After watching the film from the BH vs Sterling game last week I feel very confident that the Crosby ball carriers will have a good day running the ball. BH's dbs are kind of small and slow so they play a lot of off coverage even on short passing downs. I think the Crosby staff will be able to exploit that with the screen game. Roberson had 95 receiving yards and 2 tds in his first game back and I expect him to have an even bigger night on BH if they play with the single high safety like they did Sterling. BH does have two vey solid d-linemen but I think the o-line will perform well after having already played six P5 defensive linemen on the schedule. On defense as long as we don't get beat deep I don't see how BH scores a lot of points? I think they're running the quick passing game because they don't think their o-line can hold up? Very first offensive play for BH against Sterling the QB threw what would've been a pick six against Crosby's dbs when the Sterling defender just squatted on a hitch. Both of BH's running backs are small, they're not burners and don't run with a bunch of wiggle which is a good thing for the Crosby defenders trying to tackle them. QB won't kill us with his feet like Holdren did either. He escaped the pocket one time on Sterling and had a huge chunk play if he cuts it up but chose to avoid the contact and ran out of bounds. I believe we're getting one of our stud linebackers back this week? Crosby is going to blitz and BH's qb is going to have to show he can handle/escape pressure or he's going to get sacked half a dozen times and probably throw some picks trying to rush the ball out. BH's personnel looked physically imposing on film last year. This year they don't. If Crosby doesn't turn the ball over or have a bunch on penalties I expect us to have a good night against this version of BH.

Imagine fixing your mouth to say that when BH has all the benefits and still can't win. Dude is dealing with things like players on his team being killed during the season, kids "acting a fool" is just something he's got to deal with more than other coaches. You're talking about no discipline but in the recent games we've played BH has far more personal fouls than FBM. Either way, I'd rather my son play for a guy who wants to help him vs a guy who tells a recruiter to pull a scholarship offer from a kid "because he isn't going anywhere" and give it to Herndon.

Correct but it doesn't even matter when they happened. Like Coach P said, you're only allowed to put 11 out there. We put our 11 out there and King handed them back to us. What did happen was that we got the opportunity to develop some. Larkin probably wasn't going to start and now he's probably leading the district in ints. Those backup linemen and linebackers we've been playing have looked awful solid since the King game when most of them didn't even know they would be starting that week.

So will getting excited about beating teams that lose to Dayton

Not trying to convince anybody we're going to stroll through the 5A-D1 playoffs at all, this is way more difficult. I'm just letting you know we're going to stroll through y'all. Last year's FB Marshall team wouldn't have beat Taylor by 47 points so y'all beating them really means nothing at all. They would just throw the ball laterally and run right by your poor tackling defenders this year. Y'all can't convince anybody of anything because y'all haven't done anything and it's highly unlikely that y'all will. BH has a mental complex when it comes to Crosby. They're soft and fold under pressure just like they did in a crucial situation last year. Other times we just flat out destroy y'all but every now and then our QB tears an ACL or we overspend. If that wasn't the case y'all would have a 12 year losing streak against Crosby instead of being 2-10. *PS - We only beat PAM by 15 last year

So you're saying we looked good in our 1-2 start last year? Pretty hysterical considering you were one of the main ones on here with the "Crosby definitely isn't what they were last year" comments. Crosby has played nearly identical the first three games last year as we did this one. The Crosby vs Carthage score is nearly identical to the Crosby vs FB Marshall score and the Crosby vs Lee score is nearly identical to the Crosby PAM score. The only difference is that we didn't have anybody on the schedule with the personnel CE King has in the trenches. Maybe you've seen improvement but you still haven't beat a team with a winning record this year yet.

Yeah, go tell James Williams the reason Crosby keeps beating him is because we're lucky. Last time they're coming off a 49-0 win over Nederland and this time they go hammer Alief Taylor 47-0 the week after. Meanwhile BH gets destroyed by Mag. West in the opener doesn't even get in the endzone until they pull their starters in the 4th quarter and their fans have the nerve to critique us with the same record vs a weaker schedule. All those leaks at Enterprise have really effected their thinking.

Crosby outscored BH by something like 23 points in the second half and OT last year. Y'all always blow games, that's why y'all are BH. We usually always win these "lucky" games which is why we're Crosby. Yep, got it handed to us by CE King then turned around and got the beat the highest ranked team of anybody in this coverage area. King just destroyed Pearland 45-7 too, btw. I said at the beginning of the season that "At some point this year Crosby is going to be very good. When that will be and if it'll be good enough are the only questions?". That's verbatim what I said. We don't need people to show us how to respond to adversity. Coach P literally said he was playing for OT in the FBM games because of how many time we've had to respond to adversity the last couple years and how well we've answered. Yes, we should've blow Lee out. We should've blown a .500 BH team out last year too but often times teams have their best night against Crosby. Before the season Coach P said he wanted Crosby to get back to being a more physical offense. Our style of play this year is going to be to pound teams into submission with the running game. We haven't even been able to truly do that yet because one of the best backs in the state in his class has been hurt all year. Think about it, the only reason BH was in the game last year is because they could drop back and throw bombs to Herndon which Holdren created additional opportunities to do by escaping pressure with his legs. Well, your current QB has 54 rushing yards through 3 games, Herndon is done for the year and the next best player y'all have is basically a yard ornament. I think BH is going to be in a bunch of 3rd and longs without the ability to run the ball and will need a bunch of big plays to keep Crosby from blowing them out.

