Was looking through some stats and saw Crosby has three players with exactly 16 scrimmage tds after yesterday. Myles has a 30/2 TD-INT ratio. It’s a testament to the coaching staff that Crosby is able to put up similar offensive number that we did under Riordan without near the “flash”.

Quincy Jones had 22 carries for 198 yards and 5tds against Marshall. If the offensive line is going to move furniture like that mixed with Myles level of decision making yesterday then yeah, you might be right? Coach P out here looking like Bill Snyder with a passing game.

That’s why I think those DFW districts are so good, they have to beat each other just to be relevant. Well, when the teams you have to beat to be relevant are winning titles/making deep runs then your program automatically has to improve or else. Look at what North Shore has done for 21-6A.

Y’all have an absolute murder’s row to get to the title game. The semis will be a relief if y’all make it. I think y’all’s toughest test until the title game is this week against SOC, I’m just not super high on Lovejoy this year. I’ve been talking about it in other posts above but the reason Aledo is so dominant in our class is because they are so dominant at the LOS. Of course y’all are the heavy favorite but SOC looks like they may have the big boys up front to allow their offense to be a factor? QB play is the best I’ve seen from them. Maybe their defense is just good enough this year to take advantage of an Aledo offense that maybe not as potent as last year? Y’all will probably still win by 30 but man SOC looks awful good this year.

#3, #9 and #88 are all legit. They just don’t have anybody to get them the ball. They look like Branch playing at GCM. #91 was the best DT I’ve seen Crosby line up against all year outside of that kid from Manvel committed to Purdue. They just had nothing else on either line of scrimmage though. I’ve been geeking out and watching all our district’s playoff games from this week. It’s amazing how good our entire district is in general at the LOS. TC is the worst of all our playoff teams in that regard and they’re the only team that got blown out. PNG is considered a finesse team in our district but boy, that’s the last thing I would call them against Montgomery. who was supposed to be the bigger and more physical team.

Well, Crosby is coming in riding a ten game winning streak for only the second time in school history. This will probably be the toughest matchup Crosby has had since Manvel so Code Red needs to be on point Black Friday. If Crosby can bring the defense down HWY 290 there’s a good chance we’re playing in December again.

I thought there was a chance this game could go the route of the Ned game this year. You know the playoffs are about matchups and Marshall plays slow like Ned does which frustrates Crosby at times. We missed a couple easy tds on our first two drives that game and it made the game a lot closer than it should’ve been. That got compounded because of the limited possessions against against Ned’s slow play. We play like we did today though and we might get to run it back with those boys off the west side of Ft. Worth. Marshall would have the second worst offense in our district and probably be battling Dayton for 7th place though. Marshall being able to finish a clean second in that district is the reason I’m picking PNG over TH.

21-6A gets all 4 teams through to the regional semis. May have been the best 6A district in the state this year.

Lol, I sat at the game quiet the whole time tonight. #26 runs to the sideline while PNG was trying to run out the clock at the end of the game and I stand up and yell “Slide!”. Forgot where I was at for a second🤣

That’s a tough one for BH to lose. Little better clock management at the end the they may win that one.

Cropped made some great throws. Especially some of those rollout throws he made across his body back over the middle. Biggest reason PNG won the game tonight was Montgomery’s inability to check Prosperie. I thought he was PNG’s best player when we played y’all and he had an all-state level performance tonight. Crippen played a great game and his numbers will reflect that but a couple of those deep balls that looked like dimes were really because #18 is out there playing them perfectly. Kid was sick tonight, those are the type individual performance you need to push you through sometime. Now PNG gets about a favorable matchup as you can in the third round.

PNG swallows probably 30 carries for 225 yards and at least 4tds from Jalen Washington and still gets the win. Excellent offensive execution from PNG tonight, especially on those crucial third downs. Hopefully Trahan can go next week.

