  1. Man, how freaking funny is this thread now? LMAO! You have the top republican in the senate wanting to nominate Merrick Garland because he has conceded the White House and DOJ are so inept they can't pick an FBI director. By the way, democrats don't want to block the FBI director's nomination just to block it. They first want Comey to testify in an open hearing as to the reasons he believed he was fired, then make a judgment based on that information as to who they should vote for. The problem the democrats have is the same problem the Alabama state legislature had with their governor. The person under investigation will get to appoint the person that will continue the investigation into their wrong doing. Again I just ask, imagine if this was Obama appointing someone to investigate him? The right would want to impeach him for obstruction of justice.
  2. There are four in my department and they all told me they vote republican. Two of them even went to Prarie View A&M. Wow, so you think Carson had a legit point when he said slaves were immigrants coming to a land of dreams. That's a perfect encapsulation of the right's mindset.
  3. That's an odd statement. What's not to stand? That's like me saying conservatives couldn't stand it if somebody white won and was a democrat. Pretty odd.
  4. You have to have them out there, kind of like the Omarosa lady. It's like making Ben Carson head of the HUD department, then in his first address to them he refers to slaves like "Immigrants coming to a land of dreams and opportunity". You can't make this stuff up man, smh. By the way, all the black bosses at my job vote republican and I'm sure relay that to their kids. It has zero to do with conservative values though, it has everything to do with tree-huggers not liking the oil industry in which the work and in a round-a-bout way effecting their salaries.
  5. Smh, the corrupt Haitian government was given 10% of the something like $9billion that was donated to Haiti's recovery. What you didn't add in was countries like the US billing our own state department hundreds of millions of dollars for soldiers to hand out water to the people effected by the earthquake. The bulk of the money went to the UN, international aide groups and charges the donor countries levied for their military's involvement. I will say there should have been more vigilance in handing out the private reconstruction contracts though.
  6. The foundation used the money to stop the spread of AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa and provide life conserving medication to kids like the one in the picture who may have been born with the disease. You can see from his expression he thinks dRump is full of s*** too though.
  7. Un-named source? H.R. McMaster was in the meeting with Drump, Tillerson, Lavrov and Kislyak and is the one who went to the NSA, CIA and DNI to let them know what tRump had just done. THE RUSSIANS ARE THE ONES WHO RELAYED WHAT dRUMP LEAKED FROM HIS OWN MOUTH!!!! There was no American media present in the meeting, White House claimed they were tricked into letting the Russian media in. Smh.
  8. Once again you must do better. Drump bought a mansion in Palm Beach, Florida for $41million. Four years later he sold it to a Russian oligarch, who had once been arrested on charges he hired an assassin, for $100million if you include the brokerage fees. The Russian oligarch never lived in the house and tore it down. We now know FinCen is investigating the Russian oligarch and tRump's organization for money laundering as is often the case for Russian officials to move their stolen money out of the country. You don't have to do 6 degrees of separation with Drump, he does all the dumb s*** himself. By the way. We sell weapons to any and everybody who doesn't blatantly state they want to kill us like ISIS, Hezbollah, AQAP and the Muslim Brotherhood. What you should be asking is why the White House is taking Putin's position on arming Ukrainian rebels to defend themselves against the Russian invasion.
  9. LMAO! This is what you came up with? I thought you would at least bring up the issues with the Saudi's or the United Arab Emirates. This is nothing and was looked into by the Treasury Department several years ago. Obama had the largest inauguration ever, Trump had one of the smallest. Obama raised $53million to cover his inauguration with something like 1.6million people, Trump had about 200,000 at his inauguration and raised $107million. Donors don't get their money back, what the administration won't confirm is that about $90million of that is for paid access like foreign diplomats getting a chance to meet him down at Mar-a-Lago. Nevermind the access to the Oval Office Drump gave to state spies because "what was I supposed to do, tell Putin no I wouldn't meet with Lavrov?" Lol, you have to come better than that dude. Agent Orange's corruption during the campaign and first four months in office is already on par with 35 years of Hillary's deeds.
