  1. I said 10 years, as in ‘11-‘20 which is where he’s 2-4, officially 1-5. I think you have to classify both ‘13 and ‘20 as blowouts. His first two wins against Crosby his first two years as PNG’s coach were against Flannigan who was not a good coach at Crosby and was fired a year later. Flannigan missed the playoffs his first year and then went six straight but was still fired at the end of the ‘11 season. What he did just didn’t work here. That’s why we’ve looked different under the last two coaches. You can say the same for BH letting Gage go now. What I’m saying is BF doesn’t get RJ’s, that’s why I point to him as a singularity at PNG. Crosby coaches get the Walter-type kids. Riggs was good but he was not a better receiver than Rose, he just got the benefit of playing with RJ who made you keep 8 in the box to stop him from running. Again, he was a very good high school player. You talk about Walter’s game against y’all like it was better than Williams’ 300+ and 5td performance or Howard throwing for over 300 and 4tds the same game. You forgot that though because of the 10tds RJ put up. I didn’t go all the way back through the stats but Crosby has probably has close to nine 1,000 yards rushers since the Twins graduated. Our coaches get a lot of explosive players so the Twins weren’t an anomaly at Crosby. RJ was for BF and to his credit he took advantage. They were his three best years, we never made it out of the second round with the Twins though. Point I’m trying to make was theorized by Crosby in ‘11 and verified by both Crosby and BH with their recent play under their new coaches comparable to where it was. Undoubtedly BF is a great person and sometime that’s enough.
  2. I just went back ten years like I mentioned in my OP. BF is 2-4 against Crosby and both wins were with RJ which was my point. Not just against Crosby but in general. One PNG win he accounted for all 10 tds and the other game in ‘18 was when he threw a td at the end after doing some type of Houdini scramble. If you look at BF’s playoff history over the last ten years is mostly just RJ. I think his only first round win without him in that period is the shootout y’all had with Dayton in ‘15. I think y’all won when Dayton went for two at the end of the game? I saw y’alls second round game that year when Angleton ran two different running plays and Billy Foster put up like 325 and 5tds as a sophomore in a blowout. I think BF is good coach but IDK if I would say he’s the best fit for PNG’s personnel. Seems like his style of coaching is still more geared to what he was working with at Odessa Permian vs what he has on an average basis now. First couple of years were solid but once everybody sees it and adjust he needs RJ.
  3. Texas City isn't very good on either line of scrimmage. They have some decent skill pieces, especially on the defensive side, but if they can't run the ball effectively they're not going to score much. That may not mean anything because Nederland doesn't look at that great on the defensive line but if Ned can get to 31 points I think they probably win this one.
  4. Right at 6', outstretched arm would put him over 8' though. Have to throw in some additional length for the ball too though as you can see it's past his fingertips. Again, you're talking about the knee from that angle when the ref made the call for the ball actually breaking the plane on the dive while he was in the air. From where he was on the pic I posted to where he was from the angle you're using he would have to had been running forward, dove forward, BH player pushed him forward but would've somehow had to have gone backwards? The ball didn't barely hit the pylon either, the whole ball was over by the time his knee hit which means the plane was broken earlier.
  5. The ball was on the two yardline for the conversion, why would the sideline cameraman be 50 yards away on the other side of the coaches and players who could ruin their shot? The other pic is closer to 50 yards away though. Notice in the pic I posted that you don't even see the cameraman who took the shot you're talking about. That person was the goalposts cameraman in the back of the endzone in the middle of the field, meaning at the bare minimum they're 37 yards away, that's why that shot looks blurry and the one I posted looks like it's in HD. Ref didn't make the call off the pylon/knee, he made it because the ball crossed the goal line prior to that. Y'all have a great game too though. The whole district will be watching to see what level y'all play at when you're not lined up across from those red and white jerseys.
  6. Lol, half second too soon? The nose of the ball is already across the goal line in the pic I posted. Conversion is good right there, knee can land wherever he pleases. You can zoom in see the shadow of the ball. Idk why y’all continue to use the shot from the back of the end zone by the goalpost?
  7. BH is very capable of coming in a BH’ing the game up considering they’ve collapsed in 40% of their games this year. I’ve watched a couple PNG games this year though and they just aren’t very good right now. I know they got 42 on Dayton but this is one of the weaker PNG offenses I’ve seen. Again, as has been demonstrated multiple times the past couple of years BH isn’t very good at closing teams out but if they can keep that same energy from last week I don’t think PNG can stay within 14+ points of the Eagles. In a general sense I think BH is a little better than last year and PNG is a little worse which is the main reason I think BH wins comfortably.
  8. Considering our schedule, that was the first game Crosby had given up over 28 offensive points. I wouldn’t take me game like that as gospel. Otherwise I would be on here talking about how Santa Fe held Nederland to less than y’all did.
  9. For our “bad call” BH brethren from last week. Wasn’t even questionable. Try not to collapse anymore this year and y’all might get another chance the first week of December after we clean out our side of the bracket.
