  1. None of that surprised me. BH scored 21 regulation points, I never expected Crosby to shut them out. Defense gave up the same amount to Baytown Lee in regulation. Our offense just executed so poorly and left so many plays on the field that we cost them the game. Coach Poth had a hell of a night last night but if the opposing QB throws three picks and still outplays the one on your team, well thats going to be an issue.
  2. I’m not sure yet? We usually fish about a mile west of where 87 turns onto the peninsula. I’ll hit you up when we get down there though.
  3. Yeah, we’ve been killing the reds and specs in the surf out there. Lol, little 14 said he needed to “get his mind off things”.
  4. I was dead on. We picked the QB off three times and should’ve been 4 if not for that phantom defensive holding way on the opposite side of the field on that first pick that would had us 1st and goal early in the first quarter. That first non-pick was a break on the ball intended for Williams. We just gave up 21 regulation points for the 3rd straight week and still lost last night. Smh, I’m going fishing
  5. I had 17 text messages from BH parents last night after the game. I made some very low brow comments to some of them. The ones I made it to read this board so I would like to apologize to them, I was very frustrated. Prior to the season in the parent meeting Coach P basically asked us to stay off social media after losses so I’ll be surf fishing for redfish the rest of the weekend✌🏾
  6. We’ve won way to many game for me to duck anybody. I man enough to let guys get their shot in, the way I talk on here I fully expect it. This is lied rosy district loss since Nederland in ‘20 and that got things turned around for us. Maybe this one will too🤞🏾
  7. Don’t answer that dude. He’s from Vidor, that’s kind of all that needs to be said. You notice I just like all his post and tell him thanks now.
  8. That’s the bad part. We picked off the QB multiple times just like I said we would and still lost. The way we got screwed on penalties tonight was awful as usual but we know that’s going to happen. We still need to execute. Can’t drop TDs, miss wide open guys and then compound it with penalties. Very good night for BH, they did exactly what they should’ve done to Crosby tonight.
  9. Yep, was tough to come to that realization but it is what it is this year. Offensive execution has been suspect all year. Up 21-14 at midfield with 3mins left and we still manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory even after how bad we played? Yeah, we’ll be shopping on Black Friday this year. Great win by BH. QB got destroyed all night and still came up with enough plays to get the win. Crosby’s defense actually played very well tonight. Offense was just so pitiful we couldn’t help them out. We probably had close to 100 yards in penalties tonight but I bet 70 were offensive. That holding/block in the back when we where going to have it 1st and goal from the 2 yard line and a chance to go up 14 in the 4th quarter was crucial. We ended up with 0 points because we don’t have a kicker this year. At least I’ll have those November weekends off during flounder season🤷🏾‍♂️
  10. No excuses. Y’all sold out to stop him and did, played with 8 in the box all night and we dropped tds and missed open receivers. Absolute garbage from Crosby offense tonight. I would hold off on all that with your b-team kid though.
  11. No excuses. Crosby looked like trash tonight
  12. Looks like it’s going to be a first round exit for Crosby this year, if we even make the playoffs. Poor offensive play against Lee last week and even worse offensive ply this week with penalties, dropped tds and missed wide open receivers. Going to be a long year for Crosby
  13. Those two wins and OT may have been BH’s glory years though. We have some horses coming. Coach P will finally get the type talent Coach Rio had.
  14. Is today homecoming for BH?
  15. I think that puts y’all pretty close to 6A then? Your sophomore class of 558 will be your junior class at the next realignment. Y’all grew about 10% last enrollment with that 558 as your freshman number. Using that same assumption that puts your 8th grade class, which will be counted as freshman next year, around 585-ish. 558(jr. class/current sophomores) + 570?(so. class/current freshmen) + 585(fr. class/current 8th) + current jr. class = ? for BH enrollment for the 2024 realignment. I could be undershooting doing the math that way too.
  16. That should be kind of concerning because y’all used to smash us on the lower levels. JV squeaked by with a one point win while two of the best ‘25 kids in Texas at their positions are on varsity. I didn’t see any impact sophomores on BH’s varsity when I was comparing film to the roster this week. Not saying JV scores are insignificant but your varsity studs usually never play JV. Maybe BH beats Crosby’s freshman A team of Davis plays but that would require the QB to be able to get it to him. I will say that BH either has some large enrollment lower classes or very high participation rates. BH is huge size wise in the lower classes but I think they’re going to take a step back skill wise for two or three years after that ‘24 class graduates. Kids can always develop though. BH already looks like a 6A school size and numbers wise in that freshman class. You can always tell the difference in classes at the good schools because of how many big guys they have and BH has a lot more big guys than Crosby down there. Crosby still has more general talent but size matters.
  17. Definitely did. We’re over here broke and y’all still can’t beat us.
  18. .
  19. That’s because BH’s B-team QB is way better then their A-team QB. He’s their whole team. I was asking his dad in the stands why he’s not on A-team? Come to find out I work with both freshman QB’s dads and I’ll leave it at that.
  20. How we ever win in Barbers Hill is beyond me. Crosby freshman A probably had 15 penalties for 140 yards to BH’s two penalties for 10 yards. It was so bad the BH fans were saying “I hope we have the same refs tomorrow”, smh. Two ds called back. BH gets gifted a first down on roughing the passer because we hit him to hard, smh. Man it’s ridiculous.
  21. I think BH is going to need to be up around 3,200 to really compete in 6A in the boys sports and Crosby needs to be somewhere around 2,800 before they can. If you notice, CEK didn't really get good when they moved up until they reached right around the 3k enrollment mark.
  22. I would be surprised if they couldn't with some of the stories those boys come up with. We were out there on Bolivar tattooing the redfish in the surf Saturday night and 14.4 links up with about a 40" bull. He landed him, took some pics and released him. He goes back to the cooler to get a shrimp comes back with is $300 Lews set up broken in half and told me the fish did it, smh.
  23. Depending on how you want to look at it BH is either in a better or worse situation than Crosby. Yes, their increasing growth rate will naturally bring them more talent. On the other hand if that rate continues to increase it's going to get BH to 6A faster than they're probably ready for in the boys sports. The 5A-D1 cap is only 2,222 right now. Crosby will be over 2,100 at the next realignment and BH should be 100+ students larger than Crosby. BH could potentially go 6A at the next realignment without an increase in the enrollment cap, both Crosby and BH will be 6A by the '26 realignment though.
  24. So what you're highlighting is that BH lost to Crosby in every major boys sport? We already knew that. Crosby is also a couple of years removed from a 4x100 boys state championship, something BH will never ever sniff.
  25. We'll see, they lost to King and FB Marshall and killed Lee. We don't have a stud QB in the freshman class but 14.4 has a little cousin toting it out of the backfield. He's probably the best raw athlete in the entire family.
