Newton's D will be rude to the Tigers backfield. The run and pass game of Newton will be hard for Silsbee to stop. I wouldn't be surprised if Newton bust this game wide open leaving no doubt. Not saying they will but just in case don't be surprised.

Liked what I saw from Newton vs Kirbyville. Passing game coming together. Running game hard to stop. The backs from Newton run Hard and the young #9 comes in and caps it off. Hard to bring down. Defense is on target .Once the receivers stop dropping the should have caught balls Newton will be hard to beat. Silsbee will be tough and the depth deficit Silsbee faced against PNG will be in their favor in this game. If there's a weakness in Newton its depth. They have to stay healthy. Newton's got what it takes to 3peat. Just do it . I think Newton wins against Silsbee. 🏈🏈🏈peat👍

I hope the teams who got the Woodsheding last year make improvements this year.. All these young men have worked hard under the sun to step out under the Friday Night Lights..

Newton is playing without #8.. He ran down breakaway runners at ease and could elevate to defend or catch a pass. Newton has played pass teams. That ref was pulling for Newton to lose by his non calls and calls against Newton from what I witnessed against Hemphill. What other 3A D2 teams have played the schedule Newton has played. Newton will be ready when it counts. They are trying different formations and personell. That ref should come watch the celebration @ AT&T in Dec. SMH..

I was just thinking about this very thing. My thoughts were : If a team is looking forward to Newton being down next year and expecting to beat them down. Not gonna happen so easy. I think Newton will be better than most think next year. Newton is never bad... Period.

Newtons schedule was one of the toughest in state for a 3A D2 team. Dont know where your from but try a little of Jasper/Silsbee/ Wos/Gilmer/ see how your team comes out.. No 3A D1 or D 2 could stop Newton.. Newton could go in 4A D 2... Like I said... meet us @ AT& T

I wish more competition could have been displayed against some of the teams Gilmer has played. Wow never thought Gilmer would be down this bad. Gotta tell ya. If Gilmer continues to play as they have it will be a long night in Newton.

Newton has had 2 weeks to get prepared for any offense they bring.. bring it !!
