He's talking about Porter being Bigger, Stronger and Faster than the Raiders. Probably also saying that they are better coached, better off-season program, better gene pool, better looking girlfriends, etc, etc. All of this because they are West of the Trinity.

I think he is referring to one of those two words. And it's not atmosphere.

It had to have been around 59-61 when Silsbee integrated. Silsbee players were excited about winning more games but bummed about losing starting positions.

To start at QB as a 9th grader in 5A, you are either incredibly gifted and talented or the pickins were pretty slim at QB. Which was it?

If I was still young and looking for trouble, I could find all I could handle here in Lumberton. But these days, I'm too old and my body can't handle that mess anymore. I remember Porter having some athletes when I watched them a few years ago. If they get loose a couple times, this prediction could be spot on. Offensively, I'd like to think we would score like this but the offense is young. May take a couple weeks to hit our stride. I'll say 36-13

I agree with demon and ltrain11. HJ looked good on both sides of the ball and dominated for the first half of the scrimmage. Lumberton got things going a little late in the scrimmage. Best thing was no injuries. It was a good workout/practice for both teams and showed where we need to get better. Good luck HJ.

I'm not a fan of Thomas but he has never even been charged with anything. So unless that ever happens, we should limit discussions to relevant Football discussions. It seems juvenile to keep bitching about the name of the stadium year after year.

I would never call any program a joke because by doing that you are insulting the kids who are working their tails off for those programs. That's probably one of many differences between the two of us. I would however call you a joke. I'm not easily amused or entertained by folks like you who run around beating their chest and talking down about everyone else. I've found that most people who do that usually have some insecurities that they are covering up or "compensating" for.
