Paredes has been one of the bright spots in the Astros organization for the last couple of years. The only scenario I see is put him at second base, Peña at short, Correa at third, Walker at first, put the big guy in left field and Altuve has to be DH. Sub in at second base when needed.

I don’t know about this one. Always a good battle. Big Ned is up and down this year so flip a coin. Last game, I picked heads so we win by 6.

I know Nederland doesn’t match very well with Texas City but playing at home will help. Knowing that they had PNG on the ropes will help them as well. I see this being a close game but big Ned should pull away with a win.

Great game. I knew this one was going to be close. The Dogs showed up and reminded me of the glory days when Neumann paced the sidelines. I know coach Spell was grinning watching the D line tonight. I think Nederland didn’t utilize Ned or Clay enough down the stretch. Better play calling on the purple side. The refs were ok. I don’t think png got any holding calls all night. Sorry I had to stick that in there. All and all it’s not a bad loss.

It’s another MCM Friday Night. It can’t get here fast enough. Both teams are crescendoing. Both student sections will be insane. No flares I hope. I think it’s going to be a slobber knocker. The first team that goes ahead will lose the lead. It will go back-and-forth and the last one who scores wins. “Go Dawgs” Thank you Lord for the beautiful weather.

Should be a good one. Both teams are playing well. It should be a home-field advantage, but it won’t be. Both have good defenses so it’s gonna be up to the offense. Play calling will determine the winner. Go dogs.

Congratulations Dogs. You guys have announced your authority. Coach Spell is sitting up in the stands with a big smile on his face. It’s been a long road and now you’re back.

I see your point. It’s the coach’s decision. I think they (coaches) are fully aware of kids getting hurt. Working on passing or different plays, is a possible scenario. Keeping them in a rhythm maybe. You don’t want these guys sitting around too long. You know what they say about idle minds. He’s not making a statement. There are no poles here.

It’s hard to tell how great Nederland played when Lee played so bad. Anyway great game, especially the defense, special teams and the qb. These kind of games is what you need sometimes.

Great game Dogs. The refs didn’t throw a flag till 3rd quarter. Bringing in a receiver to play quarterback was tuff but he stuck with it. Great job. #8 is fast and needs to be utilized more. Defense looked great in spurts except the secondary. They need to get better and play smarter. Hey we got a win. No better feeling on a Saturday morning.

Yeah Blubaugh has been great lately. So I can’t be too mad. This is a great Phillies team though. Peña’s great play and Marshes base running era may have saved the game. Hader finally gave up a run but the Stros hung on. Yordan needs to get rolling. I like how the Astros get up when they play good teams.

The Newman teams were slow out of the gate at times, so that is what I’m gonna do, be slow to decide if this team will be a winner or not. This week will probably determine a lot of things. Offense takes a little more time than defense to develop. Dogs by 6.
