Montgomery (31) @ Port Neches-Groves (37) - FINAL
OneChance replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
I paused and watched on NDN Press, it was a fwd pass by like a 1/4 of a yard. It was very close though. -
Say what you want, it within the rules, PNG players wore white gloves again SOC and SOC had white Jersey’s on, why didn’t PNG players wear purple or black gloves? I’m a huge PNG fan, we won, who really cares what color gloves they wore, they were legal.

I went from Troy (9th Grade) Malone (10th and 11th Grades) to Owens (12th Grade) and I can tell you the biggest difference between Malone and the other two was the Strength and Conditioning program as well as the intensity of the off season. Malone and his staff were on a whole different level from the others.

Coach Bill Belichick, I guess learned how to coach when Tom Brady started playing QB and forgot how to coach when Tom Brady left? He is the same coach he was when he lost his ass in Cleveland and is still the same coach he was when he was winning with Tom Brady. The common denominator was talent in one player. Buuuutttt, did Tom Brady all of a sudden become this amazing talent when he arrived at New England?? He barely made it on the field at Michigan. He even barely made the NFL and almost never got a starting opportunity if it wasn’t for injuries. So what was it, the coach or the talent? I would say it was both. Bill Belichick was able to get the most out of Tom Brady where other coaches couldn’t at Michigan. Bill Belichick has not had the same luck with other QB’s though. It’s a great debate that I don’t think no one can really ever answer, but one thing is for sure, the coach has to have a good chemistry with the talent, you also need a lot of luck along the way too!

I would assume Stallworth, since it is right at a hour for both schools. -
Season opener for both teams: 1Q 2Q 3Q 4Q Final PNG 15 15 19 4 53 Dayton 5 6 11 10 32 PNG looked really good, last qtr they had all the starters on the bench, with two Freshman, two soph and a Junior on the floor. Played good team defense. Solid start to the season.

I see people saying this is game #100, but the math isn’t mathing. PNG wins, Ned can’t flood the field anymore and make it a mud bowl! -
Fort Bend Marshall (0) @ Port Neches-Groves (7) - FINAL

PNG has one kid with Power 5 offer (OL), Shea (who wasn’t playing) doesn’t have a power 5 offer. -
Fort bend Marshall @ Port Neches-Groves in 2 weeks.
OneChance replied to prepballfan's topic in High School Football
He had Lisfranc surgery yesterday, he is out for the season, that’s six weeks of no weight on the surgically repaired foot. Hate that for him, hopefully the offers that he had in the off-season will not be pulled and he will be able to play next year in college. -
Clubs have been around since the early 90’s

Comeaux ended up with 1273 wins in her career, so she is not far behind.
-
MacArthur game was in Aldine, I was at that game, almost had a couple of brawls on the field that game.
-
The coach that was just at PNG only had 1yr experience.

PNG HC position is now posted and available.

Since it hasn’t been announced I won’t say anything, but I know her personally, she is young, she is hungry and she is competitive. She has coached a super small private school to the state championship I think it’s three years in a row now and has started up a travel team. I’m not sure why you wouldn’t like where she went to HS, but it’s a mid county school. I think she will do good things at Vidor!
-
Yes, had a nagging knee injury, that would have had her out until mid January and she just decided she wanted to focus on school and actually have a winter break and hung up the high tops
-
I figured that is where she was headed from what I saw on social media, but never saw her actually commit. Congratulations to her and all the young ladies that will continue their playing careers at the collegiate level. It was a lot of fun watching my kid play at the collegiate level.

Did any local girls sign any NLI to go play anywhere in college this year? I like following the local girls careers to see their success at the next level. I figured Dalanna Carter would have signed a big D1 scholarship, but I haven’t seen anything. Thanks