  10. That's an odd statement considering PNG hasn't shown anything all year. The defensive statement is even more odd considering PNG just gave up 35 to Dayton who scored 0 on Crosby's defensive starters the week before. Plus, you can look back at the last decade under BF and see that he really can't do anything with PNG's personnel unless he has RJ to cover up the warts so IDK about "anything" really being possible?
  11. Lol, I know you don’t think PAM was their measuring stick? In all actuality the team that has won or tied for the DC six of the last eight years IS the measuring stick in a normal year. What else would they use before the playoffs? I know that L was painful but don’t worry, we’ll probably in the same district soon and will be handing y’all a lot more of them. Lol, y’all are just Beaumont Ozen with better athletes. Congrats to PAM on a great 9-2 year though. As far as the statement about them being able to reach the 3rd or 4th round, I agree and I actually have insight because I watched us beat most of the teams it will take to get there this year.
  12. To be fair you can do a lot on 43 acres in Barrett Station. Nothing like drinking cold beer and sighting in the AR during the kid’s birthday party.
  13. True, but the combined scores in their last four games are 168-10 meaning they've dispatched lesser competition the way you would expect from a good team. Clear Brook has better personnel than what they'll see from most of our district and TC was able to squeak by them. I know PNG likes tradition, TC has the most recent state championship tradition with their titles in 1997 and 1999.
  14. Couldn't have been, Nederland wasn't ranked #7 at the midway point in the season last year.
  15. Yep, we could but hopefully Kingwood Park and Santa Fe take it easy on us.
  16. The 4th place team in our district has been getting in at 4-3 in recent years. They better win this on and I’ll give them KP in the season finale. That would leave them needed to go 2-1 against a combination of Nederland, TC and BH. Losing to PNG this week means that’s not probable but it’s more than doable. Good luck, last couple years Dayton has already been out of it by now.
  17. Everybody is always talking about how they want to play in a tough district so that they’re battle tested for the playoffs . . . Until they’re actually in one. Now you have a team ranked 7th in the state at the midway point in the season in danger of finishing in 4th place with a couple losses, which probably includes a first round exit against FBM, or possibly missing the playoffs all together. Nederland is probably for sure in in at least the three spot but these are possibilities. Kind of have to tip the cap to the district this year. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Dayton ruin someone’s year.
  18. Nah, we’ll leave y’all alone. Y’all went borderline Vidor on us though. We’ve lost plenty heartbreakers so I know it sucks. One thing I would point out to the BH faithful that some of us other fan bases have figured out though; if y’all think you’re good then act like you’re good. Meaning when you lose games it’s because YOU lost, not I because the other teams should have. When Crosby started to get good again I had about a 4/5 year struggle with this until I saw us lose to Manor in 2012 with the Twins. Then I had an epiphany and the collapse the next year against Elgin was easier to understand. I’m hoping we get that regional final matchup at Stallworth we never got with Dayton. All y’all have to do is play like y’all did Friday night for the rest of the season.
  19. I can verify that two BH fans in my department did not show up for work today. They may or may not have been scheduled off days but I’m rolling with the optics on this one. First person in the office this morning was a Baytown Sterling fan explaining to me why we should’ve lost. Instead of engaging I took the low road and said, “Man, it must suck to have to watch us while your team plays.” I left it at that though, vender had dropped off ALL the breakfast tacos in his office.
  20. Lol, I bet we win by more than 14 points and won't have to put the starters back in to finish them off. This should be a nice prep game for TC who comes to town in two weeks.
  21. It doesn't matter if you were running it at that particular time, it was early enough in the game that Crosby still had to play the pass. When BH had to run it to seal the game, which they could've done on two different occasions, they couldn't and lost because of it. BH knew Crosby was throwing on basically every play at the end of the game and Kirkwood still abused BH's entire secondary on our last three drives. One team won because of it and one team is one here talking about their offensive stat lines after giving up 53 in a loss on their home field.
  22. BH got the ball twice in the third and scored 13 points, fumbled and punted on their drives in the 4th quarter. Crosby still had to play the pass earlier in the half and that allowed BH some success in the run game in the third quarter, they didn't have much success running it in the 4th when Crosby knew they were trying to run the clock though. I'm not advocating you run the ball, I'm advocating you score and put the game away. I can show you where Holdren looked 81's way and pulled it down more than once in the second half and scrambled which was really BH's best plays all night. Maybe your coach doesn't understand yet that 15 points isn't a big enough lead on Crosby, he's not playing Leander anymore.
  23. It won't let me post mine, says the file it too big. You have a still, I have multiple clips.
  24. I'm not sure the loser of the TC vs Nederland game gets in? I can see a scenario this year where we have three two loss teams or maybe even two three loss teams.
  25. Again, this was your typical "Crosby is average" or "Crosby isn't that good" game because somebody beats us or almost does. After Crosby has these games they usually start hammering people while the other team usually goes back to playing they way they were. We'll see what happens here? It's a different story when you get every team's best shot every week vs just having to muster it up once to play a big game. Proud of our kids for finishing they way they did.
