  1. Not impressed with the buck-20 he batted this year?
  2.   On a first offense, yes it would.  Only difference is mandatory interlock on 1st offense if BAC is .15 or higher...
  3. 2 yrs is steep on a class B. 1 yr is pretty standard. Have seen 2 yrs though in cases involving an extremely high blood alcohol content or an accident.
  4. What a dang catch
  5. Runner beat the tag. Gotta love the unwritten rules of baseball (or hate them).
  6. What a throw by Barrera
  7. Most likely 1 year probation. $300-500 fine. $60 month probation fees. $1500 assessment from dps on license. A DWI education class and Victim Impact Panel (depending on county could be called something different but basically the same classes). Both are basically 1 day classes, usually on Saturday. Rules are don't get arrested, don't drink or do drugs, don't go in bars or similar places, and frequently a curfew is imposed unless you are working nights.
  8. I gotta say, I was "okay" with the Strong hire and and am cautiously optimistic. But the fact that Augie was on the hot seat going into this season really gives me pause with Patterson as the AD. Win or lose this game, the guy is a legend and I have always loved the way his teams play (at UT and CSF). Always gritty and you can just tell they go into every single game believing they will win.
  9. Dang, forgot about Gurley. Beast.
  10. Gordon - Wisc Collins - Ark TJ Yeldon tough to beat too. I hear great things about Malcolm Brown coming out of the spring too. Mike Davis from South Carolina is a good one.
  11. I would LOVE to see him with Dwight. Harden is going to have to give up shots and play some defense but I could definitely see this working. After enduring Kobe for a season, I think playing with Lebron may be just the thing to bring out the best in Howard. Love him or hate him, LBJ is the kind of player that makes his teammates better.
  12.   Says the guy whose team finished tied for 7th in their conference?
  13.   I'm with you.  Ordinarily would be rooting for UVA on the other side but gotta pull for the BC boy, Cameron Dishon.
  14. I really don't understand how the school board has any support at this point.  Other than the one or two who have been openly fighting the majority for the last few years, it seems to me that they were either complicit in how we've gotten to this point, or, almost as bad, willfully ignorant.  Either way, wholesale changes should have been demanded by their voters long ago.  I only hope that when the elections are instituted again, serious lessons have been learned.  This has been an embarrassing black eye for the city and an injustice for our kids.
  15.   Dear Lord, we are starting to sound like Aggies.  Please make it stop...
  16. Other players from '05 team that played who are NFL veterans (played at least 1 NFL season...didn't include those drafted or signed that did not make a roster):   Quan Cosby (Bengals, Broncos, Colts, Jaguars) Tim Crowder (Broncos, Bucs) Brandon Foster (Colts) Cedric Griffin (Vikings, Redskins) Ahmard Hall (Titans) Derek Lokey (Chiefs) Richmond McGee (Eagles, Bears, Browns) Roddrick Muckelroy (Bengals, Redskins) Frank Okam (Texans, Seahawks, Bucs, Giants) Jordan Shipley (Bengals, Bucs, Jags) Kasey Studdard (Texans, Titans) Limas Sweed (Steelers) David Thomas (Patriots, Saints) Rodrique Wright (Dolphins, Jets) Selvin Young (Broncos) Vince Young (Titans, Eagles, Bills, Packers, Browns)   A few of things, I think the number of players in the '05 Rose Bowl that played in the NFL had to be in the 70s.  This took some time to compile and I didn't feel like going back thru USC's roster.  But I am certain they had about 10 or more players that made the NFL.  So it was probably high 70s, not 60s.  Second, it was a fun to relook at this team.  One thing I was reminded of was the '02 recruiting class, which is widely regarded as one of the best of all time.  Finally, there are 3 starting O Linemen from that team still in the NFL almost a decade later.  As with many great teams, you forget that those games are won in the trenches.  The big uglies on that team were fantastic.
  17. Longhorns from that team still in the NFL:   Colt McCoy (Redshirt that year - 49ers) Jamaal Charles (Chiefs) Justin Blalock (Falcons) Jonathan Scott (Bears) Lyle Sendlein (Cardinals) Brian Orakpo (Redshirt - Redskins) Brian Robison (Vikings) Tarrell Brown (Raiders - broke his arm in 4th Q of the USC game) Aaron Ross (Ravens) Michael Griffin (Titans) Michael Huff (Free Agent - Ravens/Broncos last year) Roy Miller (Jaguars) Chris Ogbonnaya (Browns) Jermichael Finley (Redshirt - Packers) Henry Melton (Cowboys) Tony Hills (Steelers, Broncos, Colts, Bills, Raiders)   Texas ranked 8th among colleges last season with 45 players in the League.  Over a third of those were a part of the '05 National Championship team.  Not bad for almost a decade later.
  18. I hear Killen's in Pearland is up there with the big boys.
  19. Both those teams were better college teams than your '01 Canes...
  20. The # of players on those two teams that made an nfl roster was ridiculous. I went through each at one point a few years ago. I want to say the number was in the high 60s.
  21. And ranked like 3rd or 4th in the country this year in fielding %. Young team though. Tadlock has a bright future with this team IMO. Adding Mahomes to his staff next year won't hurt.
  22. You really should slow down when you read. I'm not convinced you understand half of what you read. The response above to my post is evidence that you don't.
