. Here's a better list, GCMPats2 (in my opinion, of course): [Hidden Content]
  9. Cooper's was my favorite for years and years. Great place. I have yet to meet anyone that braved the early morning lines at Franklin though and didn't believe it was the best they've ever had. At least for brisket and ribs. Kreuz in Lockhart is still the best sausage I've had but I've heard Micklethwait Meats in Austin may take that crown.

The spot of issue avoidance is where you have seemingly permanently set up camp. Always with the questions, seldom with the answers....
  11. Only by about 10 joints (minimum) in a 60 mike radius. Experience is awesome. Food is average at best.

    X marks the spot 😂
  13. And a FYI, Texas Monthly isn't wrong about this one: Franklin Barbeque in Austin is the best in the State. People don't start lining up in their folding chairs at 8:00 in the morning for no reason. It's amazing.
  14. You gotta head further west Dove! On the local joints, JB's in Orange is hands down the best IMO.
  15. You guys need to chill out. It's not like someone was making fun of someone with Parkinson's. Oh wait...
  16. (Too many serious threads on this board, not that barbeque isn't serious business.) Go!

And please pray for Stevenash, Craig S. As he has told us how financially successful he is on many occasions, he may be too rich to get into Heaven. (Nash, you may be many things, but dumb isn't one of them. I know the point of my posts didn't go over your head.)

You should be all for higher tax rates on the rich, Craig S. After all, you have it all figured out on who can be a Christian and who can't. And I'm sure you are familiar with when Jesus said it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. Shouldn't your solution be to tax the wealthy more so they won't have as much, thus they will be able to go to Heaven?
  19. Start by reading biographies of Ronald Reagan. The moderate that Fox News/Limbaugh have convinced their sheep was an ultra-conservative...
  20. Multiple gyms from what I understand.
  21. Just what they need. Another "me first" perimeter player who plays no D. Smh
  22. Dang, you're right. It's hell getting old.
  23. Groveton would give us our 3rd to 4th round exit every year I was in high school. He was a year younger than me and a super nice, humble guy. Saw them play Cooper in the state semis the year after I graduated (bam morris was a senior for Cooper). Rodney and Groveton won 82-6. Yes, 82-6 in the state Semifinals. #Rip
