  1. Bosha is the real deal even the Yates coach said so. Do you think that your kids are better Blue Dove? ;)
  2. LMBO....Whatsoever would make you think that? I am a relative but I am not his aunt. His aunt would definitely not deny it, because of her personality.
  3. In the last 7 yrs can you name any great people who graduated from Yates. The school started to have problems around that time. I dont dispute the fact that there are some awesome Yates alumni. :D
  4. If they have all of these great programs why is their drop out rate at 30-40%. You cant benefit from these "great programs" if you drop out of school in the 9th grade.
  5. I went to college with John Roper in the 80's. I also see you also mentioned someone from the 60's. :o
  6. Oh I am scared now. Big Cam what are you going to do if I don't back off. Mrs Rashaad graduated 30 yrs ago. We are talking about the current Yates, not what it was 25-30 yrs ago... :P
  7. Blue Dove, you said that you have been watching Bosha play since he was a Little Dribbler. I find that hard to believe because he was "creating his own shots at that time". I have noticed that you always try to belittle Bosha. You have been doing this since this forum was created. Are you sure that you are not jealous of him and his skill set? :o
  8. What was Brandon's shooting percentage? Free throw percentage? You cant say he was a better shooter if you dont know what Bosha's percentage is. How many steals did he avg per game? In my opinion Zjori is the complete package. Tell me what his flaws are? ( I know he's not perfect). You said that Brandon was a better defender, how many steals did he average? This is the most accurate way to compare two players.
  9. LMBO......It is obvious that Blue Dove does not know anything about basketball. I played in college and we were required to run cross country. I even saw a posting where he said that Johnson was the only person on HJ's team that could create his own shot. LOL. Has he ever watched Bosha play? He is the compete package. He can shoot, he can drive, he is a great perimeter defender and he can hit the 3. Either Blue Dove is blind or he has never attended a HJ game. Wow!!!!! ;)
  10. I havent ever ventured into the neighborhood  I never plan to go) so I cannot answer the question about places to eat. 8)
  11. I am sure that some of their grades are not reported accurately. I bet some of the teachers get an "incentive" for passing them. They are unacceptable academically according to the state. What a great school. I am sure that alot of players made it to D1 schools and did well, but I am specifically referring to the kids that I saw play against HJ. That 6'7 kid is going to be in alot of trouble if he doesnt work on his short and long range jumper. He will not be a post player in college. :)
  12. I hope so too. I dont like this Yates team. I cant believe all of those players were going to jump on 4 Silsbee players. Thank God the other lady and I were there and were able to rush the Silsbee players out of the gym. I am grateful that a cop showed up as well.  >:(
  13. I am a HJ fan, but I hope Silsbee wins. ( I never thought I would utter those words). After conversing with Jordan, I realized that he is cool and I like him. He told me he was there to support #12, Bosha. They have known each other since Little Dribblers. I thought it was a nice gesture. Bosha went to their game against Kashmere to support Jordan. ( enemies on the court, friends off of the court). :)
  14. None of the players from HJ tried to start a brawl with the opposing team. The players from Yates did ,no matter how you try to defend them. Dont try to change the subject.  ;)
  15. Those kids are in big trouble if they think they can do those same things in college against players that are 7'0 tall. They really need to work on their outside shots; as well as, fundamental basketball. At 6'7 you have to be able to shoot from the perimeter. :o
  16. My son is a great athlete. Someone asked me why I won' t send him to Yates. (I live about 25 miles away). I told him that I would not send my dog to Yates. He stated that the only thing he cared about was his kid playing for a winning team which I thought was sad. Academics are of the utmost importance in my family. Yates is not known for academic excellence. 8)
  17. Yates had an option to remain 4A, a number of schools that were a few students short of being 4A opted to stay in that classification. ;)
  18. Excuse me for saying patient, I am a health care professional. I use the word so much, it just slipped out. I am not crying at all, I am just giving you guys my opinion. At first you guys denied that your players were trying to intimidate the Tigers' players. Now you are trying to condone their behavior by saying all kids do it. If HISD officials did a full investigation, why didnt they ask me and the other lady standing by me what happened. Usually when you conduct an investigation you ask the witnesses what they saw. I am a HJ fan, at one point I did not like the Silsbee program at all, so I wouldnt lie about what occured. After talking to Jordan and the other kids I realized that I prejudged them. The HISD investigation was akin to a police dept investigation that calls a man's  death a suicide, in spite of the fact ,that 2 people saw a guy shoot him. Wow  :o
  19. The Silsbee fans were probably hurling insults at the Yates players, because they found out about the Lions players taunting the 4 Silsbee kids at the game. What they did is wrong and I can't believe that adults on this thread are trying to condone their behavior. The fat black coach was the one encouraging the players to try and  intimidate the kids from the Tigers team. I would say that the yates defense is okay, but their press is not impossible to break. ???
  20. It is what it is. Everybody in Houston knows that they recruit. My friend is a coach and Yates coaching staff stole a patient from their team.  Is it true that you guys have an African "exchange" student?  ;)
  21. You played Kimball 12/13, really how is that possible? We just started 2013. Too bad you could not beat them in the state finals last year. I cant believe that you guys actually encourage the players to behave in the way they do. They are dirty players. I felt sorry for #12 on HJ's team. They were holding his shirt, holding his arm, made him bleed. Everytime he touched the ball, 3 players coverged on him and he still scored 22 pts.
