I know losing is painful, but I like the fight. Congrats to Dayton, who always brings something to the party. Defense needs some shoring up. Maybe it's time for some guys to go both ways.

Picking Big Ned in a close Homecoming battle. Parades, pretty girls in sparkly dresses, bonfire and all the hoopla will hopefully pump these guys up. Since Dayton wears purple...well you know.

The injury deal is a bit perplexing. Is it just bad luck, or is it the players are not stretching enough, not keeping in good shape, bad trainers, bad doctors? They misdiagnosed Alverez.

It will be as much as Coach Rich wants to score. I think he will try some 2nd stringers fairly early and keep the score respectful.

Coaching is a skill. You have to know when to rest certain players, no matter how good they are. Especially the big guys.

Slow start for the dog, as usual. Defense better show up, or it will be a long night. Offense will be better. I am looking at the Lumberton game as a scrimmage. I listened to the game, and it is hard to ascertain if the Dog's offense was that bad or the Raiders' defense was that good. Hopefully Coach Rich comes up with the right answers.

I look to see a good start on both sides. Lumberton sure does need it. Ned will be fine. You will see what Coach Rich has created. A balanced attack. Dogs by 17.