  10. You have to march to a different drummer, otherwise you'll follow this administration off the proverbial cliff. Republicans had 21 hearing and spent over $20million investigating Hillary's emails that led to a bunch of nothing. If she or Obama had even been implicated in passing off US intelligence classified even higher than top secret the would already have the articles of impeachment drawn up, not to mention blasted all over conservative media outlets like it was during the campaign when the FBI re-visited Hillary's emails. While we have potentially the worse scandal ever to hit the White House, this morning on Fox and Friends they were talking about JFK's family money coming from bootlegging and Bill Clinton scandals. Crazy how diametrically opposed reporting on the same issue can be these days.
  11. I always laugh when rep-tards bring up the pay for play thing. Nearly 40% of the people tRump selected for high level government positions were donors to his campaign. Before the inauguration Eric Trump set up a "donations for access" scheme eventually called out as pay for play and was trashed due to ethical conflicts. People in Venezuela are starving due to the government corruption, yet the oil minister donates $500k to tRump's inauguration. After he writes another check for $166k for a total donation of $666k(odd number) his son is granted a meeting with the National Security Council as well as a one on one with Steve Bannon to discuss Venezuela's ten point plan to remove sanctions imposed by Obama in 2014 when the government shot and killed 43 people in the street protesting the corruption. But hey, we're at the point in politics now when republicans will look the other way while the White House tries to make friends with Erdogan and Duterte so anything goes now. I bet guys like Corker, McCain and Graham are wishing all they had on their hands was an email scandal. You know we've reached a new level of incompetence in the White House when even McConnell is calling for Merrick Garland to be nominated as FBI director.
  12. Russia only fights ISIS in places where Assad's forces struggle, they could care less what happens in the region as long as can prop him up which maintains their influence. After Assad dropped chemical weapons on rebel held areas and killed 1,400 people Obama wanted to go after him but he did it the right way and asked for authorization from congress. Of course congress denied it citing sensitivities with Russia and Drump put out a tweet storm telling Obama how dumb he was for wanting to get involved in correcting human rights atrocities. But after Assad kills 80 with chemical weapons during this administration the idiot shoots off a bunch of missiles at an air base but gives the Russians a heads up so we don't hit crap and the air base is operational the next day, and republicans are fine with it because it wasn't Obama that did it. Russia helps Assad fight rebels, ISIS just gets in the way sometime. There are different levels of classification, the lowest is what Hillary had on her emails with a "C" notation somewhere near the header. Before last night I thought the highest level was "Top Secret" but undoubtedly there is a classification even higher than that referred to by "code words". US intelligence developed highly classified sources having to do with ISIS' plot to take down civilian airliners with using laptop bombs. The US developed a source inside the Islamic state, the information they were getting from him was highly classified and given a "code word". In a meeting with the Sergei Lavrov and Sergei Kislyak, the Russian ambassador/foreign minister with Kislyak being a known spy, Trump divulged the "code word" information to our mortal adversary. The White House is spinning it saying "the president can declassify anything" which is true. The problem comes in because the information he divulged was given to the US by another allied spy agency under the understanding that it wouldn't be shared with anybody. General McMaster yesterday said the story about tRump revealing classified sources was false, but that's not how the report read. tRump idiotically revealed the information the source gave them which an adversary like Russia could back-engineer to determine the source themselves and give a country like Syria a heads up allowing the information to ultimately fall into the wrong hands. The CIA and DNI asked the Washington Post not to reveal the city in which this took place but you can basically assure the cover for whatever source the US developed is blown and that source probably dead or being hunted as we speak.
