  1. Best player on the 7th grade team may choose to play at BU after next year. Hope not. He’s very talented and a really good kid as well.
  2. Planet Ford Stadium in Spring. Friday at 7 PM
  3. Yes. Robbie was 97, Jeff Gaston 96 and Brad Burtchell 94 and 95. They were 63-1 over the 4 years. Only loss was in 96 to LaGrange. Lawrence Dobbins (JK’s dad) was RB for LaGrange that year and he could fly.
  4. My nephew has 3 rings from that 94-97 run. Fred was the man in 94, Chris Tate in 95 (3A POY), Jaron Dabney in 96 (BYU) and Kelvin Tarver in 97. Qb’s and passing game were really good during that span, but the defense was the best I’ve ever seen at the high school level. Coaching was insanely good.
  5. Will this game be on Texanlive?
  6. I can only speak from 83’ to present. Darrell McArthur is a good comparison. Before this year, I thought Jared was a notch below Boogaloo. However, as the year has progressed, I think Jared is a better all-around player and Darrell a better pure shooter. Just my opinion.
  7. Aggies/Mike…Can you please confirm the accuracy of our win/loss totals on Max Preps? Any games missing from what they’re showing. I thought we were 30-9?
  8. Gonna be interesting watching Bottley and # 3 for Washington go at it. We have to rebound, shoot well and play defense like we did tonight. And it wouldn’t hurt to get McDermott in early foul trouble.
  9. Silsbee finishing out the half with third-stringers. 61-23 halftime.
  10. You’re obviously not capable of grasping where I’m coming from. Good day, sir.
  11. I beg to differ. SOC was more athletic, but PNG coaches were far superior. It couldn’t have been more obvious.
  12. Congrats Dawgs! Way to represent the 409.
  13. Are you sure? I was 100% certain Cuero would win since the great “knower of all things football”, my boy 89Falcon, predicted it. In all seriousness, congrats Dawgs! Way to represent the 409.
  14. No doubt Ty was very impressive. However, those 200 yards only equated to 13 points in the second half and OT.
  15. Ditto!! I have been holding my tongue for a week. BBF061’s posts are always insightful and respectful. However, my boy 89Falcon seems to have much hate for Silsbee. Bandwagon fans are common, especially when the home team doesn’t give you much to cheer about. Bellville MAY (Falcon said WILL) beat Silsbee and Silsbee MAY beat Bellville. BUT…when the VOICES YOU ARE HEARING tell you that # 1 for Silsbee isn’t the best player on the field, sumpin is amiss. As a Silsbee fan, I have MUCH RESPECT for Bellville and what they have accomplished. I also have much respect for 99 and the bright future he has. With that being said, I would never STOOP as low as to make derogatory remarks towards another team or player. Hopefully both teams treat us to an injury free game for the ages. Good luck and safe travels to all. Happy Thanksgiving!
  16. Mikey way plus 400 with around 20 completions. Might have been closer to 450
  17. Ditto, Mike. The only thing not mentioned was our ball boy out for 2 weeks with a dislocated nostril, assistant trainer on IR with IBS and equipment manager on the PUP list.
  18. I was referring more to a Bellville Silsbee match, if that is to happen.
  19. I 100% agree. Bellville beat Royal 45-10. HF is up on Royal 42-7 at half. Silsbee beat HF 39-21. Assuming Bellville wins 60-0 tonight, they would have outscored Carthage by 128 to this point and given up 51 fewer. Does this mean Bellville can play with Carthage? Not likely. Does this mean Silsbee can play with Belleville or vice versa? Hell no. Throw all the numbers out the window. These are playoff games and there’s many other factors to consider.
  20. I stand corrected. I should have said 1st 11-man team to win 4 straight. Fort Hancock is 6 man. And Sealy did it before 3A was split into Divisions 1 and 2. Don’t get me wrong…Im a life-long Silsbee fan and will be pulling for them, as always.
  21. My nephew played for Sealy in the mid-90’s. They were the 1st in Tx to win 4 straight (94-97). Fred Smith (5’ 8” 170) broke Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record in 94’. They went 63-1 during that period and the only loss was in the 96 regular season to LaGrange, who was led by J. K. Dobbin’s dad, Lawrence. To say they were dominant during that time would be an understatement. Best high school football coaching staff I have ever seen. Head coach was the late T.J. Mills. God rest his soul!
  22. Ditto
