Porter wins. Things get better when Sterling gets to the last two games of the season to win bragging rights in Baytown, but not before then. Another loss coming to the Rangers this week. Seat for the Ranger staff has to be getting warmer now. 6 years of losing. As far as job security goes, the future of that staff is in jeapardy.

As long as Jasper has Coach Crumedy, I can’t pick against them. A good man, a good coach. Jasper wins this one.

Still football related…but I was impressed with the way WOS had the food trucks , the music , and the tailgate thing going on tonight. Very community oriented…..just saying…anyway, you fellas said everything that needed to be said about this game, but my God that was a good Turkey leg tonight.

You make a fine point, sir. Certainly a debate to be had for sure. I just don’t see Orangefield being knocked out of the playoffs with four teams being allowed to go. I don’t expect a district title from them this year , but you get four places to get in. In regards to some of the other conversations on this thread…You know I can understand the slot T being used as they put it when you are “out athleted” if Orangefield was still playing WOS or Silsbee in that bigger district. Personally , I have a tough time believing that Orangefield is “out athleted” in this current district they are in. I saw the 9th grader throw the ball for Ofield varsity. You are getting him experienced early, and he is a big kid with what appears to be a decent arm strength. I refuse to believe that it has to be slot T or else “everytime or every year”….you don’t have the lineman or the current backs to run the system this year as was mentioned in here by others , then why are you refusing to adapt or change? Many opinions on this , but there is nothing wrong with at least stating an opinion like “bobcatdad” did earlier on here. It isn’t working for them right now. No one can argue that point. They are the largest school in the district they are currently in..Regardless of how someone loves the coaches or loves the school district, and I think it’s both very honorable and somewhat comical when people come roaring to the defense of a coach or a program… there is no excuse for not making the playoffs when four team go in this district. Orangefield cannot hide from that..they need to get in the playoffs. They have good enough talent in players to get in. Four teams go man..they need to be one of them, and I believe they will be. In fact , I believe they beat Buna this week and start 1-0 in district. I’m not sold on the Buna hype train.

Reality train has come to visit the staff at Bridge City. Lumberton put 63 on you, with HF, WOS, Silsbee, and Jasper still on the schedule. Sure, BC beats Hardin Jefferson..everybody does and they will beat Liberty…everybody does. “Here come the judge.”

Memorial by as many as they want. Sterling gone to one linebacker coach and that isn’t working. New coordinators on both sides of the ball and that is questionable. No offense and no way to stop Memorial. This one will be bad for the rangers. Bad , bad , real bad. Did I say bad?

Another bad loss for Sterling with Memorial and Porter over the next two weeks. Time to take a deep look into that staff. I believe they have gone to just one linebacker coach and that isn’t working. Offense struggling too.

Slot T shut down again. Tough to watch. Thank goodness they are about to be in that district where there aren’t enough teams that can keep them out of the playoffs.

When they beat Orangefield in a district game that matters, I will be a Buna believer.

A matchup of two really good quarterbacks here. I heard the QB from Lumberton could throw the ball all over the yard. BC quarterback just a tremendous athlete. Should be fun one to see.

Both tradition rich programs. What a great game to see. Newton will be Newton and the great football that they play. However, it’s WOS in this one.
