  1. It’s unusually quiet at the games I’ve been to and the crowd seem to be a little lax in their situational awareness. The people really watching the game are the ones that stand out because it seems like they’re yelling random stuff but it’s becuase BH games seem more like a laid back social gathering and half the people aren’t paying attention to what’s going on on the field. Fans get louder for the band than they do a crucial third down stop or conversion. Sometime the other schools also outdraw them in their own stadium. BH fans need to make it tougher on the opposing teams. KP probably has 250 people at the game, no way you should hear them on BH’s side other than a td or turnover.
  2. I am dontating to the district. I’m buying my old lady a bigger house soon as I get back from playing golf in Chicago which means more tax dollars for the district. You stripped and picked off the backup, Crosby would’ve scored 40+ on Vidor in regulation had Howard been there. Point is that everything went your way, including 100+ yards in penalties and you still lost. I was waiting for Crosby to come back and win, even at 20-0 you were still hoping Vidor would. Lol, donate to our district? I swear to God, no exaggeration that your entire town looks like 3rd ward in southwest Houston. Hell, I was going to donate some food to those people living in that pop-up camper across from the stadium.
  3. Watching BH in person vs KP the week Crosby was off. Yes I’ve seen Nederland play, I watched their whole game against WOS, a lot of plays multiple times. I didn’t say anything about who had what weapons. I haven’t seen United but I have a good idea of what they are. I’m saying under TW that BH probably executes their offense better than all of those schools you listed. Vidor probably has the least talent in the district but they’re a hard out some nights when they’re executing well.
  4. Why would last Friday have done that? Our star qb jumped over a kid’s head on the second drive of the game on a dumb play and hurt himself. The backup came in and put up 42 points while we turned it over at least 4 times and gave up a defensive td because a wet, muddy ball popped out and your player ran it back. You were up 20-0 AND STILL COULDN'T WIN! Everything y’all needed to go right did and you STILL lost. We’ve been down 14-21 points every game we’ve played this year except New Caney. Do you want props because you almost beat the team most everybody over there says hasn’t done anything? What does that say about your program that you’re still wanting credit for a moral victory? The last statement in your post probably won’t age well.
  5. Nederland's defense is good but I think BH has a bit too much on the offensive end. BH’s defense has some shaky aspects to it but Nederland’s offense looks to be pretty mediocre. Only averaging 23 offenseive points per game and around 300 total yards per contest. BH really doesn’t have a home field advantage playing in Eagle Stadium but it’s bwtter than being on the road so I like BH by 3-7 points.
  6. PNG’s loss to Huntsville looks a lot better now that they blew out A&M Con. last night but if you take the whole body of work this season Vidor has been the better team. Gun to head I’m still picking PNG but I think there’s a strong chance mid-county goes 0-2 this week. I’ll take Vidor by a pearl and hope their game can travel.
  7. As long as we’re down by less than 20 at the half we should be ok. Howard should be ready to go to for Dayton. Probably could’ve finished tonight but admirable job by coach Rio and his staff choosing safety over a more certain victory and letting Kobe Coker lead us to a memorable win.
  8. Good game by Vidor’s kids. Everything that could’ve went wrong tonight for Crosby did and we still leave with a W. Shame y’all make them play in this hellhole.
  9. It was OT but they still gave up 51 on defense too. I actually think A&M Con. has looked the best in the region so far but we’ll get a better gauge against Huntsville this week.
  10. Dude, we’re $5.9M in the hole and not a sane coach without ties to Nederland’s community would choose to coach there over Crosby. I don’t want to go backwards to being the school he wouldn’t go to. There are literally hundreds of threads on this board, please find how many I “inject my .02” into? Again, speaking in hyperbole and contorting my word to fit a false narrative. When have I “talked down” to some team and not referenced data to show what I was implying? What’s wrong with predicting PNG will lose to a 5th place Tomball without RJ? I think Barbers Hill is a much better program than Nederland, if I say something negative about them I guarantee the majority of their reasonable fans agree. It’s hard to be objective if you’re a player’s relative, saying something that player’s relative doesn’t agree with isn’t talking down. As for the inferiority comment I still don’t get it? I think Crosby is one of the better 5A programs in the Houston area. I think the good 5A programs in Houston area are significantly better than the ones in the Triangle. Inferior to the other red and white team 15 mins up the road though, yeah.
