  1. Congratulations Josh & De De !!! Hard work and determination always pay off. Good Luck to the both of you guys and I am confident that you both will be a success. GO DEMONS!
  2. I think Raggett, Gardiner and Lott from Ozen had a very good year. Very good ballplayers that don't get enough notoriety because of their team's lack of winning. Raggett Avg .406 HR 2 RBI 13 SB 12 Errors 1 1st Team All District OF 22-4A Gardiner Avg .386 HR 1 RBI 15 1st Team All District SS 22-4A Lott Avg. .300 HR 3 RBI 21 1st Team All District Utility (P, 1st) 22-4A
  3. Josh Gardiner threw the last 3 innings. 6 strike outs , and no hits. D.D. lott also threw the first four innings with 7 strike outs.
  4. Ozen showed signs of being really good and they also showed signs of mental lapses. Yes, they played an extremely tough schedule against very good 5A schools. But I was disappointed because of the mental and physical errors that were displayed. Gardiner, Lott and Raggett held their own against the tough 5A competition. Gardiner and Lott homered against Tomball and Raggett homered against Conroe. Basically, Ozen was in every game for the first 3 innings but the wheels eventually fell off. I just hope the players continue to work hard and learn from this experience. Panthers will contend for a playoff spot. Go Panthers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Hey Coop, How can Memorial be named Champions when they were in the loser's bracket and Groveton and Ozen were undefeated? ???
  6. Guys, You mean to tell me that Ozen, with Darkins, James, Gardiner And Lott are ranked 10th best in your opinion. I don't think that Ozen has enough depth to compete with some of these teams overall, but the subject is "Best pitching staff". Ex..... Nederland only has one proven varsity pitcher(Helmke). same applies to PN-G. Lumberton and Orangefield, come on. Mo disrespect to these teams , but I think Ozen is overlooked big time.
  7. 1PN-G Ned 3 Ozen 4 LC-M 5 Vidor Dayton 7 Lumberton 8 Central PN-G and Nederland should battle it out for the district title. Ozen probably has the best pitching in the district. LC-M lost every player except Jake Rowell. Vidor and Lumberton can scare some people. I really don't know much about Dayton but I gotta respect the baseball team because of what the football team did in district. With that said, I firmly believe that the district is wide open.............. Let the games begin
  8. Deston James P Albert Lott P/1st Eric Harrington P/Utility Jake Rowell C Casey Jackson MVP Josh Gardiner P/Inf Thad Lycan Inf Tim Ferguson Inf David Murphy Inf Aaron McFarland 1st BJ Armstrong OF Mark Serna P/OF VJ Bunner Inf Todd Wallace C/Utility I may have missed some players but these are the obvious picks
  9. Without a doubt some of the top jrs. in 22-4a are: VJ Bunner Vidor Cody Hussey Lumberton Josh Gardiner Ozen Albert Lott Ozen Eric Harrington PN-G Ryan Sampere Ned Aaron McFarland Ned
  10. Comparing Mosley to Charles is like comparing a Volks Wagon to a Mercedes Benz, both will get you from point A to point B, yet in a very different STYLE. CHARLES BY FAR!!!!!!
  11. Ozen High School is also a team to watch this season. They have several returning players who has been starting on varsity since thier freshman years, very experienced solid players who also have several years of select experience play at the highest levels, 2 of which are only juniors and were very dominating pitchers in their competitive 4A district last year. One player was voted 1st team ALL District (Utility), and 2nd team Super Gold Team/SETX ALL District Team., and another voted 2nd team ALL District (Pitcher). GREAT TEAM TO WATCH THIS SEASON.
  12. Barry Valsin. Easily the best cornerback in Southeast Texas. He can be a shut down corner or he can knock your head off
  13. Davon Lewis PA Memorial
  14. Ozen has 3 legit pitches that can dominate a game at any given time. Deston James, Albert Lott and Josh Gardiner. Coach Thomas needs to really work on hitting and fielding. If he does, this team can really do something special this year
  15. I don't think that Jody should be too concerned about Mr. Jackcson behind the plate. He has done an exceptional job this year for the Cards. He is a very good catcher that will continue to get better by the time he graduates. And as for his offense, 3-4 , 2 homers against BH, enuff said. GOOD LUCK Casey Jackson and the Bridge City Cardinals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