  13. I truly don't think he's a hypocrite, he's just so unbelievably stupid and grossly incompetent that he doesn't realize what he's doing. Same way he had the vice president and the communications team telling everybody the reason he fired Comey was because of the deputy AG's recommendation, before his dumb arse did an interview with Lester Holt and flat out admitted he had the "Russia thing" on his mind when he fired him. He's truly stupid, you see why we've never had a guy that's held elected office be president now. The guy literally fired the head of the agency investigating him, had a meeting with the ambassador and known Russian agent in which he divulged information classified above top secret, an agent which he had to fire his national security advisor for lying about meeting with, an agent the attorney general had to recuse himself for lying about meeting with, and one we wouldn't even know was in the Oval Office had in not been for RUSSIAN STATE MEDIA sending out pictures with our over-joyous numbskull shaking hands with him because US journalist WEREN"T ALLOWED IN THE MEETING. Man, you couldn't write this stuff in a TV script because nobody would believe it. Yet, republicans believe every word and think it's a hoax.
  14. Lol, there has been no worse candidate than agent orange in American political history. Maybe David Duke or George Wallace? Part of the reason Hillary lost is because she doesn't lean left as Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren. Hillary losing was the worst thing that could have happened to the republican party. Due to the president's gross incompetence it's going to cause republicans to be wiped out in the 2018 midterms just like the democrats were for pushing through health care. Health care republicans will expedite their dismissal for repealing. You're the perfect replication of a tRump voter. Hillary is scum and should be in jail but a guy that grabs them by the p****, uses loopholes to cheat the government out of taxes, lies about charitable giving, uses the office of the presidency to enrich himself and his family, calls Mexicans rapist and says a Hispanic judge can't do his job because "he's a Mexican"(even though he was born in Indiana), is accused by multiple women of sexual assault while supporting a guy like O'Reilly who paid out millions and was fired for sexual harassment, cheats on all three of his wives, doesn't understand why we had the Civil War, man I could fill up this whole page but I think you get the picture. That guy is ok though? Lol, that's why I don't even get on here anymore. It's a lost cause.
  15. For one, I would say the hacking of DNC emails that were released to the public which created a division between the Clinton and Sanders wing of the party causing lots of Sanders supporters to vote third party. My younger cousin just graduated from Lamar and said he wouldn't vote for Hillary because the emails showed Bernie never had a chance. If you look at third party tallies in the battleground states you can see the small numbers she lost by reflected in them. Where Russia thrives on the international stage is in propaganda and misinformation. Russia tried the same thing in the French election this past weekend to promote Marine Le Pen but it wasn't successful due to the heads up from our election. Where they succeeded at here is the misinformation, stories like the one about Hillary Clinton being behind a child sex trafficking ring being ran out of a pizza parlor. A story amplified by the use of Russian internet bots and one re-tweeted by Mike Flynn as well as his son which caused a deranged gunman to go in and shoot up the place because he wanted to right Hillary's wrong. It's said their intentions weren't really to get tRump elected, that was just a plus. Their real goal was to undermine faith in the election process if Hillary, who Putin despises, got elected. They didn't want her to have the stroke in the US or with NATO to strengthen sanctions for their invasion of Crimea, sanctions that leave a half trillion dollar oil deal with the Russian state owned oil company Rosneft and Exxon in limbo.
  16. They're hiding the fact that tRump's former campaign manager is under investigation for receiving $12million in payments from a pro-Russian former Ukrainian strongman he used to buy property in the US with and is now under investigation for money laundering. During his time as campaign manager the pro-Ukraine language was removed from the republican platform per Russia's request. Flynn received $500k from the Turkish government for supposed lobbying but it's now found out that the money came from a Russian oligarch hand-picked by Putin himself. tRump knows they have surveillance on him from his time in Russia while he owned the Ms. Universe pageant which is where some of the info on the dossier comes from. Russian banks are also his largest financiers and have documentation of the Azerbaijan deal in which tRump used contractors associated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. Flynn said "innocent people don't ask for immunity" and said that "if I had done a tenth of what Hillary Clinton did I would be in prison". Well, Flynn requested immunity for his testimony and lied on paperwork pertaining to his security clearance which should get him sent to prison. That's just the tip of the iceberg though.
