  1. North Shore's and Crosby's defense gave up the same amount of points and Crosby's offense scored 8 more than North Shore's offense.
  2. Only beat Crosby by one more point . . . Hmm?
  3. #22 for North Shore is about his business. Preston probably has close to 10 targets tonight and I don't think he has a catch.
  4. Bet coach Martin wishes he would've kicked the extra point instead of going for two after the last TD. Didn't under stand the call, the xp puts you up by 10 after the last TD and ties the game now.
  5. They have a kid named Jay'shaun or something like that who'll be able to get 1000+ in his absence. Kid is legit.
  6. Anther interesting score after North Shote beat Dekaney 56-19 last week.
  7. Interesting game to say the least.
  8. More like 2000 to 4600 but same difference I guess.
  9. Do people in 22-5A think it's easier or touher to have the extra district game?
  10. Yeah, and we needed 40 to beat Manvel just like I said. I've learned over the last several years that great athletes often trump coaching. Riordan probably blows Sadd Jackson out of the water coaching wise and we still lost by 17 to them because Manor just had the better athletes. Same thing for Ridge Point who came into the game 8-3 and beat us by 28. You still think Coach Ford at Summer Creek is a good coach now that SC can't make the playoffs in their district, or did he run through the district twice because he just had the better athletes and more of them to choose from. I'm not trying to argue about anything, I actually know who Reagan will put on the field and not just making an assumption based on where the team is from. All I ever hear is about how I should give some other teams respect, now that I am I shouldn't be? Think about if Crosby were to win this game by 7 points, the conversation would be "What's wrong with Crosby?". It wouldn't be a very educated comment because people don't know what they're putting on the field. Pride, you of all non-Crosby posters I would expect to understand this but instead you're acting as naïve as some of our brethren across the river.
  11. Yeah, the only problem with that is they aren't poorly coached like a lot of the other HISD schools. Once Coach Dixon took over the job it took him a few years to get the program going and now they've been to the playoffs five straight years, which really isn't saying much in that district but it is what it is. Coach Dixon is probably just as good a coach as Averion Hurts but they have to play the hand they're given. I think Crosby should win too, I'm just not with you on the fairly easily part. Unit by unit they match up extremely well with Crosby, the only place we'll have a real advantage is qb and rb. I'm not sure about the receivers because they have a 6-4/200lb kid named Davion Zeno that looks like he's going to be pretty tough to check.
  12. If King played at Allen they would've still won the games and championships they did, if Kyler Murray played at Manvel they still lose to Katy three times in a row. Same size, same speed and King's arm is equally as strong or better. They're pretty much the same player except Murray got to play more games and rushing numbers were a lot better because wasn't a back like Pennamon to take the pressure of Murray. Manvel was able to beat Crosby up at the line of scrimmage, that won't happen tonight. Last year even with 12 D1's in one class Manvel could only squeak out a three point win. I just think North Shore eventually grinds Manvel down.
  13. They beat North Shore 43-40 last year in North Shore. They've actually beaten North Shore the last two years, this will be the 5h year in a row they have played.
  14. Other than the 40+ yard run #21 had on 3-35 when we had them backed up at the 10 in the second half, I thought the run defense looked good too. Heck, the pass defense was ok other than Preston taking the screen 85 on 2-30. I was especially impressed with the way Alec Lewis played, Manvel didn't seem like they could do anything with him. With Netherly back there I think the offense is going to end up averaging about 500 yards and 40+ once district play starts. I just want to see the defense do it one more time.
  15. As a Crosby fan I want Manvel to win too. I just think without H-Town's version of Kyler Murray Manvel just doesn't have the firepower to win. I think North Shore by at least 21 but I also think they're the best team in Texas regardless of classification.
  16. In the press box? I want to know what you think about Manvel after they play the defending 6A champs.
  17. Thursday in North Shore Just interested to see what people's thoughts are on this one. Manvel beat Crosby 35-21 and North Shore beat Dekaney 56-19. Manvel is ranked #4 in 5A by the AP, North Shore is ranked by #8 in 6A.
  18. Tex, I'm really mad y'all saved them. Your two years in 22-5A caused Crosby not to go 9-10 in bi-district. How poetically ironic it would've been for Vidor to be the only team to beat us with all that tradition over there.
  19. Idk what the transfers names are so I couldn't do any research, hard to tell from the rosters because they're incomplete. He staff tried to let Grace loose, it just wasn't anything shaking against those boys. The reason I'm excited is because even though Manvel knew we couldn't run the ball on them we were stil able to put together some decent offense when we didn't penalize ourselves. I would imagine we run the ball better and Grace gets more work though.
  20. They're probably not going to get to Lamar's level for a while because Lamar has 1000 more kids than them. You remember how Reagan was back then, Yates was considered the third ward school and they were considered the second ward school. Now all those shotgun houses are being replaced by nicer homes and it's turning into yuppie-ville and The Heights is the place to be inside the loop. Crosby is playing them because they're bigger than us and just as fast or faster which is what you see in the playoffs. FB Travis is the largest school in their 6A district so it doesn't matter how they can do Reagan, it's a test for Crosby. The last four years other than Cedar Park, Crosby's worst losses have come to Summer Creek, Manor and Ridge Point which are all 6A now and similar to this Heights team. It's probably going to be a major relief to the kids once they play someone they're bigger and faster than.
  21. Problem is that y'all never shape up. Very comparable to an HISD squad if you ask me. Decent talent, mediocre coaching and long list of excuses about what you could be. You sound exactly like the guys form Westbury I was sitting by last week telling me about their NFL players while they lose to Lee.
  22. Every post you make you show you know nothing outside of GT football. Comparing a 5A team from ten years ago to a current 6A with 1000 more kids is pretty dumb. That's like comparing Madison now to the Madison that Vince Young and Courtney Lewis played for. I know that's all relevant to you since Central hasn't been relevant since.
  23. Yeah, then the talk would've been "Why don't y'all play somebody tough in non-district". He even said something about our scrimmage schedule last year yet Central lost to King the week after we beat them by 40.
  24. He's oblivious to anything that goes on outside of the Triangle.
  25. This is some of what I was talking about with Reagan at the line of scrimmage. #99 looks to be well over 300lbs and they have another DT #62 listed at 6-2/340lbs. Reagan's corners have 32 offers between them but #6 you see in the picture trying to deflect a pass is their best defender, he had 13 sacks in 11 games last year. He's plays OLB and is listed at 236lbs which makes the jump even more impressive. This will be another test for Crosby before we finally start district play next week: [Hidden Content]
