I've been to a few Nederland / Vidor games in my time, and they were all great games. Jeff Mathews was a competitor, motivator and good leader for the Vidor community. When the stands are full every Friday night, you're doing a lot of things right.

It’s hard to say “ this lost was an improvement.” Take the penalties and blunders away and we have a win. Secondary needs improvement. QB needs to work and focus on short passes. silsbee’s #5 was fantastic.

I guess I'm old school. It's gotten out of hand, I think. I believe in order for a student to play for a particular school, he must live in that school district. I know there are some great athletes that live in a district where the football program is not good, and the kid would benefit in another school district a few blocks down the road or even in the next county. It's a tough situation on the parents.
