  1. They're named Ned, Reagan, Angleton and Manvel. District champ Ned, 6A runner-up Reagan, quarterfinalist Angleton and three-time consecutive 6A quarterfinalist Manvel. You can't be serious? Unlike you, people around he state don't think Crosby has an issue which is why our ranking didn't change much. Yeah, we have big issues losing by 14 to the #4 team in the state, who has even more kids than Foster right now.
  2. Yeah, runner up to Lamar. Lol, Reagan's corners alone have 32 offers between them and they're not even best players on defense.
  3. My cousin was a high school all-American and started 33 games at Texas, he said the same thing about North Shore's practices. Heck, I thought practice at South Dakota State was easier than Crosby too. Probably five of the twenty-four periods were borderline rest. They gave us water in college practices too. All the good teams work year around. They go straight from football to offseason to 7 on 7 and Summer workouts which begin the week after school gets out and are often paid for by the school. Private trainers are commonplace. Were the kids at Foster working harder than you or did they just have more talent? All good teams expect to win, I know Crosby's kids do and their fans get accused of it all the time.
  4. Yeah, play WOS instead of Manvel or 6A Reagan who was 9-2 last year. We played in the premier 5A game in the state other than maybe Ryan vs Lancaster. Vidor just lost by 34 to a team that's probably going to finish 5th in our district, but I guess when they're the only 22-5A team to beat you in bi-district the last 8 years they're still the most relevant. Be thankful Dayton played over there a couple of years or Vidor would be the only team in the last decade to beat Crosby in a bi-district game, that dates all they way back to when y'all were relevant Soulja.
  5. One thing for sure about a Baytown high school football game . . . parking spots or a place to sit won't be hard to find. Went to the Lee game last week and had 736 seats to myself.
  6. 4th place is going to be the Galveston Ball vs FB Marshall winner, both have some pretty decent talent. TC and Elkins both got worked so really can't tell until they play each other.
  7. PAM would most likely Fort Bend Elkins who didn't look too swell in their opener. They could only see Manvel in the regional finals unless they got the D1 #2 seed out of 22-5A and beat our D1 #1 rep. Most likely Crosby, Humble or New Caney would get Manvel in the second round from this area. If Crosby goes D1 and wins their first round game they for sure get Manvel in the second round.
  8. Santa Fe doesn't really look that impressive at any position, qb has a little moxie though. BH shouldn't have a problem matching up. Here's some of their highlights from their game against LC on their homepage: [Hidden Content]-(santa-fe,tx)/football/home.htm
  9. Hard for me to believe there are 7 teams better than North Shore this year. Maybe Dekaney is flat out awful though, think CCRed and I are probably going to check them out against Manvel Thursday.
  10. Which schools are more set up for future success? Schools making big time investments wth increasing enrollments like most of the state or a school with declining enrollment, sub-par facilities compared to the top teams in the state who pays their coach $80k? WOS wins because of bloodlines, not anything else even though coaching is an important component.
  11. You have include teams with talent though. Last one of those they played they lost by 28. They dwarf the talent level in 4A-D2 though.
  12. That's exactly how I have it right now with the exception of switching Porter and Caney Creek
  13. Yeah, they went to New Caney. Guys probably had 15 transfers in the past 3 or 4 years.
  14. What competent coach couldn't win at WOS, especially with the divisions being split right now? You think it was Thompson leaving that caused WOS to miss the playoffs instead of an enrollment decline before WOS dropped classifications and got to play against teams their size again? I think if I said there's 100 coaches in Texas that could win a state title at WOS the way the UIL is currently constructed, it probably wouldn't be much of an exaggeration.
  15. So you think Ned was going to beat Tompkins by 24, Livingston by 28 or Vidor by 36 Friday night? Only thing we're up in the air about over here is KP being really as bad as they looked. I came to the Butch Saturday afternoon and watched Ozen get roasted by Episcopal, they don't even looked like they practiced this offseason. The BH highlights on Vidor looked ridiculous, BH actually looked fast against them. New Caney could've put 70 on Livingston. Terio Brown had almost 100 yards in the first quarter on Tompkins. Everybody over here looked how we thought they would with the exception of KP. Last four years your district is 4-12 in the playoffs against us so I'm going to keep questioning y'all until you can start to show those non-district blowouts don't mean anything.
  16. I guess you're trying to say they started 0-2 last season and won a playoff game? If you are you're completely off your rocker thinking this team is as good as the Ned team last year. This team isn't even close to as good as the one that lost to 4th place KP the year after you speak of.
  17. Hoping for what? I hope we get to play y'all so we can rest some starters for round two, so I hope like heck y'all get to .500. Y'all talk about how great Neumann is but every good coach I see him go up against kicks his arse. If I'm hoping for anything it's to see Neumann on the other sideline in bi-district. Dayton is about to house-rule you guys but I know y'all really don't try in preseason games.
  18. At least it's only Crosby fans on your thread. Everybody seems to have an opinion on our threads. A Crosby fan not commenting on a Dayton thread is like a PNG fan not commenting on a Ned thread.
  19. Spoken like somebody who hasn't seen this version of Ned. It will be tough for them to even get to .500. Competing for a playoff spot in that district probably mean less than it ever has since 2011 when I got on this board.
  20. Dang, three pages and I still don't see what the problem is? If the field was raggedy it was raggedy, it doesn't have anything to do with being from Barbers Hill. I don't think anybody thought the comment was snobby until the girl's rebuttal which she had every right to make. Fact of the matter is that NONE of our kids in the district play on grass in high school and very few even play on it in middle school. People want it told like it is in other facets of life so I don't see what's wrong with highlighting what he felt was a safety hazard for his students.
  21. Tex, y'all won't get anything out of this game besides some road experience. At the risk of being laughed off the board I won't say it, but it's run across my mind that your game two weeks from now against Splendora might be more competitive score wise. I'm serious, look for Styner to put up his career high this week.
  22. This will be a good litmus test Central. Humble just went into Rhodes Stadium and held Tompkins to 96 yards while racking up almost 400 rushing yards on them. Humble is our version of Central so it will be interesting to see how they perform. Central already has a huge advantage having Tompkins make the two hour trip to the Golden Triangle.
  23. Yeah, accept this year they don't have any talent. Dayton will probably drop 40 or 50 on them Friday and beat them by three or four tds. After losing your two non-district games by 60 or 70 points it's hard to give credence to anything they may do in district play. If they get better it will just bring them up to average.
  24. That's a lot of respect for Crosby for only dropping two spots. I know we only dropped one spot in DC's, interesting to see what the AP thinks later.
  25. Kind of a head scratcher that Humble and Nederland get the same amount of votes. One dominated a 6A holding them to under 100 total yards and one got dominated by a 4A and was held to under 100 yards but ended up with the same amount of votes. Perplexing to say the least.
