OF looks to be another example of be careful what you wish for, chase a winning coach off and you then see the results soon after. -

If you don’t have some of THE GROVES running through your blood, then you are soft! 🤣 Growing up in THE GROVES, I absolutely hated everyone from PN, I had no idea about Nederland, but playing for The Groves Browns, I wanted to destroy PN, in the 8th and 9th grade as a Brave at The Groves Middle School was absolutely no different, probably worse. I hated those softies over at PN, couldn’t believe I might have to be on the same team as them, this is 100% truth to my mind set back in the day. -

You guys are driving me crazy, it’s not Groves, it’s THE GROVES! You going to have to take the PNG off your name and just be Bamatex if you don’t know about the legacy of THE GROVES! The Groves Browns Pop Warner program had some of the meanest and baddest boys around for years and years! -
Fort Bend Marshall (21) vs Port Neches-Groves (29) - FINAL

I watched the first two drives of Flower Bluff vs LH, man that Slot-T is very weird to watch, half the time watching I had no idea who had the ball. I’m assuming you stop it by play discipline gap defense. I don’t think you can blow them back off the line if scrimmage, by the time you are making contact the runner is zipping past you. -

They only allowed 14 points in district and that was the first district game. Very very lopsided games.
-
PNG’s potential 2nd round match up absolutely dominated their district, are they really that good or is that district just that bad?

Bad weather looks like it will be moving in again, what constitutes a complete game if called because of weather? -
They probably should have brought them up to Varsity to compete for playing time. Hopefully they can keep that group together in the future.

PNG is open again, not sure where Lance went or what happened. [Hidden Content]

They lost in the Elite 8 on Saturday night, what a ride that was. If you have a daughter that wants to continue to play basketball after High School, do not blow off Div 3 schools. Div 1 is obviously the big dogs, yes Div 3 does not pay “athletic money” but my daughter is getting an absolutely awesome education at a very very discounted price with grants and scholarships. She is having one of the best college experiences possible. My oldest daughter attends Texas A&M and tells us all the time that she wishes she was having the same experience as her younger sister.

My daughter plays for Trinity University Tigers, tonight in the NCAA Div 3 Sweet 16, we took out the #1 ranked team 76-71 to move on to the Elite 8!!! We took out #25 Hardin Simmons and #4 Whitworth last weekend!!!

4A State Championship Game, HJ vs Brownsboro/BB 50 HJ 49
OneChance replied to drewlsu's topic in High School Girls Basketball
In the four years Jackson has been there, three girls have went on to play JUCO, one her Freshman year, she went to Angelina JC and didn’t play much and only stayed her Freshman year. The other two graduated Jacksons Sophomore year, one has played at Coastal Bend JC and has performed really well, the other went to Hill College, but ended up not playing, but went back to Jacksonville College this year in January and have no idea how she did. Nobody this year is graduating and committed to play somewhere in College. Next year, Beavers is projected to get Div 1 scholarship offers and the year after that Sneed is projected to get Div 1 scholarships. I don’t know of any others on the current roster projected to go play after High School, I could be wrong, but I don’t know any of the younger ones. -
I’ve been screaming for 6 years now that the girls basketball gets the crap end of refs, it’s horrible the girls don’t get the same quality refs the boys do. Go Hawks!

Don’t try and crawfish your way out of it, there was zero sarcasm. You have made it known that you don’t like OF girls coach. Just because you coached the girls in Little Dribblers, doesn’t make you a basketball guru, In the last 4 years you have hurt the OF program by taking girls out of the program to chase a ring at Legacy. That worked out well. Stop trashing the OF coach and look in the mirror and think about the division you have caused, I don’t blame coach for wanting out, having to deal with parents like you. The difference between OF and HJ is the parents and kids are united with the coaches and everybody is involved in building the program at HJ and well we see what you are doing tearing the coach down.
