Do BISD schools end today? Will Ozen begin the summer with no coach? I feel for those kids. That's a shame

Great comments by Mrs Padgett. I would certainly feel better sending a female to school at Baylor right now with them under a microscope. Most people have NO idea just how bad this stuff is happening at colleges all over the country. They are all heartbreaking stories but the one about the Mizzou swimmer, Sasha Menu Courey, is especially sad as she ultimately took her own life. There needs to more attention and focus on the subject of Sexual Assault with college students. It is a much bigger problem than most will admit to. And if you have a daughter going to college soon or in college now, it is terrifying.

Before anybody got fired, all I kept hearing was how these young men were committing and signing with Baylor because of the high quality education. If that were really true, then I would not expect to see many transfers.

I agree. The crowd would have looked different if you had schools like Allen playing in Houston.

Recruits are told continuously to imagine tomorrow you stopped playing the sport you are signing for. Can you still see yourself going to that college? If you can't, then you shouldn't sign with that school.

I agree that it is a long shot. That's why they call it an upset. :-) I wouldn't bet my paycheck that it will happen but I wouldn't have bet on the Toronto Raptors beating the almighty Cleveland Cavaliers in Games 3 and 4 recently either. I also wouldn't have bet on GCM beating Nederland 2 years in a row. But just to put things even more in perspective, didn't PAM lose to Ozen last year?

If they lose to either Vidor OR Lumberton, they just might.

Are you saying it was the HF coaches' fault that those boys' parents had concerns about their health?

I see coaches starting to favor either a non-contact spring game or not having one at all. The risk of injury outweighs the reward of playing a full-contact, meaningless game.

Did Crosby have one of those secretive, midnight spring games like Nederland has?

My guess... so varsity and sub-varsity are not having to split time on the field. If you have the land and the money, then go for it.

I think the noise maker inventory just went up a notch in LCM.

Do you know what the cost of these fields are? Maybe there is an estimate to this project on the bond? Just curious

Interesting. If one deserving coach doesn't get a parade, "It's a CRYING SHAME", but when another deserving coach doesn't get a parade, "it would be in poor taste". I just don't feel the same emotional outrage given for both of these coaches. But seriously, both very deserving of more recognition than they received.
