My dad graduated from PNG, I graduated from PNG and played for Malone and Owen, my wife graduated from PNG and played for Comeaux and was All State, my oldest graduated 4 years ago and played for Comeaux, my middle child graduated in 2020 and was a key part in the girls basketball team making the playoffs (x2) for the first time in school history and youngest is a Senior this year, plays tennis. Me and my wife have been members of the booster club for multiple years, parents have had season tickets since early 70’s. I am PNG, through and through, I bleed purple, I know several of these board members personally, if this is true, I will be extremely disappointed in this decision. Coach BF is what PNG is all about. I hear the rumors out there and the only negative thing I have heard that was somewhat hush hush was about some adult issues between a male coach and a female coach last year that from what I witnessed was taken care of swiftly as neither one of them are no longer educators at PNG. It unfortunately has happened before at PNG, when Malone was let go when I was there it was very disappointing and the grass was definitely not greener on the other side when they hired Owen (worst hire at PNG ever). I have a hard hard time believing that JDC would take the job if BF is let go, they are really good friends and normally hang out with each other during the holidays.

No room in the game for that. -
I have been out of touch with most of HS basketball, but West Brook #6? I heard they had a talented player, but they must have a solid squad.

You wrote this like he is going somewhere, did I miss an announcement about him?

I tried pushing the girls basketball in 2019 and 2020 and we had several members that interacted, it’s nice to see MHS titans back, after his sister graduated he disappeared on us, lol. Mine is in college and chasing her around takes up a lot of time. Still try and keep up, but it’s tough, when only two girls coaches participate on this site. Two dang good ones at that.

Nice, 5 girls in double figures -
Nothing sad about that, 95% of local teams would lose like this to HJ this year.

Ned would be odd team out.

How is Luke Fickell’s name not at the top of the USC and LSU coaching list?

What’s the latest in this district? -
Alexis Morris has had a very unique college basketball experience. She was first recruited and committed to UCLA, then decided to decommit and commit to Baylor University where she had some very meaningful playing time especially in the big tourney where she made some big plays. Then in the off-season, quit of got kicked off the team, had a disagreement with Coach Mulkey, depends on what story you read. Then, ended up transferring to Rutgers University, where the NCAA wouldn’t let her start playing until late December, never really saw the court and I believe she may have been injured for a little bit. Next, in the off-season transferred closer to home to Texas A&M and was back up PG and got some very minimal playing time had a big shot in the tourney. Think she was next in line for the PG position this year, but entered the transfer portal after the season. Now, she is being reunited with Coach Mulkey at LSU, I hope her nothing but the best and hope she has a very successful Senior Season.

Barbers Hill 35 Port Neches-Groves 49/FINAL

I love me some PNG football, but Defense still allowed 30+ points. I wouldn’t say proving nay sayers wrong on both sides of the ball. They have the talent to perform better! -

Awesome, if anybody says Faircloth needs to leave PNG, they are crazy. Adam tearing it up at the Div 2 level, R Johnson playing at UT, B Bost got in at TAMU, J Garth got in at UT, J Patterson at UMHB, C Denzlinger played at HPU, T Lisauckis (Injured) at Trinity University, and another that I can’t think of his name at Arkansas-Monticello, pretty dang impressive.

Latest rumors are Ohio State and Michigan are wanting to make move to SEC. I have a feeling this is a start to building enough power to break away from the NCAA.
