Sure would make it more interesting. Especially in the playoffs...honestly, there is zero reason for a 3 game series if a team isn't forced to changed pitchers.

This is how it usually works. Coaches have to take the best opportunity when it presents itself because it may not happen again.

Leaving HF is already a better situation.

Most likely because it was completely his fault that they were terrible. If you can't take a terrible basketball team and turn them into champions after one year then you have no business coaching. "eyes rolled"

Coaching has more to do with what you have to work with than anything. To be fair... if not then the same coach would win the state championship every year.

He probably won't stay long, then. WH seems like the kind of place that most good coaches stay away from. JMO

Happened to have been the first year to have 4 teams make the playoffs. But yes..they did get 4th and get in. I'm pretty sure there were some years prior that they also got 4th but only 3 teams went at the time. Including the year before Franklin got there. I think I read somewhere that they had a fairly decent year back when Hodges was at the helm. Neither here nor there.. This actually wouldn't be a bad job for whoever gets it. 4A D2 is such a watered down joke of a division that HJ could potentially have some decent 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd round runs spread out..as long as the classifications don't change much. But for the time being, I think it's gonna be easier for HJ to get better in football and harder to stay good in basketball. Kountze is slowly falling off in basketball so maybe it'd be a good time for Joubert to hit the road.

As much as I hate to disagree with you...I can’t help it. Surely you know that it’s impossible to know for sure who the 1st Team would be if they all played with or against each other. Since that is the case it has to go off of individual statistics as well as contrition to team success. Even if Silsbee’s 3rd best player might be better than someone else’s best player we’ll never actually know. So individual statistics have to be used as somewhat of a measuring stick along with several other factors.

I don't know if she can or she can't.. maybe she's an absolute basketball genius. I'm simply implying that the time in which to find out how well she can coach boys or not may not be to throw her into her first boys coaching experience with a 6A boys job. All I'm saying. Because I'm pretty positive that coaching boys basketball is a lot different than coaching girls basketball. Just like coaching 6A basketball is a lot different than coaching 1A basketball (for example). Just because it's all basketball doesn't make it the same.

You're not against a person getting a 6A boys basketball job that has no experience coaching boys basketball?
