Iran still wouldn't bargain so the US launched a cyber attack called Stuxnet to take over the PLCs on the centrifuges Iran was using to enrich the uranium. It was a joint venture between the CIA and Israeli Mossad, one that Israel messed up and got both countries caught but Iran came to the table. Republicans believe you can curve an ideology with sanctions but the democrats chose to use diplomacy, even if part of it was paying them back the money we owed them per the ruling in Geneva. Iran is not near the threat the right makes them out to be, after launching a retaliatory cyber attack against us US intelligence called Ahmadinejad and informed him they were inside his missile defense systems, communication systems and that they have the capability to turn the lights off in the country if he does anything that can be deemed an act of war. They're terrorizing Muslims though, so the rest of the world gives them a pass but that doesn't stop Israel from crying foul if the Palestinians do ANYTHING incendiary such as bring food into the country for the families. Jews are the people of God and the republicans are usually the more evangelical so it's a natural kinship, weird how they just elected an agnostic guy who said he doesn't ask for forgiveness though. Obama will most likely leave office with the highest approval rating since Reagan, even though he's dealt with unprecedented obstructionism in congress. We literally have a president elect that was sued and had to settle a housing discrimination suit and whose dad, Fred Trump, was arrested at a KKK rally protesting the immigration of Jews into the country. The state of New York had to settle with the Central Park 5 for over $40million for a wrongful conviction, yet Trump pushed that rhetoric much like he tried to delegitimize Obama's presidency by saying he wasn't an American citizen until a few months ago. Mitt Romney shot himself in the foot when he said a certain percentage of American don't pay taxes, lots of republicans agree with that. Now you have a guy admitting that he hasn't paid income tax in two decades and he's seen as "smart". The same people that believe he'll bring back don't realize how many people he put out of work by filing bankruptcy 6 different times, stiffing small business owners as well as other creditors along the way. Not to mention he still owes around $650million to foreign banks like the state owned Bank of China. What people will also realize is that republican aren't beholden to the middle class and that trickle-down economics favored by the right doesn't work. The people that run companies, especially ones that are publicly traded, main objective is to get maximum return on the dollar for their investors. If a company has the option of hiring 5k people to support their human resources and payroll at US wage rates or the option of hiring 5k people in India or Argentina at their rates, you kiss those jobs goodbye like many large corporations have. All the multibillion dollar fabrication jobs that can be performed cheaper in Mexico and Korea are still going be performed in Mexico and Korea because as an owner of a company that's smart business. I honestly think people are suckers if you believe even with a conservative supreme court that republicans will repeal Obamacare and take 20+million people off of health insurance, lock Hillary Clinton up, build a wall and have Mexico pay for it, ban Muslims from entering the country or put together a deportation force. At the end of the day he won't fulfill any of the promises that made the faction of his supports so fervent, just like every other politician he railed against.

KP could never manage to throw the ball under Holley, they had a few games here and there where Reyna would catch little dump off or slants and take them to the house. He never had major talent on any team he coached. He had a qb who couldn't throw, no useful running back and the TE you're talking about had 28 catches and one td the whole entire season. They basically ran student body left and right to pick up 4 yards at a time and keep the clock moving. He ran a tight run formation two games in a row before moving to the spread when they played Crosby this year. Porter can't do anything because their other stud receiver is out and people have film on their tendencies, that's why they lost the last two weeks. KP never had a receiver as capable as Jake Hall and never had anybody on the outside who was a matchup problem like Carney is. Under Holley, Porter is liable to have a gameplan where they don't even have 10 pass attempts against PAM.

Last year Williams ran for 985 yards on only 89 carries. Grace had 246 yards in the five quarters he go to play last season before he tore his ACL against Angleton where he already had 7 carries for 99 yards in the first quarter. Williams actually averaged over 11 yards per carry last season. Edwards not playing was a coach's decision, I think the way he punked Dayton and CE King showed he was good enough to play in the playoffs. You have to do it the right way if you want to play for Riordan though, it's not like Dayton.

Did you seriously compare FB Marshall to FB Ridge Point? Ridge Point has over 1,000 more kids than Marshall and just went undefeated through a 6A schedule allowing less than 8 points per game. Manvel beat Marshall 63-6, Marshall is basically a glorified HISD team with a few studs. Ridge Point is the biggest and fastest team in the Fort Bend 6A district after playing in the 5A D2 playoffs last year, Marshall isn't in the same hemisphere as Ridge Point. There is a game in a couple of days we'll worry about first though.

According to AAW PAM stopped Vidor on downs three times up until that point, why go onside? Kick it and play defense with that much time. Porter not running a spread has nothing to do with how much time their coach can take off the clock. A couple of years ago when at KP Jim Holley beat a CE King team, with the SEC's leading rusher Trey Williams, that's probably better than the current PAM team. KP played spread the whole year then pulled out a tight run formation against King and beat them. Basically installed a whole offense in a week, I'm not saying that what he'll do this week but the guy can coach. Porter does have personnel limits which is why I think PAM will win, but so did Vidor.

