  1. Third string track star running back with the kill shot.
  2. Y’all are 0-4, you haven’t done it all year.
  3. I agree, question is can Dayton keep Crosby from scoring 60 for the second year in a row? Backup is holding his own in there.
  4. Dayton goes up 13-0, Crosby finishes the half on a 35-7 run. Defense usually settles in in the second half and offense starts leaning on people with the run game.
  5. Even if Crosby mutilates Dayton for a second consecutive year there will be adjustments to be made after the game. Unlike Dayton we don’t do the same thing game after game hoping for different results, play a couple of good quarters, and think the season is turning around. Crosby is 8-2 in first round games the last decade, I would take that for another decade. I’m not anymore worried about Dayton than Santa Fe or Lee, I don’t understand what I’m not answering?
  6. Why did you decide to wait until you were 0-4 to bounce back? Was Barbers Hill too tough of an out? I don’t think you’re bouncing back until you play Lee.
  7. Barbers Hill is finesse like Dayton. When you’re up big and can’t consistently run the ball or choose not to you end up sometimes letting the other team back in it. Crosby has already rushed for 1,351 yards, and has an even better pass rush than BH who sacked Dayton’s qb numerous times.
  8. . . . and they say I’m delusional? Dayton hasn’t scored over 28 points all season and haven’t held anybody to under 31 points besides Galena Park.
  9. You have to make adjustments, just like Dayton used to at this time of the season during the Stewart years. Every game Crosby plays is pretty much the other team’s Super Bowl. It’s hard to continue to beat teams when everybody circles you on their schedule. I hope the Broncos don’t disappoint either, I want to see Crosby convincingly put away a team playing well. Crosby is ranked where the people that rank teams feel we should be. Unlike yours, our kids have actually gone out and won every game despite some adverse conditions.
  10. Defensive "adjustments" were made this week, new players at new/old positions. Looking at the scouting report there's no reason our starting defense should give up 27 points to Dayton. Crosby is going to eventually have to put a no-doubter together and this is the perfect team to get right on before PNG comes to town next week.
  11. Judging from some of the things that have gone on at practice so far I doubt Crosby will be distracted. We're 4-0 but NOBODY is patting themselves on that back after those last couple of performances. Dayton probably gets a little help this week if the staff doesn't let Howard. Hopefully Crosby goes to the power run game early and we start beating people into submission in the first half versus waiting until the second half to make these comebacks. Backup qb is getting reps with the 1's so there should be some improvement in play even if Howard doesn't go. Not to mention what Dayton does on the offensive side of the ball is probably the easiest for Crosby to defend in the district other than Lee.
  12. My son told me Jaiden didn't practice yesterday and probably won't play this week. Coach said he doesn't need him against Dayton.

  13. That’s when you get promoted from helper to journeyman and they pull up another single-wide behind the one you’re living in and knock out the wall.
  14. Nah, we all know the biggest rivalry on this board is Vidor vs Nederland. PNG is going to have to be rivals with Santa Fe.
  15. Well, homecoming is here for the Cougars and if things play out on the trend that the season has been going, this one should be over by the time the queen gets crowned but that’s usually not how it works. Dayton received a generational beating in Liberty County last year so I expect the Broncos to come in playing for pride since 0-5 is probably inevitable. Crosby should have the advantage on the sideline and in every position group but Dayton did show sings of life for a couple quarters against BH last week and Crosby seems to have a hard time getting off the bus this year. Still tough to believe this game has lost so much of its luster so quickly.
  16. I’d rather be Crosby finest vs FEMA’s finest. That $2 golf game got the rest of my foursome to cover my round at Cog Hill plus some of my gambling expenses in Indiana last night. I just call it how I see it. Class has to be a relative term to you when shoes are optional and the first thing you see when you come into town is the double-wide display. On a serious note though, I saw the field take out a couple of your players. I hope they’re ok. You’re going to need them against Manvel or Marshall in the first round if y’all make the playoffs.
  17. It’s unusually quiet at the games I’ve been to and the crowd seem to be a little lax in their situational awareness. The people really watching the game are the ones that stand out because it seems like they’re yelling random stuff but it’s becuase BH games seem more like a laid back social gathering and half the people aren’t paying attention to what’s going on on the field. Fans get louder for the band than they do a crucial third down stop or conversion. Sometime the other schools also outdraw them in their own stadium. BH fans need to make it tougher on the opposing teams. KP probably has 250 people at the game, no way you should hear them on BH’s side other than a td or turnover.
  18. I am dontating to the district. I’m buying my old lady a bigger house soon as I get back from playing golf in Chicago which means more tax dollars for the district. You stripped and picked off the backup, Crosby would’ve scored 40+ on Vidor in regulation had Howard been there. Point is that everything went your way, including 100+ yards in penalties and you still lost. I was waiting for Crosby to come back and win, even at 20-0 you were still hoping Vidor would. Lol, donate to our district? I swear to God, no exaggeration that your entire town looks like 3rd ward in southwest Houston. Hell, I was going to donate some food to those people living in that pop-up camper across from the stadium.
  19. Watching BH in person vs KP the week Crosby was off. Yes I’ve seen Nederland play, I watched their whole game against WOS, a lot of plays multiple times. I didn’t say anything about who had what weapons. I haven’t seen United but I have a good idea of what they are. I’m saying under TW that BH probably executes their offense better than all of those schools you listed. Vidor probably has the least talent in the district but they’re a hard out some nights when they’re executing well.
  20. Why would last Friday have done that? Our star qb jumped over a kid’s head on the second drive of the game on a dumb play and hurt himself. The backup came in and put up 42 points while we turned it over at least 4 times and gave up a defensive td because a wet, muddy ball popped out and your player ran it back. You were up 20-0 AND STILL COULDN'T WIN! Everything y’all needed to go right did and you STILL lost. We’ve been down 14-21 points every game we’ve played this year except New Caney. Do you want props because you almost beat the team most everybody over there says hasn’t done anything? What does that say about your program that you’re still wanting credit for a moral victory? The last statement in your post probably won’t age well.
  21. Nederland's defense is good but I think BH has a bit too much on the offensive end. BH’s defense has some shaky aspects to it but Nederland’s offense looks to be pretty mediocre. Only averaging 23 offenseive points per game and around 300 total yards per contest. BH really doesn’t have a home field advantage playing in Eagle Stadium but it’s bwtter than being on the road so I like BH by 3-7 points.
  22. PNG’s loss to Huntsville looks a lot better now that they blew out A&M Con. last night but if you take the whole body of work this season Vidor has been the better team. Gun to head I’m still picking PNG but I think there’s a strong chance mid-county goes 0-2 this week. I’ll take Vidor by a pearl and hope their game can travel.
  23. As long as we’re down by less than 20 at the half we should be ok. Howard should be ready to go to for Dayton. Probably could’ve finished tonight but admirable job by coach Rio and his staff choosing safety over a more certain victory and letting Kobe Coker lead us to a memorable win.
  24. Good game by Vidor’s kids. Everything that could’ve went wrong tonight for Crosby did and we still leave with a W. Shame y’all make them play in this hellhole.
  25. It was OT but they still gave up 51 on defense too. I actually think A&M Con. has looked the best in the region so far but we’ll get a better gauge against Huntsville this week.
