  1. I feel sorry for them every week except when they face my Raiders. We're gonna beat em like they stole something. We have a lot butt-whoopins to make up for.
  2. Let's face it. Lumberton is about a 4 TD underdog based on scores from the last few years. If PNG wins this game, everyone will say "Well, y'all were supposed to win". But if PNG loses, more than just the HC will be contacting their local realtor. Heck, if Nelson goes home to PNG, it might be as the new HC.
  3. He's probably still riding that 2 seater back from Baytown. It's further than it looks even with 2 people peddling that bike.
  4. If those folks are either the superintendent or board members, then it's a waste of breath even talking about it. I was surprised when Silsbee paid for a track last year and didn't go ahead with the turf. The track is half the expense.
  5. Aggie, is it that the funds aren't there or it's not a priority with the administration and the school board. Because a million dollars never just shows up in your budget. But if it's important and determined to be a priority, then it can be done even with your current budget and without a bond. Lumberton is a prime example of that. But in the end, it's sort of like having children. If you're waiting for the perfect time to have them, then you will never have children.
  6. That's what it's all about right there. Glad to hear the fan is stable also
  7. I have the utmost respect for Jehling. Class act. And no he was not one of the ones.
  8. Heard a couple of those coaches wouldn't even shake Lumberton's hands after the jv game. I sure hope they act more mature tonight after the game.
  9. Graduate? His screen name just means his last year of hs was 99. He was a 4th year Freshman.
  10. It probably never rained back then. I do remember it snowing a lot and having to walk uphill both ways to school.
  11. 1. Baytown Sterling 2. Port Arthur Memorial 3. Dayton 4. Crosby 5. New Caney 6. Barbers Hill 7. Humble 8. Lumberton 9. Bridge City 10. Liberty 11. Henderson 12. West Orange-Stark 13. Orangefield 14. Crockett 15. East Chambers 16. Coldspring-Oakhurst 17. Silsbee 18. Woodville 19. Evadale 20. Shelbyville 21. San Augustine 22. Kountze 23. Deweyville 24. West Hardin 25. Beaumont Central
  12. Vidor averaged over 6 yds per carry against a pretty good BH team. I don't think the offense is a problem like some are saying
  13. This is kind of off-topic but am I the only one that thinks the BH Supt looks like he is from Caney Head.
  14. I agree about not counting Nederland out. This is the same song and dance you see from them every year in pre-district games.
  15. I take that to mean that she believes they were paid for, either partly or in full, with donations. Was she misinformed?
  16. It's gonna be strange playing a HF team without King
  17. I think they got 1 on their first offensive play. After that, you are correct.
  18. Sounds like a lot of discrepancies. Let's all just start over with week 2.
  19. That's the funniest thing I've read in a while. BigCam can always help keep things in perspective. Like Cam said, hang in there.
  20. Freshman Game Lumberton 6 Porter 0, game called in the 3rd quarter
  21. We better hope it goes down again if Crosby beats Manvel.
  22. Wasn't it DeLaSalle out of California that traveled all the way to DFW last year?
  23. 70M for a stadium for 3 schools is a little crazy but over 60% of the voters said yes to the 220M bond. I'd be curious to know the tax increase the voters will see on $220M. On a brighter note, there is 150M going towards the rest of the school district.
  24. You know by picking Porter to win, you now have given up the right to say "Big deal. You beat Porter. You were supposed to beat Porter." whenever Lumberton wins. Right? I expect a polite, sincere, congratulatory statement after we pull off the upset.