Crosby has been to the playoffs 12 years in a row and only lost in the first round once the past 8 years. Presently I don't think Vidor has the personnel to challenge Crosby if we don't have four lost fumbles, lose a possession on an onside kick and try one ourselves with no real need. I think PAM blows Vidor out if they don't have those things happen. PAM stopped Vidor three times on downs but just didn't play clean enough, BH and PNG did. I'm counting on winning by not turning the ball over multiple times and giving up extra possessions.

The other onside kick I was referring to was when PAM was only down 3 points with 8 mins left in the fourth and decided to try an onside kick themselves giving Vidor a short field after PAM's defense had held them to a field goal in the second half. That was a poor coaching decision IMO, and I think it's even more poor now that you said they actually stopped Vidor on down twice in their own territory. Just kick it deep and play defense again, PAM was up 21-3 in the second half it sounds like Harrison just got to anxious. I don't think Riordan will be making coaching decision that benefit the other team when we line it up.

Cy-Ranch, Katy, North Shore and Alief Taylor are all on the same side of the bracket. I really like Cy-Ranch but their scare against Cy-Ridge kind of makes me give Katy the edge to beat them and play for the regional title. I've been high on Ridge Point, who shouldn't even be playing in D1 with their enrollment, all year. I kind of cooled on them when BJ Rainford was lost for the year but they're giving up less than 8ppg on the season defensively. I think Cy-Fair beats Lamar in a tight one but if Ridge Point can knock off the winner of that game I see them playing Katy for the regional championship. I think D2 is wide open in region 3 but I like Cy-Ridge or Dawson to make the regional final from one side of the bracket. I wouldn't be surprised if they're playing George Ranch who might be getting hot right now or Langham Creek who's had to grind through that Cy-Fair ISD district.

If PAM has four lost fumbles and loses two possessions to onside kicks they'll lose to Porter too. Basically 6 turnovers for PAM to 0 for Vidor. You do that against Jim Holley and you'll probably be down by more than 3 points mid-way through the fourth quarter like they were to Vidor before doing more dumb stuff.

PLC has what, 15+ playoffs win in the same time Vidor has 2? Angleton finished the season 5-5 in that same tough district PLC played in last year, they ended up playing in the regional final and GR won the state championship out of that district. You lack of football knowledge is surprising for as long as you say you been around the game. Vidor fans accuse me of belittling their town because I post relevant statistics about football. Once you make a comment about a jv team who's varsity has won 2 playoff games in 54 years compared to a coastal bend power like PLC I was pointing out how ignorant that sounded. Obviously some Vidor fans agree that they run that offense better than anyone in Texas so MY rebuttal would be seen as belittling them, that Realville and Rob guy always comments on it.

Hold on to whatever you want. In the 11th game the season if you're still looking for poster board material you're already at a disadvantage. Central just played two of the worst teams in the district, they should look like they're improving. I still think NC probably wins something like 42-21, there won't be anything Central can do that NC hasn't seen against Crosby, BH, Dayton, Porter or NC. I don't think Porter is very good so I already said PAM should blow them out. What you'll realize is that 2011 was a long time ago. Crosby, BH and Porter all had different head coaches back then and Pennington was in his first year at New Caney.

I guess we see the difference one of the most highly paid coaches in Texas can make in this one. Fist game of district play BH loses to Crosby 42-18, second to last game of district play BH loses to New Caney 42-17 before ending with a solid win over Porter. I personally believe BH is still short on athletes but that's what you pay the coach for. I think on good thin for BH is that Johnson rushed for all those yards and tds last week. Prior to that game BH might not even have put a spy on him, now their defensive staff probably views that as the primary threat. I think this will be similar to the PNG vs Dayton games the last couple of years scoring wise. Probably the best game of the four as far as competitiveness.

Here's another fact check for a team that doesn't run the slot-t as well as Vidor's jv. Yeah, they were 6-5 when we played them just like Crosby was 6-5 after losing to Vidor in 2011. PLC's playoff record for the last decade under Richard Whitaker starting in 2015 going backward: 1st round, 2nd round, semis, 2nd round, 3rd round, 3rd round, 4th round, 3rd round, 2nd round and 2nd round. I think every Crosby fan I talked to agrees with what you said verbatim. As a fan of a team whose head coach averages 10 wins per season all I can do is watch and hope we keep winning. I do think New Caney is probably better than any team we'll play at the D2 level until a possible third round game with Georgetown though.

New Caney's defense is pretty good. They shut our offense out in the second half but I'm sure our 100 yards in penalties helped. Central is playing with such a thin margin of error it's hard to see where they have advantages X's and O's wise. I think they give up 21 to New Caney on scheme alone. Question is how many more do they give up from Marte Allison and Jordan Cooper making individual plays? I see Central gave up 100+ rushing yards and three tds to PNG's qb. New Caney's qb Cooper is a heavier, more physical runner who's very hard to contain off the read-option fakes. I would compare New Caney to PNG with a slightly less potent passing game but a more physical run game and better defense.
