Mid County Madness predictions 2019
A BUC 77 replied to NHSBulldogFan's topic in High School Football
Indians probably favored. Nederland needs play smart and mistake free. Stop with the in opportune penalties. Saw a lot fight in the second half of the Crosby game. -
Being in Crosby is going to be a tough call. Hoping Big Ned continues to get better. Run defense seemed pretty good last week and that's what we'll need. Although these running backs are going to have a little more physical speed. Containing will be the issue. It's good to hear that they have passing issues. Dogs by 7.

Barbers Hill is favored. They are a balanced team. I don't know if they've had a bad game yet, but if they're down just a little and if PNG can muster up a passing game, the Indians could upset them. They are at The Rez.

Going to be good game. Anahuac playing well again. EC can’t make to many mistakes.
-
It was just an observation. Scoring 10 points is not much offense. I know field conditions, weather and the Vidor defense was a factor. Holding the Pirates to 6 point on defense seems to be improvement.
-
Couldn’t make it to the game but listened in. It was a defensive struggle. If not for the dogs stripping the ball, Pirates win. Vidor is a few plays off from having a great season. Our defense seems to be there. Offense needs some work if they want to beat Crosby.

50% Friday night. Perfect.
-
I think Monty will spread it out. Keep out of the trenches. Tell the kids to run to the secret dry spots.
-
Nederland has decided to play a little football. This should be a great game, as usual. Depends on Ned’s offense moving the ball. If they have good games by they’re 2 running backs, they win. There can be different levels of rivalries.
-
Not to many teams have a harder schedule than the the Aggies.
-
Dogs get better this week. Always play Lee pretty well, even though they have the home field. We will out score them and get our 3rd win (by a small margin).
-
EC is like any other town in southeast Texas, some like to brag. For the most part they are not arrogant. They will take care of business on the field, even though half the town was flooded. Then they will shake your hand after the game and go celebrate.
-
The Hill will be a little tired from kicking Nederland around. So, it will be a close one but still win by 7.
-
After what I witnessed Friday night, I can't predict what the turnout will be. I'll try though. Nederland comes out with the right changes on the line (both sides and special teams). QB needs to make a few runs. Beats Dayton by 3 points.
-
I don’t think the year is lost. Talent is there, just not in the trenches and special teams. We still have one best coaching staff in the area. They will make some changes and I hope we will be competitive. Some guys may be going both ways. The Hill exposed all these problems. They were hitting on all cylinders. That blocked punt the line crumbled like dominos.

Nederland must have messed up on their schedule. The JV is playing tonight.

Is Hampshire Fannett the "REAL DEAL" this year

They have a pretty good coach. When a school has that, good things happen. More kids go out for the team. They play hard. The leaders step up. -
In previous years, all the festivities were done before the game.
-
I can remember when Barbers Hill was just a rice patty of off Interstate 10.
-
I wouldn't underestimate this Vidor team, but I think the Indians get out of town with they're scalps. I was very surprised when I saw that Vidor beat Crosby. This district will have no undefeated teams.
-
For the rest of the season, follow the teams Nederland lost to. Yes two are smaller teams, but far from typical.
-
Should be a close game. Glad we’re at the pound.
-
I hope they are prepared for this game and execute on both sides of the ball. This is a must win and I hope they don't take SF lightly.
-
The dropped punt was a big turning point. Nederland was still behind but had the momentum. Not saying they would have won because Silsbee was the better team Friday. I just think Nederland could have stole it. Big Ned needs to execute. Blocking is sub par. I cant comment on the play calling. No one can. There is a lot going on, on the sidelines that us mortal fans don't know about. Monte is lacking a few leaders out there. Thank the lord we have a week off. Congrats Silsbee. They came to play.

O line is the a difference maker. I noticed the RB's tip toeing up to the line and then breaking on a lot of plays. Which means one or two things. They're timid or there's no hole. I believe it's the latter.