  17. Pretty much everything the British agent outlined in his dossier has been proven true. Leaks from foreign intelligence agencies are the reason we know Carter Page was meeting with Russian agents in the Seychelles. It's the reason we know Mike Flynn discussed sanctions with Ambassador Kislyak and lied about it. Leaks are the reason we know cables were intercepted with the Russians congratulating each other on their successful interference in the election. They're the reason we know people on the Russian side of the dossier keep turning up dead or in jail. I guess I don't get what you're saying? The only reason we basically know anything is because of the leaks. Republican's worst fear right now is for Flynn to testify and out everybody.
  18. I think that would be a good thing. Remove immunity from Hillary's case and give Flynn total immunity like he asked for and let him testify in an open session on Capitol Hill. Make him implicitly state his Russian contacts and ask him who knew what and when in the administration so it can be proved Mike Pence lied twice in an interview in which he said he had no idea Flynn was a foreign agent even though as the head of the transition Sally Yates and Flynn's lawyer let him know that information. Then we can also get Gowdy to testify why he had four more years of hearings lined up when it was thought Hillary would win only to be forgotten about once tRump was elected. In this case it's clear he would be withholding information that wasn't found in the first 21 Benghazi hearings in which $20.5million of taxpayer money was used. With 9/11 only having 22 hearings I would be very interested to know what Gowdy has up his sleeve that would surpass the number of hearings needed to iron out the death of 3,000 people.
  19. I think you're the most informed person on this thread. Crazy how people on the right try to make this a partisan thing because president is a republican. I just read some post of people on here talking about the hypocrisy of democrats when you can find 15 clips of agent orange praising Comey for his resolve after he came out and said the investigation to Hillary's emails was reopened. Praise, according to Sara Sanders, the president has been rethinking since the day he was elected. It wasn't until lawmakers asked Comey to speed up the Russia investigation, which subsequently led to him asking Rosenstein for more resources(which the administration denies), that he decided Comey was unfit to lead the agency. All the documentation from the state department Trump used to fire Comey was dated the same day, Sanders said the president acted quickly based on information from a non-partisan source. That makes the story even more odd seeing as how Sally Yates told the White House Mike Flynn was compromised but they held on to him for 18 days until the story was "leaked" to the press which forced their hand. Meaning without those "leaks" we would still have a national security adviser that's also registered as a foreign agent of a country moving increasingly towards autocracy. A country our idiot leader called and congratulated for Edrogan's "referendum" victory in which he consolidated nearly complete power in Turkey. Reports are that Trump was so angered by Comey's testimony on Capitol Hill the first time that he was screaming at the tv for his refusal to back him up on claims that Obama wiretapped him. Amid all of this he invites Kislyak, who he fired Flynn for lying about meeting with, and Lavrov, who is know to US intelligence as a spy recruiter, into the Oval Office for a meeting closed to US journalist but open to Russian state news media. Media that even Trump's team warned him could be concealing listening devices in cameras. We're at the point now where leaks about interference in the US election are more important than actual interference in the US election and potential collusion from campaign associates like Manafort, Page and Flynn. People are trying to take the "unmasking" route when the only reason someone is asked to be unmasked is to gauge their intentions from the communications with a foreign agent already being surveilled like the people Page and Flynn were communicating with! I think tRump is worse than Nixon. Watergate was lies and a cover up about a hotel break in. Russiagate is lies and cover up about collusion with a foreign adversary. In today's climate I'm not sure the right cares to differ though.
  20. I always wondered exactly how good of a coach Mathis was because he would get his brains beat in by Reginald Samples at Skyline early in his tenure. Samples is a title away from being in the coaching hall of fame if his resume isn't there already though? Looking back Skyline had the same caliber players and would dwarf Desoto's enrollment because they should've been D2 but Cedar Hill, who was one of the smallest 6A's in the state at the time, would often get put in their district and push them up. Those three consecutive years Desoto lost to those Kyler Murray title teams Allen had double the enrollment. People in Desoto always figured if they went D2 they would win a title and the first time they dropped down last year they did which is why Peterman doesn't get the credit some people on this board obviously feel he deserves. The "football" people at Desoto ISD knew/know all that stuff. The superintendent said the issue didn't have anything to do with race and I believe said he was "sickened" by the allegations that was the cause for the situation. I don't know how true it is but my buddy in Plano told me it wasn't about race either. Said that after Peterman won a title he went to the administration and wanted a raise after year two on the job, some of the members said they would rather show him the door. He said the race thing came up because Peterman was dipping on the sideline in the first game he coached a couple of years ago and got reprimanded, some felt that wasn't fair and sort of racist because they wouldn't accept what common practice at other places.
