I kinda want to know what was said, I can't lie. If you don't want to put it out on the board again I understand, PM me if you can. If you don't want to, no biggie. I'm just curious. On a brighter note, congrats to Coach Matthews on the win. One of my favorite coaches to cover and talk to in all of my time at the Enterprise. Great guy.

West Orange-Stark 55 Bridge City 0/FINAL

It's scary how good WO-S is this season. I wish I was there to see at least one game of theirs. -
End of the 3rd quarter: still 35-7 Newton

Maybe if they're a freshman or sophomore. But if I have to transfer from one part of the state to another or into Texas from out-of-state and I'm a senior or junior, why should I have to sit out because some people don't like when people transfer?
-
But then you're punishing the legitimate transfers by making them lose a year. It's nearly impossible to legislate who is transferring and for what reason.
-
I covered that game lol, I don't remember the exact call but you're right, I do remember one questionable call that the H-J fans didn't like.
-
This kind of reminds me of the buildup surrounding the WO-S/H-J game in 2014. Hawks were 8-0 going into the game I believe.

I knew that there were, just couldn't remember exactly which ones. Even in the NFL, they have Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium for the Broncos (although I'm sure that will change given Sports Authority shutting down.

I don't know about high school but in college there are a few stadiums like that (i.e. Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium for FSU)

Last year, Bridge City beat Newton by 5 I think. But BC did win.
-
Last year, Venice beat Stephenville 37-8 & Allen beat Viera (7A state runner-up to St. Thomas Aquinas). In 2013, Venice beat Plano 35-21 and Stephenville beat Dillard 46-32. 2012, Booker T. Washington beat Cedar Hill 40-21. 2011, Cocoa beat Dallas Skyline 36-20. 2010 had quite a few. Looks like it's been pretty even between FL and TX.

Generally speaking, stadiums in Florida aren't as lavish as what you see in Texas or even Georgia. I don't know the exact reasons why, but oil money could be apart of it. Also, the school districts here go by county, not city like in TX. So I can imagine it'd be much harder to pass individual school bonds here. Plus, they just put more resources into extracurricular activities in general in TX.

I believe his family moved to the DFW area and he was looking at Southlake Carroll and maybe other schools outside of Aledo. One way or another, the rich get richer as they say.

Wouldn't the booster club pay for stuff like jerseys? Or is it actually the taxpayers?

20 must see Southeast Texas football games in 2016
dBerrySports replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Football
Sorry to get off the subject of the title, but calling the coverage area "Golden Triangle" would be the opposite issue of calling it Southeast Texas. Correct me if I'm wrong, the Golden Triangle is Beaumont, Orange, Port Arthur? Well that would leave out all of Hardin County, Jasper County, Newton County, and a little bit more. They won't be able to please everyone.
