  1. I was at the second game, the one that only went 13 innings, and it was crazy. I can't imagine how tired the players must have been at the end.
  2. Come on Lazeek - It wont be that bad - Lamar loses by a dozen. 75-63
  3. I just figured that one was obvious!
  4. Never liked him, but always respected him and watching him play was a joy to watch. Ken Griffey Jr during his prime years. That guy played one way - full speed - all the time. If not for the injuries, could have come close to Ruth as the greatest of all time.
  5. They lose by two points to the #4 team in the country at their place on a last second shot after a bogus traveling call. No shame in that loss. I don't think anybody expected Duke to navigate the ACC unscathed. They get another shot at Wake in about a month.
  6. I have been a fan for many years. About 25 or so.
  7. As they should be!
  8. To make me feel better about their prospects this season, I would have liked to see some pitchers make the preseason teams.
  9. I'll be listening in on the radio.
  10. Definitely - he wears a Giants hat on his HOF plaque
  11. He was definitely an Astro in game 5 of the 2004 NLCS.
  12. They'll take care of business at home. 85 - 73
  13. Rick Barnes pretty much owns the Red Raiders. Plus this Red Raider tesam is not very good. I think Pat Knight may be done after next year.
  14. I said before the game that UTA would be hungry for this one, and they were. UTA did shoot lights out which made it more difficult to catch up. Time to man up and get ready for McNeese on Saturday.
  15. That's Lamar's first signing day in 20 years. LU cards thinks that we will hurt the recruiting efforts of McNeese.
  16. was good in 2003 - terrible in 2004, terrible in 2006 and terrible in 2007 - did not pitch in 2008 after Tommy John surgery
  17. In my opinion!
  18. C'mon guys there was still some talent in the 90s. MAtt Sundblad, Ronald Nunnery, LAndown Rowe, KEnyon Spears, Atim Browne, Karl Malvo. I was a student in the 90s, so I remember all these guys. I believe that LU consistenly had the best talent in the conference at this time, but the worst coaching.
  19. I'm only over in Humble, but it just sems difficult to get over to the Montagne even on a Saturday night. Life with kids and a full time job, huh?
  20. Admittedly, I've only seen Dawkins play one time, but I'd take Atim Browne any day of the week and feel pretty good about my chances. Brooks is another good one, Oliver, Sewell, but I remember watching Atim play a lot of games and he was so smooth.
  21. I know very little about this UTA team, but I do know that this is our first conference road game. This will be a veru good measuring stick game for us and for UTA. My heart says LU, but my head worries about the road woes the Cards have historically had. I'll say UTA by less than 5. They are likely real hungry after that loss on Saturday.
  22. Again - it's not Lamar Beaumont - it's Lamar University.
  23. He is one of those that we will look back on in years to come and wonder what could have been.
  24. That was awesome.
