  1. 7-6 Manvel, end of first. Crosby snapped the ball over the punters head and Manvel ran it back. Manvel's -O probably has negative yards.
  2. Netherly goes 70 to the house on the first play. 6-0 Crosby
  3. North Shore 56-19 over Spring Dekaney with almost 600 yards of offense. North Shore, Katy, Lamar, CY-Ranch and Pearland all region three 6A-D1. All have been to the title game at least once within the last five years.
  4. I think Crosby is going to have a very hard time running the ball on Manvel. On the flip side if Manvel can't line up and pound it on Crosby I think we have a very good chance to win. Manvel is going to move the ball but I think we have some guys on defense that can make a few splash plays for us. Crosby couldn't figure out RP's front seven and lost, if we figure out Manvel's I think we win.
  5. If Lee's starting qb is healthy I think they'll beat y'all. That's what the initial comment was. I didn't say anything about being a loser. I think Porter will finish 7th so you wouldn't win or lose to the worst team in district.
  6. Estrada didn't even suit up. #12 played qb the whole game and returned punts so I'm sure qb isn't his natural position, he had a solid arm though. They probably would've won by at least two tds if Estrada played qb and the #12 kid got to play his natural position. Kids and fans went bananas after 27 straight L's
  7. I'm not basing it all off that. You lost a lot of offensive production and you don't look like you have much to replace it. Your roster is listed on Maxpreps and it shows y'all are young and small, that's how you look. I think it says a lot you're probably a home underdog to a teams that's 1-31 in its district recently.
  8. Y'all looked average against two weaker 4A's. Think about it, Porter has been the worst team in our district for four consecutive years and y'all are about to lose to them in your home opener tonight. And by the way, Lee's backup qb was 8-14 for 155 yards and no picks out of the slot-t.
  9. Have to go with North Shore over Trinity for 6A-D1. They look repeat ready.
  10. Wait, I say Lee will be improved after being 0 for their last 27 then they come out and beat a 6A the first game of the season. Albeit a bad one but a decent W for them nonetheless. You're response is to tell me Crosby will finish 3rd or 4th in district, then proceed to ask "But what do I know?". Obviously you don't know the meaning of asinine.
  11. They're awful, they just have good athletes and look about like Ridge Point did last year. They've had some solid players come through, their rb is the hurdle champ in that district last year.
  12. Man, just be luck y'all have those weak 5A's in non-district. Otherwise there's a good chance GCM could've ended up with that record.
  13. Not smooth but it was their first game running it and their 6-1/200+lbs qb was hurt. They actually throw it ok out of it when they need to. Not deep and don't have a lot of size but they have 4 or 5 kids that can go. Westbury was huge compared to Lee and Lee held up ok. They only put the ball on the ground one time running the offense which I thought was good for their first time and have some solid receivers. I think they'll be a lot better by game 5 if they can get their qb back. They still suck but I think they'll beat Lumberton, Livingston and probably Ozen. IDK about PNG because Westbury didn't throw it that well.
  14. 14-16 Lee Final Lee gets their first win in over two years. It's comes over a bad 6A but Lee won't see athletes like that in district until they play PAM. I'm so asinine for thinking Lee would improve that Soulja co-signed, but I'm not sure he even knows what an improved football team looks like. Hey BG, this is what I get for researching before I post. Picking 0-20 teams with a backup qbs. I wonder how many other 22-5A teams beat Westbury tonight?
  15. Yeah, he does come for qbs though. McElroy, Alec Morris and Hurts all pretty recent. I saw Deandrew White playing receiver for the 49ers the other day. Texas kids don't go there to play offense much because it's so much different than the spreads we run over here.
  16. So wait, we'll have a qb that will be one of the tops in the state, about six more D1's, will be huge on the LOS with speed to burn. Not to mention what seems to be a constant influx of transfers like kids from Manvel, SC and SA Roosevelt this year alone. Not to mention that jv team already lost to Crosby last year as freshman as well as the year before they were crushed. If the jv group is that good why aren't they on varsity? In the years to come Crosby's enrollment will push towards 1,900-2,000 while Dayton stagnates around 1,500. We already had better athletes and every year we get more to choose from. How do you expect more because you have tradition, y'all were good from 2007-2011? You only got passed the second round twice before that in '98 and '61 and haven't been passed it since then?
  17. There have already been multiple outlets that say even if he's not named the starter that he's expected to be under center by mid-season. I wonder how many non-qbs from Texas actually contribute at 'Bama. The only ones I can think of recently are A-Shawn Robinson from Arlington Heights and Deandrew White from North Shore.
  18. No no no, you have it backwards. The paid writers for these publications like Stepp, Malatesta, Tepper and Padilla call us and ask what we think. Then they go write the stories accordingly. We tell them to use terms like "heavyweights", "powerhouse" and to pick us to win while we interject sentences like "The Cougars had state title aspirations in 2015, but were upset in the area round of the state playoffs after an undefeated regular season." or "Crosby head coach Jeff Riodan and his staff has quickly turned Crosby into one of the premier Class 5A programs in the state." You have to let them school you on here, I'm learning every day.
  19. Yeah, then they even give a warning to watch out for Barbers Hill in the next few years when talking about 5A region three. Maybe they're taking a wait and see approach on Dayton. They even shafted Styner on this list: [Hidden Content]
  20. You'll never get them to realize that losing two FBS backs made a difference in that game. They'll say ". . . but I though you were Crosby". So we put Tre Edwards back there, who never played rb before, and he put 163 yards on Dayton while their big o-line and good rb had 45 yards. The injuries piled up on us last year but around here that's no excuse for only going 11-1.
  21. Lol, I'm a few layers removed from that. Fortunately after leaving Crosby I stayed on a college football team long enough to get a degree so I didn't have to deal with small stuff like that. Now I choose contract companies that our safety people fire for having phones out.
  22. Just for context, PAM was 2-4 in district play last year which included a state champion. Georgetown was also 2-4 in 6A district play before they dropped down and smoked Ned on the way to the title game.
  23. Me neither. I usually just decide what fire watch/hole watch company gets to come into the facility.
