  1. Conference tournament. It has been a challenging year to say the least. He could probably help himself by putting a half dozen NAIA schools on the schedule (like a conference rival) instead of playing U of H, Air Force, Tulane, Louisiana Tech, Southern Miss, etc. But it is a young team with almost everyone coming back that has improved greatly over the course of the season.
  2. Obviously they didn’t play 24 games last week. It’s a weekly award, recognizing coaching going into postseason.
  3. Not a seasonal award. But obviously has his team playing their best basketball of the season going into March.
  4. My eyes were sweating some too. Thanks @baddogfor sharing.
  5. Year after actually. They were still plenty good with TJ after Grayland left.
  6. Let’s go Bobcats! Seventh schmeventh! They haven’t played any horsemen yet! (bullets and AAW are probably right but I still believe Bobcats)
  7. Those and add Kevin Foster of Big Sandy. He’s as good as any. I would argue the job he’s done this year (and the one Boutte did at WB) are among their best.
  8. Saw a fantastic meme where it read “Tony Chachere’s has announced they will be keeping their little coona$$ chef because Cajuns aren’t over-sensitive.” 😂🤣
  9. Was a great game too. One of the better ones I’ve been to. Other than some pretty poor officiating (it was bad for both teams and I’m usually pleased with Southland officiating - this game drew 2 of the worst ones in the conference), I thought the game was really well played. Both teams played a very clean, high level game.
  10. And two clutch 3s. And Kasen Harrison got an offensive rebound at the end of 2nd OT that was just all guts. They’ve been right there all year and just haven’t been able to close. It’s like that sometimes with young teams. And yes, this Covid schedule is all messed up. In fact, I think Lamar was ONLY team in conference that had to play SFA, Abilene, Nicholls, AND Sam. In fact, they played each of them twice. Those who are only casually following don’t realize that the Southland has 4 teams logjammed at the top (those 4) who are all very, very good. It’s the first time I can remember in a while you had that many teams in this conference at that level. Usually 1 or 2. So as it worked out, HALF of Lamar’s conference games were against those 4.
  11. I keep forgetting BS is still in this. Just quietly stacking wins. Nobody is better than Foster. What a job he’s done this year.
  12. No lie. Super impressed with those two too.
  13. I think I now have a favorite area team still playing. I love you BU and Silsbee but there’s only one Hull Daisetta!
  14. @Mr. Buddy Garrity you keeping up with this??
  15. This is getting to be madness. Wth is going on???
  16. Lamar wins 88-83 in double OT. Big win for a team with almost everyone coming back.
  17. Headed to double OT tied at 79. Lamar has been right there with the best teams in this conference. Need to close one.
  18. Did Manvel control pace? If so, great job. Definitely their best chance to win was keep it slowed down and score low. Nevertheless, great job BU. Just win baby.
  19. That is great to hear. Not enough of that around anymore.
  20. Gut check game for Silsbee. Team growing up game by game.
  21. Just a sincere thanks Badsanta - doing a great job.
