Brent has also been selected out of all the seniors in our region to play in the annual Senior Showcase to be held on May 3rd. The game will be played at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. I believe the game time is 12:00 but it may be later. I will verify and re-post. Eric Lane from Brenham will be this years coach. Brenham HS was the Class 4A State Runner-Up this year. Congrats to them on a great year.

Just spoke to Brent and he has commited to play soccer at the University of Texas-Tyler. Brent plans to become a chemical engineer and UT-Tyler has an excellent program for engineers. Coach Jones at UT-Tyler will love having him around and Brent will bring alot to the table for the Patriots who were the back-to-back ASC Champions. Congratulations Brent! I totaly agree with Bon Mot. Not a good time with all the talent, not to mention a 10 team district.

Starting keeper for Lumberton only gave up 6 goals in district play and had 8 Shut Outs in district play. Those are pretty good numbers for a sophomore keeper.

Lumberton will play the winner of the Pine Tree vs. Henderson Game: If Pine Tree wins we will play Monday night at 8 at either Humble's Turner Field or Lufkin Hudson. If Henderson wins we will play at 8 Monday night at Lufkin Hudson I will post the game site and time as soon as it is confirmed.