  21. You're not a top coach though. There are guys coaching on those exits off 635 and 820 whose ego won't even fit in their coach's office. The very last thing they're worried about is how the previous guy got treated.
  22. Any time a group of people do something questionable ethically you're going to have people come out and support what's deemed the "right thing" in exorbitant numbers due to the outside perception of the community and people not wanting to be associated with that perception, hence the overwhelming applause. Why would a coach from Arlington ISD go to Desoto? Because he knows he can come right back down 20 and stomp a mudhole in the team he just left with the talent he just acquired. Not to mention if he has higher aspirations, Desoto get A LOT more interaction with important position coaches due to the caliber of player he has. Position coaches with no stroke do the majority of the Spring evaluations in most cases. When you have 10 fours stars on a roster at any given time coordinators who can "put in a good word" for you with the head coach often come through though. There are a a bunch of high level head coaches willing to take a $100k job with a little flak in order to make $250k as a position coach a few years later due to connections you've made through your players, as well as being shown favor for your relationships with high level players much like Corby Meekins was. Jaylin Nelson was supposed to be the qb at Desoto, he left at the same time Mathis did and went to Duncanville because of Reginald Samples. Kids like Tristan Wallace and Shawn Robinson are the norm at Desoto so the last thing any coach would be worried about was a qb. Peterman's first year Desoto signed more D1 players than wins they put up which is where his problem started. Jon Kay was always seen as the more fitting coach at North Shore even though David Aymond was the only coach to put up a title in school history at that time. You have to remember Ronnie Gage also had two state championships, doesn't mean you're a great coach as we found out when he ran the same offense at BH but didn't have those same athletes. Coaches won't ignore the manner in which he's being treated but if you think there's this huge swath of coaches that won't take the job at one of the two or three highest profile schools in an area that probably plays the best football in the country on principle alone, well . . . .
  23. Navasota is a 4A basically in the middle of nowhere, that's more of a hometown guy job like it was for Fedora. Desoto is talent mill in South Dallas meaning they could hire coaches on Reginald Samples level and they wouldn't even have to move. Other places around the state don't have the same values as say Lumberton, TX. At Desoto U it's about winning, scholarships and trying to get to the league. Coaches dream about coaching kids like that, even if someone in their fraternity has been slighted previously.
  24. I'm sure Desoto doesn't feel like they lose anything if they run Peterman out the door except the only coach who's won a title there. Peterman came up under Mathis, and not only would they love to have Mathis back for a third time, some of the top coaches around the state will be tripping over the threshold trying to get in the door there. It's like Allen, North Shore or Trinity where the sheer number of high quality athletes gives any competent coach a huge advantage over the competition, which is why Desoto wins in both major sports. If Peterman leaves I highly doubt he'll ever get a job equivalent to Desoto again.
  25. School board members are elected and elections have consequences, which is why I'm now stuck with agent orange in the White House. Claude Mathis, who's probably along with Phil Danaher is best THSFB coach without a title, built that program up and handed the keys over to Peterman who subsequently went 6-6 the next year. People in Desoto were on Peterman for that and now that Mathis has left SMU to go back to the high school ranks I could only imagine the board members salivating to have him back. There are a bunch of people in Desoto who feel Peterman would've also underachieved this year had it not been for Shawn Robinson's mom taking the girls head basketball coaching job and bringing him along to put up the nearly 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns he did last season. It's not the first and won't be the last time an elected board moves/wants to move/tries to move a coach out at the befuddlement of onlookers, no matter how questionable the root cause is.
