Not the first time in this run where we didn't have multiple D1 talents. I think back to the 08'-10' classes. It was during that run we lost to BRAZOSWOOD in the playoffs. We had a couple lean years and then the 2013 class came along. We won in 2015 after starting off slowly. 2018 started a run of talent few programs ever experience. I'm just saying it's way to early to go writing us the way some are doing.

Kind of like all that Beaumont talent got the hell out of that dumpster fire of a school district several years ago. 🤣🤣🤣

I'm sure a lot of people were writing La Porte off after going down 17-0. But if I've learned anything over the years about The Border War. It's that it's not over until the final buzzer sounds. As OlDawg said a lot of jitters played a role in that 17-0 Deer lead. Once both teams settled down it was classic Border War.

It wasn't a good night for North Shore. As far as the North Shore run being over. Let me remind you in 2015 they lost all three of their non district games. They would put those losses behind them and win their second state championship. Go ahead and write us off if it makes you feel better about your teams chances. Let remind you it's not how you start the season. It’s about how you finish it.

When a team finally beats you on your home field and the players do backflips like they just won a state championship. That creates a rivalry. 🤣

The season for North Shore was a total failure. I know that sounds harsh but we've come to have a state title or bust mentality. The defense played their tails off and kept us in a couple of games we probably should have lost. The offense just never found it's identity. We saw glimpses of what it could be, but it couldn't find consistency A lot are contemplating our demise but then they've been doing that for 20 plus years now. We may indeed fall back a bit, but don't look for us to fall off the face of the earth.

What is PAM looking for that they haven't already gotten from BU?

Westlake came to play today and North Shore didn't simple as that. Only the second time since 2018 Duncanville and North Shore won't play for the state title.
