  1. After Hardin played EC close last night after absolutely getting Molly-wopped last week by the Bobcats, this shouldn’t be a compete shocker. Orangefield is pretty dang good and are far from alone in getting handled by BC.
  2. They all lie more than they tell the truth. Sad but true. Hope that helps.
  3. Except the universities can’t and won’t put this stuff in writing. The tendency is to think of the schools as virtuous and the players as greedy. But I can say with 100 percent certainty that the kids are being promised things right and left by coaches (often times the assistants to shield the HC) that they have no intention of fulfilling. Once kids wise up and start recording these conversations, those who don’t know how this stuff truly works will be enlightened. And I say this if as someone with sons both playing and coaching D1 (and to be clear, neither has been a culprit or a victim in this, just know plenty who have).
  4. Just got steamrolled. I looked at their schedule half expecting them to have played Fred Home School children 4 times like a certain former basketball coach there but that wasn’t the case.
  5. He’s not expected to play today. That’s the wise move.
  6. Ewers is apparently getting better daily. I know Sark probably wants him to get some game reps before OU but not at the risk if reinjuring. Honestly with the bye week next week, he would have to be 100 percent to play him tomorrow imo.
  7. This week may be the worst conference opponent we’ve gotten in years. I wouldn’t play Quinn unless he is completely healthy (and only to shake off any rust) because the next week is also a bye. Mississippi State may be the worst Power 5 team. But after this week, we don’t get another cupcake until Thanksgiving.
  8. Crazy thing is in every game this year, the score was actually closer than the game. I think by the end of the game, they were letting one of those guys who wrangle Bevo play QB.
  9. Hard to believe letting the TexAg gomers veto a new coach hire would blow up in their face…
  10. They won a natty basically doing that 🤷🏻‍♂️
  11. Hmmm, so Michigan isn’t terrible like some would like people to believe…
  12. Rooting hard for you. I really like OU in this one which would typically bode well for you.
  13. Something to the effect he’s a danger to our country, etc. Even if she believes it, very poor timing/form to say the least imo.
  14. Me either buddy.
  15. I don’t know if I would go that far. I also don’t think it’s a deep state conspiracy to off him. To blame it on the dems is no more or less fair than to blame Charlottesville on the GOP. There are a lot of nut jobs in this country and they seem to be multiplying at a high frequency.
  16. The claim that she had the questions is somewhat funny. Gee, she knew they were going to ask her about the economy, the border, abortion, her race, etc. Guess what? So did I and I promise I didn’t have the questions. He came in thoroughly unprepared and it showed. That said, obviously the moderators were predictably biased. All in all, AAW’s post below pretty much sums it up for me. I don’t know if he should debate her again or not. If it will be more of the same, absolutely not. I lean toward not giving her another “bump” from a second debate. I would expect he would be trending up after the recent attempt anyway.
  17. Nostradamus over here 😉 I agree it doesn’t matter but I think that’s the correct vote at this point
  18. If you guys think the BIPARTISAN border bill was killed for any reason other than this election, I have some oceanfront property in Evadale for you. And if the shoe was on the other foot, the Dems would have done EXACTLY the same thing. The problem with politics is the ME will always be more important than the WE. I’m sure there are exceptions to that but very few. And neither of the choices at the top of the ballot in November would remotely be exceptions to that rule. As for another debate, I don’t know why Trump would think he’s in a position of power to negotiate. He needs it far more than she does at this point, in my opinion. However, while he is certainly not nearly as bad as Biden, I’m not sure Trump has the ability to perform at a high level against someone competent in a debate at this point. He’s obviously always been tough to keep on script and now you could see him struggling to organize his thoughts. Honestly though, the way NO ONE gives any serious plans or ideas EVER in these debates (easier just to brag/lie about their records and, more often, criticize the other candidate), it’s crazy to me to base your vote off a debate. Especially when in the amount of time you spend sitting there watching them prevaricate, you could research their actual records.
  19. Luckily Quinn is so good there is no controversy when he is healthy (and the Manning family couldn’t be better in this situation). But I can’t imagine there are more than a handful of teams in the country (maybe on one hand) where Arch wouldn’t be the starter. Nice to have that luxury. Hopefully Ewers will be back for OU.
  20. Agreed. And even against air, some of the throws he makes…not many dudes alive that have those in their bag. Not to mention he obviously runs better than his uncles. I’m sure the family is praying Quinn will be back next week and he can continue to hold the clipboard and prepare for one year of action and then 1.1 in April of 2026.
  21. I realize it’s UTSA but some of these throws #16 is making. Holy moly.
  22. I will give you credit for being sarcastic, and not making an incredibly dumb post. They did just win the equivalent of the director’s cup for SETX last year (don’t know what they call if for HS but I’m sure someone does). Of course, the credit for that goes in no small part to the great hires Smalley made across the board.
  23. I agree with you. I don’t know why she would agree to another one. I’m sure she was as confident (or cocky) as can be after the one ended last night. Let’s see if her advisors don’t walk her back from doing another one (many ways to do it: don’t agree to terms, venue, host, etc.).
  24. I would have to agree with you. The bigger problem for former President Trump is that i can’t imagine she didn’t win in the minds of the coveted independent/swing voters.
