TABC 2015-16 Girls Rankings/Week of February 1, 2016
RaiderRed30 replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Girls Basketball
One of the easiest answers is because you get the schools that do not play volleyball only basketball. Then you look at many of those small schools they have generations of players that have all grown up together, just as their parents and grandparents had done. It creates a system where the players know each other so well, that it makes basketball seem to be on a string. Also many of those schools have the gym and the team. That is all. They have nothing else. They live in the gym. The high school students are in the same building as junior high and elementary and it creates a system where everyone wants to be just as good as the ones before. They act like the ones before continuing the success. In 1A the top schools are always the same. Nazareth, Lipan, 4 or 5 teams have central Texas. It is all they have. Finally, personally, I think there is a survival factor that can only occur in 1A schools. They never know how long their school is going to be open because of numbers. They have to fight for everything. Any year could be the last. Combine that with the fact the entire town is at the games and the fact that the younger ones are watching, makes the 1A players fight every minute. More so than any other classification. 1A is also very interesting in the fact that Central Texas which plays such a unique style is split between Region II, III, and IV. Evant and Jonesboro are Region IV. Rochelle until this alignment was IV as well. The toughest district in the state (Lipan, Huckabay, Gordon, Gorman, Strawn, Lingleville) is Region III. The rest are region II. If you look at the brackets their is always multiple teams that make it very deep in their region that play in this area. The style is not played anywhere else and it makes it difficult to game plan against. -

Okay, I understand. Was just wondering because 1A is actually more difficult to win than 2A. -

Are you saying that if you were dropped to 1A you would win state with ease? That is of course if you're enrollment is under 104.5 -
Including the final four regular season wins from last season, the Warriors have reached 15 in a row. The next three games will be challenges. Toronto Tuesday, at the Clippers Thursday, and the Bulls Friday.

No this was ISIS or Al-Qaida. Islamic extremists that have distorted Islam to however they see fit. They are not Muslim. They are nothing.
-
This is terrorism. Nothing more. Nothing less. It is terrorism. In a time like this, people should not be thinking about politics, religion, etc. That is inhumane. Everyone should be thinking about Paris and the victims. Who cares about politics. Who cares about religion. People were killed and injured. That is what matters. The people. If this turns out to be ISIS I do not care what country or countries the United States works with to rid them. ISIS has committed genocide, both cultural and religious. They have destroyed history. They have raped women. They have brainwashed children. They are nothing but terrorists. They are nothing. My thoughts are with the Victims, with the Parisians, and with France.

Okay so what you are telling me he is not as good as Shaq, but he might still play point guard. Only joking, there will probably never be another 7 foot point guard. As long as he is athletic like Porzingas and not another Shawn Bradley, he should help Central.
-
I am hoping he is going to play like Shaq did at Cole and play point guard. It's a longshot, but that would be great to watch.
-
Down to 7!!!! Need these schedules please!

Liberty has theirs, but it is in the event calendar mode. It is complete. Leggett also has theirs in the calendar mode, but it is only updated through the first weekend in December. -
I know exactly how they play and their area. I do think this tournament for them will be good, especially if they have their football guys back. I got a feeling that they will play to their advantage and go fast against teams that want to go slow and slow against the teams that want to go fast. They are capable of that. They will also have one of the deepest benches, considering that whole area lives in the gym. They are always going to be a challenge no matter who or where they play.

Anyone in the know know anything about who Brock might be playing in their pool? They could be a nice little challenge with their style being so different from the rest of the schools and their reload mentality.

SETXsports High School Football Rankings - Final
RaiderRed30 replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Football
Saying the truth is not dogging. My comment was that District 15 and 16 are the weakest 2 districts in the state. That is still my belief. Calvert has 40 students and beat High Island with ease. Y'all beat High Island at home by 2. Calvert would be a 45 point favorite no matter where the location. -
He'll have a challenge tonight. Bogut and Ezeli.
-
Seriously asking did he have control before he pitched it backwards? I didn't think that spinning while being tackled was considered a football move.
-
That's what the pads are for. Just like in every gym (except Cherokee).
-
No, they actually made it smaller during the expansions. It's what makes it a great stadium. All that noise funnels right in to the field.
-
Yeah, I think the whole team found their shot tonight. 74 in the first half with 28 assists on 30 shots. That is NBA2K stats.
-
He started to find it Wednesday against the Clippers. Tonight he could go off. Denver played at home last night and had a two hour flight to Oakland this morning. They will be tired.
-
Yes they will lose. It's impossible to win all 82 games. Look at the Bulls And if you think I've been a fan for 2 years you know nothing.
-
Except that Mark Jackson couldn't. Kerr is still helping. He created the offense and defense. You cannot say a coach is overrated when it is his system. Everyone said the offense would be gone without Gentry, but it's been better. Kerr is not on the bench, but he has been at practices and in communication with Walton between games. Find one coach who would have had the guts to bench Iggy and then bring him back for the Finals. You won't.

His family is an honorary member of a Native Canadian Tribe, so I'm guessing that messing with the environment in any way that can be portrayed as negative is a no go with him. He is supportive of the Pipeline but not as much as Harper. For Canada only a little bit of the Pipeline would need to be built. When their was an idea about a Pipeline from Alberta to British Columbia he was against it, because of environmental reasons.
-
I feel bad for Luke Walton. What do you find wrong when it's 90-46 in the 3rd?
-
I hate playing the Grizzlies almost as much as playing the Spurs.
-
Good doubleheader tonight on NBATV: Thunder at Rockets - MVP hopefuls Durant and Westbrook vs. Harden Grizzlies at Warriors - One of the best defensive teams vs. the best offensive teams inside the loudest arena in the NBA.

I can't really tell anything based off of the photo
