What a finish! Cards win 70-69!!’

Nutall is the best player in that conference. What a game this has been.
-
I know it was especially hard on the kids last year. But we all got cheated too. That had all the makings of an epic matchup.
-
That’s true...

Yessir. He’s been killing it for years.

Soulja’s my dude but if he jinxes this, he’s dead to me.
-
Yeah Sam is definitely favored but it’s not a given. Lamar can play with anyone in that conference and the young team appears to finally be getting over the hump of closing games.
-
If you fools jinx this team by already talking about greatest ever, I’m never going to forgive you. At least let them get one under their belt first.

Not a slam on any school in particular and doesn’t apply to every school. But is an observation made by several basketball guys I know. Houston kids are often more skilled but also softer than the DFW schools. Houston plays more suburban basketball (with certain exceptions like Yates) while Dallas basketball has more of an inner city feel. It is what it is or maybe it’s a perception that I and others are wrong about. As far as it working in football, are you trying to claim that Houston has more success in football championships than DFW? Because that isn’t perception - that’s just patently false. Katy has an amazing program and North Shore has been really good of late. But as a whole, the Metroplex has held over us for years. But for the record, football or basketball, I will always root for H-town over that place up north.

#2 Beaumont United Vs #12 Dallas Kimball Predictions

Is it possible for a team to have even played 34 games with the restrictions this year? -
#2 Beaumont United Vs #12 Dallas Kimball Predictions

BU 75-62 -
Argyle has a chance to do it as well.

I predicted 77-51. My margin of victory was only off by 1. What is incredible to me is how focused they have been all year, especially given it is really still a relatively young team. I don’t think it matter whether it’s Kimball or Amarillo...BU plays like that and they aren’t losing. And one thing about the Dallas teams when they play Houston teams...I think a lot of times they out-tough them. That’s a belief that is held by many by the way. But when they play Beaumont or Port Arthur, that ain’t happening.

It’s actually worse - $2,600/mo (15x40x52/12). This might be the best argument I’ve heard against the proposed hike.

Huffman Hargrave 62 Silsbee 56/FINAL

Correct. As I’ve always said on this board, it’s about the kids. Err on the side of the kids. Thanks for acknowledging! -

And to break this down for you - if you believe his father and what he’s posted on this board, the kid’s transfer was legit. If you believe Huffman and the other little men, it wasn’t. So to say you can’t imagine they would vote against a legitimate case, you ARE pretty much calling the young man’s father a liar. You can’t have it both ways. But it’s cool. There’s no secret where your bias comes from either. -

Yes I can’t imagine how in the world they would have any ill will towards HF 😂🤣 And those big dummies at HJ shoulda pulled their heads out of their behinds and voted against the kid too! Lord knows Huffman would NEVER vote unjustly! Yep, you nailed it champ. -

Except when you say “evidently they believe in following the rules,” you ARE making a statement that they are right (and implying you know enough about the facts to make that statement). Thankfully, there are upstanding men like the HJ administration who voted in a noble manner. Unfortunately, they were the exception to the rule. But again, congratulations* to Huffman. -

But again, congrats to Huffman on their first Regional Championship * -

Negative. They believe in manipulating the rules to not allow a kid to play for a public school for which he zoned. And where he has lived for many years. You continue to try to justify their cowardly vote, even after admitting you knew little to nothing of the faces. In essence, you are calling this young man’s father @Cardinal 1, who is also an educator, a liar. It is a breath of air all right; a breath of west Texas air when the air is blowing just right from the fertilizer plants. -

Surely not. They don’t even believe in players switching schools who have always lived in a particular district. -
It is just a better conference with more money and exposure. But with the three best athletic programs in the conference bolting, the Southland drops to the bottom of the barrel. Lamar is fortunate to get the fourth invite (ala Baylor working its way in the Big 12 with Texas, A&M and Tech). Word also is that the WAC is looking to move back to FBS in the near future, which would up the money considerably obviously.

Lamar beats McNeese today for the season sweep. In so doing, they not only qualified but earned a first round bye in the conference tournament. Great job Cards and Coach Price!
