Kind of what I was thinking. I think we can get an easy 40 if we get good qb play, if not I think we're going to be in a tight game.
-
This year I don't think Cedar Park would beat Denton Ryan, Lancaster, Frisco Lone Star or Foster. I think they would also struggle with College Station after seeing them beat Temple this weekend. You would never have to worry about them playing that potential game at the Butch though, UT, A&M, Baylor, Alamodome and NRG are all more sought after venues that time of year.

22-5A vs 21-5A bidistrict venue prediction
Cougar14.2 replied to Indianforever's topic in High School Football
Splendora's qb has 600 yards passing and the Chronicle has Vidor's qb with 140 passing yards on the season minus a couple of games with no stats I'm sure wouldn't add much to that total. Games against BH and PNG when you were down and passing could've helped Quirante went a combined 1-4 for 14 yards and a pick. Y'all have both been blown multiple times when throwing the ball could've been effective. -
Porter beat Crosby and Dayton throwing the ball to #2 Carney. He had 17 catches for 445 yards and 5 tds combined in those two games. He played against New Caney, #6 is the one that didn't. I never though Porter was very good because their makeup was so fragile, they have to throw the ball down the field at a high completion percentage to be effective. They can't run the ball and their defense isn't very good, reminds me a lot of Holley's Kingwood Park teams that were good with Henderson but would get blown out with just one player missing. I agree with everything else you said though, I think BH blows Porter out. Especially if the kid opposite Carney doesn't play again this week.

22-5A vs 21-5A bidistrict venue prediction

It also gives Vidor one less day to heal after being beat up by a bigger, stronger and faster PAM team. PAM has seen that offense and is about to blow Vidor out. Crosby has already played Splendora who runs the same offense and held them to 12 points. They have their own 1000+ yard back and throw it better than Vidor does out of that offense too. BH had never played against that offense either and all Vidor could manage was 6 points on them, Splendora scored 7 on BH. -
Exactly, of all places. If you're "riding through" Crosby like he said and end up where some trailer houses are I would question your initial motive. All I see in Crosby are skyrocketing real estate prices due to houses being packed into where I used to hit golf balls and ride four wheelers.
-
Yeah, it's head to head in their district but Georgetown also needs to beat Connally the last week of the season so GT, Rouse and Hutto don't all end up with 5-3 district records leaving Hutto out and sending Cedar Park D2. Basically if GT doesn't beat Connally this week Cedar Park will be D2.

22-5A vs 21-5A bidistrict venue prediction

Yes, and it was a thin Crosby crowd. Partly due to temperature but 60 miles from the house for a bi-district game on a weekday odd. -
?, Lol. What are you talking about man? I'm a FLS and work 4x10 unless I'm on turnaround, like most up and down the channel. Secondly, I wasn't taking a shot at your town. I was pointing out how every time someone lays out some statistics or data some of the Vidor fans go to "Isn't it past your bedtime", or your above post including "probably sitting in a control room somewhere playing on your IPhone. . . ". It's either that or you guys point to a singular event in time five years ago hence the encyclopedia reference. You guys are so sensitive about your town you think someone is talking about you when they aren't. Your trailer comment is odd from a place where the parents literally search for their children's shoes due to field conditions. I can promise you trailers aren't paying for a new school and multimillion dollar stadium renovations complete with the parachuter to fly in before the national anthem and fireworks. We both have games first, so I'll leave it there for now.

22-5A vs 21-5A bidistrict venue prediction

I don't understand that either, there's at least a dozen playoff caliber stadiums I would think Westeberg would prefer over traveling to Beaumont. On Maxpreps it does have Crosby playing Vidor on a Thursday though. -
Lol, the typical Vidor rebuttal lacking content or a reference in which an encyclopedia is needed.
-
They're better than the King team last year, this year's Central team probably isn't as good as either of the previous two though.
-
I think both teams are going to hit some big plays in the passing game. I think the team that wins this one is the team the runs the ball the most effectively. Even though Crosby's overall offensive line play has been sketchy at times we've gotten excellent movement in the run game lately. Crosby is used to playing these games, New Caney is the new kid on the block. I think Code Red goes up 1485 and puts it away in no doubt fashion. Crosby 45 New Caney 28
-
They would most likely lose by a wide margin to New Caney in the first round.
-
They all realize you're going to get blown out for the third time this year. It's also going to be a great film game for Crosby, along with the benefit of PAM beating you guys up the week before you play us. I think PAM gets up big, then shuts it down to go into the playoffs healthy.
-
If New Caney wins this game they win the outright district championship for the first time in a couple of decades. If Crosby wins this game they win at least a share of the district championship for the third straight year. If Barbers Hill knocks off Porter in the season finale I would consider this game for the district crown straight up, it would go down in the annals as a "Co-district championship" in that case though. I see it as starting the playoffs a week early, especially Crosby who's going back to the place they lost to Porter. This game doesn't change either team's #1 seeding but it will be a big boost going into the playoffs.
-
It's win and you're in for Ned next week. Based on my math though, as long as Livingston beats Ozen to end the season and cause a three way tie between Livingston, Ned and Central, Central has the best chance at getting in next week. Basically PNG beats Ned and Livingston beats Ozen, Central will walk into the playoffs with a win over Baytown Lee. I'm expecting either PNG to beat Ned or PAM to beat Vidor next week so the only thing to decide in 22-5A is the D1 #2 seed. I would say go ahead and get the film ready as far as D2. Bi-District Crosby vs Vidor Barbers Hill vs Port Neches-Groves

Wow, so much hope for Splendora after beating Dayton. Believe they've lost six straight district games now. Hard for a team with that enrollment not to wear down over the course of the season. Not a bad looking football team on the hoof though, their game against NC the commentators were talking about how their kids all of a sudden grew when they got to 5A.
-
Seems like aporter did a good job on containing Cooper in the run game, 22 carries for 52 yards of which some were obviously pass attempts he pulled down. Looks like it was 13-7 half way through the 4th quarter. My opinion is that whoever's defense has the least lapses wins the game next week.

Very pleased with what I saw overall from Crosby, defense played extremely well. Taylor Perry had over 100 int. return yards and Alec Lewis basically dominated from the rover position. Humble isn't a great passing team but what attempts they did have we covered, especially #17 Palmer who had three deep pass break-ups in 1 v 1 situations and a game-stopping hit on another pass break-up. Humble probably had less than 40 total yards when the starters were pulled to start the 4th quarter. For about five games in a row the offensive line has gotten movement, they were borderline dominant tonight and Grace looked the best I've seen him all year. We were sloppy at times, twice inside the 5 yardline with no points plus a turnover. Also had a punt return TD called back on a block in the back behind the play. Starting qb got banged up and sophomore backup came in and went 3 for 3 on TD drives to end the third quarter and start the fourth. Three of the four starting receivers are playing at an all-district level right now. Before Crosby fans comment on who should play where just understand for all our issues we're averaging over 41ppg in district play. The defense was supposed to lead this team anyway. Now the focus turns to beating New Caney and winning at least a share of the district championship for the third straight year.

Best thing that could happen for our district is for Porter to beat New Caney tonight. That way New Caney gets PAM and a chance for a sweep.
-
For the first time in a long time I think three of the four bi-district games between 21-5A and 22-5-5A will be harder than the second round games where you play the Fort Bend vs HISD winners. The winner of the game between 21-5A D1 #1 seed vs 22-5A D1 #2 seed will get Manvel.

Rouse is probably going to beat Elgin, an Rlgin win would lock CP into D2 as long as Hutto won out. The realistic scenario to lock CP into D2 is just for Georgetown to beat Connally at the end on the season
