I'm in banking --- but this vacation --- just a trip to hang out with an old college friend. We take roadtrips every couple of years and i'm so bored of the northeast and midwest. Plus this gives me an excuse to be free of the wife for a week  ;D

dustoff: We're pretty much going everywhere. Flying into Houston and then driving east into Louisiana for the Creole Trail. Then we're headed back to Houston sat night for an Astros game, San Antonio (the Alamo) then Austin.  Plenty of BBQ i've done my homework on too. The reason why east Texas works is because we'll be coming in Friday afternoon and then starting the Creole Trail in Sulphur on Sat morning. phatmack19: Thank you! I will do that!

Btw... for what it's worth, the reason I chose Nederland for a game is that they seem to be the team in that region (Close from I-10 to Louisiana) that is consistantly good.

I'm flying into Houston from Buffalo, NY. My old college buddy is coming in from Pittsburgh.

Looks like I said fighting words! hehehe.. my definition of rival is that they're geographical close. I honestly know very little to say anything beyond that! either way, for my trip, i don't have the ability to stop by earlier in the week to buy tickets. I'll call the school and see if there's anyways I  can buy over the phone.

Hey everyone, I'm an out of towner visiting Texas for the first time in September. A buddy and I would like to experience a high school football game and saw that Nederland was playing near we're we'll be. Can someone help out and explain how I can get a ticket for the game? Do games usually sell out? Thanks for your help... I'm looking for a real Texas experience and you can't do that without seeing a game. Darren