  11. I have to admit, your gif game is even stronger than my daughter’s. Usually when it’s at this level most of your friends are women? You only have 95 posts so I may be getting the wrong signal?
  12. You ain’t lying, most already have. Could never figure out why on the way to the family reunion I either had to pee in Beaumont or wait until we got to the rest stop at the state line? I realize now that my dad was trying to leave a buffer zone.
  13. That’s what these people cracking jokes don’t understand. This is a temporary situation, Crosby’s tax base is more than able to recover from this. I’m with you though, crazy how the people that normally complain about who’s on welfare are the ones waiting on it. Hopefully our band will be able to march?
  14. Achane is being recruited as a rb/wr, he probably welcomes the move back. Kid killed it in the playoffs as a sophomore last year. Now they have Deshaun Watson 2.0. 5A-D2 region 3 is just absolutely brutal.
  15. FB Marshall is going to finish first and Manvel will finish second in district 11. They can’t play again until the regional final meaning Crosby would get Manvel or Marshall in the third round. I haven’t studied this new bracket but in all likelihood we’re going to have to beat them both to get out of the region unless we draw Huntsville in the second round and A&M Consolidated knocks one of them out first.
  16. Says the guy who has to compare his Barbie doll every time someone brings up the direction of Crosby’s program? Of all the mods you’re the one that’s usually on some bs and I’m not talking about one specific incident. In regards to that 40, 60 or however many year crap you want to reference, so be it. I think Crosby fans are perfectly fine where they are in the THSFB landscape and nobody wants to go backwards to being Nederland. You keep living in history while Crosby tries to make some of their own.
  17. We’re just taking the place of the old Dayton posters. It is what it is, we’re not lying to you. The demeanor may be abrasive but at least a good amount of Crosby supporters come on here to support their team/give opinion/talk trash. I never see any that hide after a loss either, I’ve started crow threads myself. As for me, I’m the poster-child for telling you Crosby is going to beat you, showing why I think Crosby is going to beat you, then providing the color while Crosby beats you. I see how that can get annoying. At least through mid-November.
  18. Dude, you're a PNG fan right now. They better hope your brother can put his cape back on and save the day or they'll be right back to getting exposed.
  19. Come on man, you're already out of material? If you have an IPhone you can turn it sideways for more screen space if the numbers get to big.
  20. Find ONE post where I claimed Crosby was the "Mecca" of high school football. Defend what when slapped with reality? I showed you the numbers that detailed exactly what I said. Lol, by the way I said that would be Vidor's only first round win for at least another five years and I was correct. I'm thinking about pushing it out to another 47 years though.
  21. Who cares where Ned has been and what bearing at all does it have on this game? 60 years ago they didn't play with facemasks and Crosby wasn't integrated. In today's climate Nederland is literally a non-factor unless they have a kid like Washington. Also, go find where I "Crosby was the regional standard"? Do try to contort my words into what you wanted to hear.
  22. Lol, 14.93 yards per carry sounds a lot better to me. I would say the sad thing is that it took y'all 73 plays to score 22 points with no turnovers while Crosby had two. As an example, you can average 6ypc on four rushing attempts of 20 yards, 2 yards and two 1 yard carries. In that scenario much like the last game went you're punting after four plays. Nobody is taking credit away from Vidor's kids. A statement was made about Vidor running the ball better than Crosby, I simply show you data that said Vidor ran it a lot but not necessarily better or more effectively. I've seen all three games of Vidor's defense on film, it's still weaker than Crosby's and by a significant margin. PNG had 638 yards, Crosby had 805. Howard put one in the bread basket on the opening drive and Chance Smith dropped it in the endzone which was the difference in the game. Defense last year was the worst I've ever seen at Crosby, new DC and a bunch of dogs have it looking real grim for the Pirate pirogue this round.
  23. You should know all about it, Nederland loses to Crosby every time we meet there.
  24. Smh, didn't you try to go to the same well before the Manvel game? Like I answered then, Crosby has the same amount as they do. I can name numerous high level programs with no state titles but for people like you that would be nothing more than an exercise in futility.
  25. I don't think it's a knock on a specific kid, just an analysis of the position. Through two games Dayton's qb was averaging 41.5% completions for two tds and three picks to go with -18 rushing yards. Dayton got significantly more with Baughman, Herrera and even dare I say little Hancock. None of the "great qbs" the other schools have are 0-3 either.
