Honestly I don't think they'll beat Anahuac. And to be honest...they play KV and Ana each right after a tough road game. It doesn't matter if you're at home if the kids are banged up. Would've been much better for Hardin had they played Warren, KV, and Ana the first 3 district games. I've been wrong before but that's what I see.

I can tell you 4 that they won't win no matter what the players decide. The others are going to really come down to who they play AFTER each of those 4 and whether or not they're at full strength. I'm saying it's not feasible. Best of luck...I'm just being realistic

May want to tap the brakes there partner.. Hardin should win this one but just because Buna (insert here) doesn’t mean Hardin will.

A couple weeks ago I was thinking it might look like this: WV, EC, OF, Buna, KV, Har, Ana, War Scrimmages are like bikinis. They don't show everything but sometimes they show a lot... Based on the first 2 scrimmages I don't know now. Will have a better idea after about week 2/3.

Uh oh... CC much better? Or WV worse? Scrimmage or not I figured WV would have their way if things were similar to last year.

I seriously don't know how I didn't notice it. Looking at the time I guess I could've been on my way out of my office but that usually doesn't matter.

I thought I was editing it.. after I noticed that it was "liked" I saw that there were a couple of grammatical errors. I was going to fix it but quoted it instead. I'm kind of OCD about stuff like that especially if/when I imply someone else's ignorance from time to time.

Sometimes playing up is a terrible idea. You need to build confidence in your kids or they won't believe in you or your scheme. Better to play bad teams and be 4-0 going into district then play great teams and be 0-4. Confidence it bit when it comes to teenage kids.

The year before last their QB didn't play because of...and injury maybe.. and they went 0-10. Last year the kid played and they won like 4 and were semi-competitive in several others. Yes, he graduated and I think is playing college baseball. Anyone that thinks to lose him won't make a difference may be mistaken.

I was actually being semi-sarcastic. Plus I thought it would be nicer to say "Hardin must be loaded" as opposed to "Livingston must be terrible". Either way.. Livingston is gonna be in bad shape whether Hardin is "better" or not. And Hardin will find out how competitive they might be after this week.

Will Ktze get in with the new opponents? Is Warren playing tough enough to make a push at 4th?

This shouldn’t matter with youth sports. I’ve always thought that kids should be students at the school to play school ball or participate in school activities...but youth sports/cheer don’t follow guidelines set by UIL so who cares.

Probably the best chance for a coach to be part of a state championship team in the state. This should get a little interest for that reason alone.

I would argue that some of the best coaches in the game will never win a title..and several state champion coaches could never win one if not for the crazy amount of talent they’ve had. Jimmies/Joes > Xs/Os

I will remember this conversation after a couple months of 11 on 11. Those pads make 7 on 7 successes and failures irrelevant.

Those are your words my man..I was simply stating that to imply that Highland Park wasn't athletic is..well..kind of dumb. They literally had D1 football players all over the field. Yeah they may have won the X's and O's battle but they were VERY athletic. What is so hard to understand about that?

Silsbee had faster kids than Carthage...how did their football game work out? Speaking of..I thought we were referring to the football state championship game. Was the original question asked about HP vs Manvel in a track meet?

There's not a football coach in Texas (5A and down) that would have a problem with that "nonathletic" team that HP had. Not one.
