All that means is HJ get to win in a really nice gym. . .HJ by 20+

My fault I forgot to post MY prediction. . .Silsbee by 12

Not to cause a big argument, but some people bet on the long shot horse simply because it is far more glorious to win when you are the only one who picked right (and the pay off is better). And you are absolutely right this is a "PREDICTIONS" thread where people can predict whatever they want. It doesn't say anything about who SHOULD win. If that was the question you would probably have more people vote for the Tigers, but a prediction thread gives people a chance to show their spirit while also giving them a chance to bet on the long shot. So let them have their fun and don't get upset when they do. Besides try to tell the Patriots who should have won the Super Bowl

And I totally agreed with ya Dicky in my previous posts. . .I just think the kid is a better than average ball player on both the turf and the hardwood. He is more suited for the gridiron, but a good round ball player either way. As far as highsky is concerned. . .I am glad you know the arkansas coaching staff so personally that you have mastered their recruiting assignments. Big name SEC Basketball schools even have bench warmers who don't produce much. Kentucky has a little short 5' 2" point guard that only plays in blow outs and he doesn't produce much, but they still take him everywhere they go. I guess that contradicts your point.

Allright everyone needs to get their heads out of the clouds and re-read the thread title. Could TT walk on his college basketball team. I don't understand why you would want to compare TT to DJ at UT or why Dicky is ready to call the NBA(sacrcastically speaking). No one ever said the kid would be the best PG on his team or that he would even be in the top 15. Could he be the kid that comes in at the end of a game during a 30 point blow out. Or the kid who makes one heck of a practice player. I think he could. Stop comparing him to the best when the question was could he simply make the team.

I never said they had lost more or less games?!?!? Just "KEY" ones. Some that I feel like they definitely should have won. I am not downing them so don't take it that way, they just haven't played like I felt they would.

Thomas over Marsh. . .no question
-
WOW. . .I would agree Dicky, that just looks strange on paper. In football you have more positions to fill and with a higher rate of injury you need to be deeper at each position, so taking a chance on a small town kid for football would pay higher dividends than taking that same small town kid for basketball. It is much easier to "hide" a less skilled player on the football field than it is on the hardwood. Just ask any junior high coach across the nation, they will tell you that's true.

*EC vs. Hardin/63-56 EC Wins/Comments*
UKCats replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Well that is if you don't have Huntsville Chapter Officials. We have a guard who reverse pivots ALWAYS and one of our officials called travel on him 9 times in one game. When asked how that was travel his reply was "It just didn't look right". But I can remember the days when the jumpstop between two defenders was just beginning to get popular and they called that travel all the time. Congratulations to EC and good luck on the remainder of the season. -
Martellus played B-ball for 2 years, but he quit for the same reason. It was just too much work. He often times had 2 separate workouts in the same day when basketball season got closer and he said it was just absolutely killing him. I know lots of athletes who are capable talent wise, but it is often times just too much on them physically.

In my opinion Jasper has played some pretty good teams closer than I expected them to, so we shall see how their season turns out. On the downside I believe HJ has lost a few key games that may hurt them during the play-off run. They have not played the polished game I normally expect from them. However, once again we will all know how everyone will do soon enough.

Evadale's gym is nice, just as long as you don't mind the smell. That has to be some PA there.

Cleveland by a landslide. . .15 at least!

Allright, here you make a valid point. I watched a game last year between a very quick undisciplined team and a VERY slow, well coached team. The well coached team wins out every time. When you find a coach with disciplined kids that can change the pace of the game and play to another teams weaknesses then you win ball games. I don't care how fast or individually talented your opponent is, if you aren't well coached you won't go far!

Aggies at Red Raiders/Red Raiders Win
UKCats replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Maybe Turgeon should head over to his neighbors gym at Sam Houston and see what he needs to do in order to beat Tech. You know your having an up and down season when you lose to SHSU and then beat a #9 ranked Texas A&M. -
Even though it's been around for a while the "fieldhouse" gym at BH is really nice. But the winner has to be the new gym at madisonville. Big, nice and brand new.
Great job Coach Henson and the Wildcats. Way to get back into the game and roll.. The Legget Coach did the best job with what he had. Don't think he could have done much more. He seems to have a young team. Someone told me he use to play for Goodrich???? Brookeland matched his adjustments and took it to them..... And Cats,,, had new ref's that i had never seen before... They did a good job, Still alot of fouls on both sides but they were able to keep up with the speed of the game which our usual refs can't even come close too. Hope Coach Henson is able to get these guys back.. Also Coop... give me a number that i can text scores to and i will try to give you some qtr updates to the Brookeland Home games. Although i may go Goodrich for that one...
You would be correct, he did use to play for goodrich. -
about the comment about the Leggett team adjusting to the coach. well it is actually the coaches 2nd year with leggett... Congrats to First Year Brookeland Coach, Eddie Henson and the Wildcats!
New coach meaning fresh out of college, straight into a varsity head position, never any previous experience. Second year or not he's still fresh meat. -

Brookeland wins this one easy. Legget is having a hard time adjusting to their new coach who benches at least 2 kids a week for discipline. HA HA thats tough to do when you only have 7 -
