Most of what you said is correct. They lost 3 starters (they are all sisters and they moved out of the district), and another broke her hand. What their coach has done this season to keep it together and make the playoffs is nothing short of remarkable.

Warren is much better than you think, and IMO they have the district MVP in their PG. Buna isn't loaded, they're very young and have had a successful season making it to the playoffs. Buna will compete for the district title next season.

Just wanted to point out the Buna is 5-3 in district, while EC is 3-5. I think the score of the EC/Buna game from last week was recorded wrong on here. The final was 56-53, Buna won in OT. I also know that Kville beat Warren earlier this week, but do not know the final score.

The best 3 players in Lumberton Basketball history are: 1. Brock McClure (This isn't debatable at this point.) 2. Jeremy Graham (Graduated 1997) 3. Jory Fondren (Graduated 2001 I think) In that order. I have a feeling Coach Mitchell would agree with me on the 3 players, but swap 2 and 3 since he played with Fondren.

Tal, played at Oklahoma State. One hell of a baseball player. He hit one of the longest, if not the longest HR's ever in the CWS at the time.

All I'm saying is I have never heard of any lawsuit regarding officiating in any game. Also, your statement about a payoff has absolutely ZERO to do with the complaints from Austin LBJ and the NAACP. Their complaints are based on alleged racial bias by the officials.

Any potential lawsuit has no merit. Do you know how many basketball games I've seen with 40 foul calls, 30 of those against one team? I don't know either, but its quite a few. I can tell you how many lawsuits resulted out of those games, zero. Before anyone gets smart, yes I know we're talking about a football game on this thread, but its the same premise.

So, I watched the video of the link attached in LC-M's post. The man representing the NAACP specifically said "people" were saying racial slurs. He did not say officials. In a complaint based mostly on the way the game was officiated, one would have to think if the officials were the "people" throwing out racial slurs, this would have most certainly been mentioned.

Anyone wanting an entire team to be punished for one player's illegal actions is being combative by the nature of the comment. It's really just like saying if I go out and drive drunk, run a red light and hit another car, causing the death of the other driver, then my family should be punished the same as I would be. Some of these comments are absolutely insane. This kid unfortunately committed a crime. He should be punished accordingly. However, no one else on the team should be punished for his actions. That's ridiculous. Those of you comparing his actions to a holding penalty are comparing apples and oranges. You're comparing breaking the law to a holding penalty. Not even close to the same thing. The school district caved to the fake angry mobs and keyboard warriors like a few of you on this thread.