Nah we’re good. We slept walked most of the game last year and still beat y’all. Y’all aren’t as good this year either. We gave up 21 to FB Marshall and only would’ve given up 7 to Lee had we not turned it over twice inside our own 35 yard line. We’re out crying about anything, I guess you didn’t hear what Coach P said about us missing guys and playing through it. Crosby wears teams down. If you think all you have to do is stop us in the first quarter then this is probably what’s going to happen to y’all in the 4th quarter:

The difference between Crosby and BH is that we can sleepwalk through a contest and still win by 20 like we did Friday night. Y’all can’t as evident by your .500 record last year. Y’all won’t be able to run the ball on us and outside of the freshman y’all don’t have any plus receivers with Dixon pretty much factorless. BH doesn’t have a Duncan like Lee did that can escape the pressure Crosby is going to bring. The routes BH throws to sink and dunk down the field are very conducive to interceptions from Crosby’s ball-hawking secondary. I think the two BH running backs are soft and won’t want to run it against Crosby all night. BH was very good when they played well last year because of their offensive line, they’re not at that level up front this year. On the defensive side of things, BH tackled very poorly in space against Montgomery. When their QB and RB had 1v1 situations on the edges they usually best the BH defenders for chunk plays. Myles is a BH killer when he pulls it down and Crosby’s starting RB ran for 184 yards on Lee. It hasn’t necessarily shown but I think the 8 starters y’all lost on defense are going to hurt a lot more than the 7 starters y’all lost on offense and Crosby is going to be the first team to espouse that. *On a side note FB Marshall bounced back with a 47-0 win over 6A Alief Taylor

I think @panamamyers really knows his stuff. He post stuff only real THSF guys would post. What his obsession is with Crosby results is a head scratcher to me though? I can tell from his posts he’s a semi-Baytown guy but sometimes he goes off the deep end concerning Crosby for whatever reason?

We got one of the receivers back and he had almost 100 receiving yards and two tds in the first half tonight.

Noticed he was quick to jump on here after the King game but didn’t see squat from him after the FB Marshall game? Crosby wins by “only 20” and he’s showed up all of a sudden again. @panamamyers can’t tell you what the Crosby vs BH score will be but he’ll be on here during and after the game trying to convince everybody that he had it figured out long before kickoff. Like I said to the Longview guy, every game Crosby plays you come up with a “definitive”. It’s getting old. Lol, but Myles dropping the ball on a wide open screen for a turnover and then scoring on 4th and 11 or Wright muffing a punt and them scoring off T/O wasn’t what kept them in it? GTHOH dude. Lee was lucky to keep it within 20. This is a 55-14 game 8/10 nights. I’m sitting here talking to players as they leave the locker room. Freshman A running back #20 comes from the same line. If he can keep it together he’s probably going to be better than older cousin. There’s some very impressive kids in general in that freshman class though.

As far as the topic being about the game, yes. There was an article posted in the 4th largest city in the United States largest newspaper about PNG today. Didn’t say anything at all about the kids or community, I’m kind of actually pulling for PNG since we don’t have to play them anymore. I just responded to the “woke” comment with what’s probably the ... point of view which the article was about. Y’all can get back to it though👋🏾

I think there's a good chance Lancaster gets Longview this year. I watched both of LV's games with McKinney Boyd and Marshall and Lancaster looks better on the hoof and also faster. LV's QB still forces it to Hale and I think they're running game with Tatum is containable. They're probably smaller than FB Marshall on the defensive line and while they're dbs are highly rated it seems like there's still a good amount of space for receivers to make plays in the secondary if there's a competent QB that can get it to them. On the flip side though, their collection of talent is so great that it really doesn't matter what they have going on right now.

Interesting take. Nearly 55 million Native Americans were killed throughout the Americas. PNG literally plays in a stadium whose nickname is the result of that. PNG built an entire culture around a sect of people who wouldn't have even been able to go to their school when they chose that mascot. Maybe "American Indians" just want to "take their heritage back", same as the people who would refer to them as "woke" want to do in the rest of the US. Not that I personally care one way or the other, I just follow the Chronicle and it came across my timeline. Something I thought was interesting.
