  1. Your comments show why affirmative action is needed.
  2. I know you mean well, but you don't know the struggles of black people. Our life experiences are different. Think about this. I worked for a company that hired 10 black people to reach their so called quota. There were other qualified blacks out there. Why didn't they hire more? Why did they hire just enough to reach the quota? Why didn't they hire 30 qualified blacks even if it exceeded the "quota"?
  3. You guys were talking about unqualified black people getting jobs because they were black. I am merely saying that happens with white people
  4. Yep, but it wasnt happening. That is why we have affirmative action. If only we lived in a perfect world...by the way tx hoops you are the man.
  5. This is my point: you guys will find a way to criticize the President no matter what he does. He didnt "intentionionally" do anything wrong, but maybe he did something wrong without malice; therefore, we should still crucify him. You guys were talking about cover ups of deliberate actions just weeks ago, your story has changed again, now you switch to the video footage at election time as your new Benghazi witch hunt. How about saying we were wrong as it pertains to this issue. You guys are pathetic. .
  6. YOU CAN ONLY RECEIVE TANF ASSISTANCE FOR FIVE YEARS. 95% percent of people on welfare work, just like his mother did.
  7. She did not have more experience, didn't I say she didn't know anything related to the job. She had to ask a more experienced nurse (who should've been the supervisor) for help.
  8. Why do you assume that? Is it because you think that every white person who is in a position of authority deserves to be there? There in lies the problem :o
  9. My husband and a good friend of ours are from California. Our friend is thinking about moving back, because  he hates the "good ole boy" system that Texas has. He said that the racism that occurs in the workplace is horrible in Texas. He was stunned. :o
  10.   I disagree. I know better because I am black. My experiences are different from a white persons' experience. We still don't have an even playing field.
  11. It has happened. They also have access to monies that black students don't.
  12. He would not have been allowed to take the test if it were not for affirmative action.
  13. what is the the name of the article?
  14. sigh....I have had this discussion on this forum before, but here I go again. Mr. Carson was able to survive his childhood because his mother received food stamps and other forms of government assistance. (He might've starved to death if she didn't have access to these programs.) He said that his grades improved dramatically because of a government program that allowed him to get free glasses YET he now opposes government programs that assist the poor. That is hypocritical. :(
  15. wow, unbelievable. Is that the only thing you could think of the write?  SMH
  16. GOP-Led House Committee Exonerates Obama Admin of Any Wrongdoing in Benghazi AttackAugust 4, 2014 • By John Prager This is a good article.
  17. what about white people who get jobs that they are unqualified for just becsuse they are white? I worked at a place where every black nurse had a bachelor's degree and our supervisor who was not that bright only had an associates. She didnt know anything ; hence, no one respected her.
  18. We have fixed interest rates.
  19. I have started doing the same thing as well.
  20. My dad was allowed to test for a job in the 1960s. He made the highest grade on the test and got a really good paying job. He would not have gotten that opportunity otherwise.
  21. No, it gives qualified blacks a shot that they would not have gotten otherwise. Racism still exisits. (Gasp).
  22. I definitely wont back him. He is a big hypocrite.
  23. He is going to end up just like Hermann Cain. Lol
