all of them that play at a program as high profile as A&M... no shortage of alumni attorneys willing to help the kids in the program

Stop bragging Bigsanta!! ;) Root those Wildcats home please!

I will answer the original question for our friend out in West Texas. What happened is they are playing for all the marbles on Monday. Go Big Blue

How clutch is my boy, Aaron, Jr? Ice water in the veins, BG! #BBN

Thank you. Was trying to find info on a school shooting there. Explains why I couldn't.

Texans First-Round Draft Pick
TxHoops replied to eagleswoodville#1's topic in Professional Sports- NFL, NBA, MLB, Etc
I agree. Not to mention there are several potentially quality QBs that will be 3-5 rounders. This is obviously a weak draft for QBs at the top of the board. However, it is very deep at that position for the middle of the draft. JMO. -
3 of the best 16 teams in the tournament, half of the Final Four. Not too shabby.
-
Dang it! 😡 A buddy of mine bought a table; maybe it was more? I've got some investigating to do!!
-
$50. You probably thought they said $15. Otherwise I got ripped off!!
-
And 2/3s of their NCAA Tourney qualifiers. Tennessee also made a good run getting to Sweet 16 as an 11 seed. Quality over quantity or did not enough SEC teams make the field?

The 14u Southeast Texas Defenders (formerly Texas Ball Hawks) took down the Stars R Born Tournament in Houston for the second consecutive year. The Under Armour team beat Galveston Hornets by 23 and RL9 by 30 in pool play. Today they beat Brownsville Big Tymers by 14 in the Quarterfinals, Houston Hoops by 9 in the Semifinals, and Pearland Bulldogs by 14 in the championship game.

I don't know about you Mr. BG, but the Cats are looking like a "team of destiny" to me. Never seen a bunch of freshmen who were so clutch. They seem to get better every game.
-
And the first of my Final Four teams go down. If Louisville, Mich St, Fla and Wisc made it to Dallas, I would have made a lot of money. Still can if Mich St wins it all. But I love this Kentucky team and how it's peaking at the right time. And I loved them +165 on the money line last night!

They schedule it opposite opening weekend of March Madness. They schedule it before the exhibition games are even over. You are 100% correct.

Texans First-Round Draft Pick
TxHoops replied to eagleswoodville#1's topic in Professional Sports- NFL, NBA, MLB, Etc
I agree. Rick Smith needs to get rid of that tar baby and get more players with it. Terrible year to be picking #1. -
But again, you deflect from the issue with those comments. I don't care who you are - JF's workout today was beyond impressive. Whether he goes #1 or not, he made $$$ today. His agent couldn't be happier. Good for him - I hope he does well. If he does, it will be great for the league.

Although we are on different sides of the fence, I usually respect your posts. This one is just thoughtless or blinded by hatred. Strong came in at the end of recruiting and he's proven he can't recruit? Seriously? Ask the coaches at the Florida schools if they agree with you. And do you think the pro day turnouts were about the states of the programs or whether one had a potential #1 pick? Guess how many teams were present during Vince's pro day workout? More than were in CS today. Of course, they did get to trip to Austin too which was an added benefit...

Sorry - I don't disagree with much, if anything you say here. Just saying there are better examples. FYI - Real Sports did a piece on the NCAA this week that was excellent (Bernard Goldberg reporting). I fear that the "student athlete" has not existed for the most part in the big programs for a long time. The system is already broke, and I really don't have any answer to fix it.

Actually, use the MLB if you want to make an anti-union argument. The success of the NFL and the inability of the NFLPA to get a CBA akin to baseball's has created a parity like no other league. And the result is the most popular sport in the land by a MILE, including CFB...

Without the law degree and the personal poise, of course...

Honestly, if I'm Rick Smith and I'm choosing between Bridgewater and JF, it's a no brainer. I've never been overly impressed with Teddy and he played against MUCH weaker competition than Manziel. I REALLY like Rick Smith though and hate taking a QB here with what's available. Why can't Houston be as lucky (no pun intended) and have a #1 pick when Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck is available? Colts have to be the luckiest franchise in sports.

I agree. I heard her mid range jumper was decent. Just had a hard time reading defenses...

Too funny (and too true)...

Buddy G - the twins have played their best basketball of the season the last two weeks (by far). This looks like a team coming together at the right time. And who wouldn't rather see one of the sport's best rivalries in the sweet 16? Already looking forward to it!

I had Harvard. Tommy Amaker has done a hell of a job with that program. Unfortunately, Dayton beating Ohio St. and ND St. beating OU ruined my perfect bracket. Figures...can't stand either one of those teams.