Think I’m going to come watch this one. Long ride to Cypress to back door and have to go to Lufkin tomorrow. Wouldn’t be surprised to see PNG win this one by double digits, something like 45-35. Good luck Indians

NFHS is the worst thing that ever happened to high school football degenerate like me. I literally watch 10+ hours of games/film per week on there. Hopefully watch/re-watch Crosby’s football AND basketball team make a run to the title game.

Just interesting y’all are going back and forth for 4th and 5th after starting 1-2 with one of those being a 46 point blowout? I’ll take your word for it though. We’ve been ranked in the top 5 a few times since ‘14 too, just makes for a target. Thanks for cheering for us but I’m sure half the state was cheering for the underdog to stop Aledo from winning their 10th title. Crosby fans were like this when we weren’t even good so nothing has gone to our heads, we just don’t thing Marshall is very good considering what we’ve lined up against on our schedule.

FBM got beat by the 4th seed from our district. TC held that team to 7 a couple weeks ago. You don’t get a bunch of easy stuff against TC’s defense but they probably have the worst offense of the four playoff teams from our district. That’s why I think this one will be relatively low scoring. If somebody made me pick a team if would probably be TH though.

I’m not at all saying FB Marshall wasn’t good. I still don’t think Marshall was right though, you don’t not play for a month and just hop back in there. Something just doesn’t seem right about that whole situation? You can look at my posts from the beginning of the year talking about the subject as to why I said they weren’t as good as last year though. Based on film I thought BH was better at the line of scrimmage than they were and BH dominated them there. You can watch Coach Williams podcast from today where he talks about it. What I’m saying is that advantage BH had at the line of scrimmage won’t be there this week. That’s probably going to make a huge difference with how BH has to operate. FB Marshall was a finesse team that wants to get in space to use their athletes, Consol. is going to try to run it straight at you with their big o-line. They have a better rb than you just faced with FBM and a receiver that’s probably the fastest I’ve seen on film all year. If their qb doesn’t get hurt they probably beat Montgomery and are ranked in the top 10 themselves. Playoffs games are about matchups and I think this is a tougher one for BH. That central Texas style of grind-you-down play mixed with the personnel they put on the field has been tough for our district to deal with in general though, only team I can remember Crosby beating is Brenham.

That’s crazy y’all won that many consecutive district games but only won three playoff games in that same span. Bodes well for us. Y’all weren’t top 5 in 2018 either, y’all lost in the third round to a team that didn’t even win the region. We can’t rest starters because a bunch of them only played a quarter and a half last week, they need to be sharp when we face a good team like Barbers Hill or Consol. Resting starters too much can come back to bite you like it did FB Marshall last week. Nobody said “no talent”, I said the lager Golden Triangle and East Texas schools have less talent than they did 15-20 years ago because of population shifts. Glad y’all had a great season but y’all will probably be shooting free throws next week.

FBM was ranked #2 but that wasn’t your typical #2 ranked FBM team, especially after the Chris Marshall issue which is why I thought BH could beat them. I think it’s going to feel much more like you’re playing a state ranked opponent this week though. Consol. is big, physical and has very good team speed. Fedora has a couple state titles so you know what’s on their sideline too. The Tigers don’t have what we would called a high-powered offense over here but it’s extremely consistent and their defense probably matches up better with BH than the TC squad that just held them to 7. BH gets a huge stroke of fortune in the fact that Consol.’s starting qb is out for the season and they’re rolling with a freshman who should be in over his head against the level of competition BH is capable of playing at. The issue I see is that BH basically put the blueprint of how they have to play Consol. on film last week. Given a week of preparation I don’t think Coach Fedora is going to allow BH’s o-line to dominate like it did last week. It’s going to be interesting to see what their second act is?

Y’all definitely won’t be making it to the title game. According to BigDog nobody in this district is making it past the third round. He was pretty spot on in his assessment last year when three consecutive weeks he predicted that Crosby wouldn’t make it out of the 2nd, 3rd or 4th rounds and that we were average.
