Before I get the “Grab a whistle and do it yourself” comment comes, I don’t want to do it, but if I did I would study the rules book and I would call everything!

Is it just me or is the officiating of the girls way below par? It seems like to me that most of the officials are trying to get done with the game as quick as possible. It seems like every game a rugby game breaks out and the refs just let it get way out of hand. Both ways not complaining about they pick on my daughters team. The Freshman and JV games I am glad my daughter does not take place in due to fear of being injured because of the lack of calls! I’m guessing the boys games get all the better officials in the area, just like they get the majority of the news coverage. The game needs to be cleaned up and allow the girls to play basketball and not rugby! I don’t care if you call a travel everytime up and down the floor. If a girl travels call it, guess what the coach will make adjustments the kids will really focus on getting better! Just be consistent and call a foul or a violation when it happens!

Anybody miss a shot in this game? Officials must have actually called a good game!

Livingston 55 PNG 35 it was a back and fourth game. We would pull within 2 points and they would go on a 6 or 8 point run. Score kind of got out of hand at very end of the game when we tried pressing the action and had silly turnovers for easy fast break points. Really should have been an 10-12 Point game. They are scrappy!

Vidor beat Central with 1/2 of Central team gone is my understanding.

We were able to limit Lumberton to 4 three pointers which is big for us, but we have to tighten up the dribble penetration defense!

Are you picking the highlighted teams? I just can’t see Vidor knocking off PAM. I cant see anyway Ned wins a district game unless a complete collapse by a team. I can see Lumberton winning because of guard play and getting Ozen bigs in foul trouble. I predicted LTown by 5 at home already and I’ll stick with it. If PNG can put all 4 qtrs together they can pull it off along with some other upsets in district. Just have not had a complete game or consistent play especially my own kid! Lol! I believe they can win it at home, PNG plays scraping physical defense and wins by 4 in a nail biter!

Again I have no problem with yelling and screaming as long as it is correcting a mistake, or lack of effort eric etc and trying to get the most out of your team. I did it in little Dribblers coaching my kids! It’s the yelling to intimidate that I don’t like or the getting in ones face and telling them they are a dumbass or an idiot etc etc. I have said all top level coaches yell and scream and I have placed my kids on teams with coaches that yell and scream, but they are yelling and screaming and making the kids better through the coaching part of it by educating them! I have had my kid screamed at and kicked out of practice because coach told them if they did what he just told them not to do he would send their asses home! Absolutely no problem with that at all!

I was brought up old school, get yelled at and don’t ask questions, know your roll and don’t get out of place. I played sports growing up, I got yelled at and belittled, I turned out fine. I have two kids who have grown up playing sports and have had their fair share of coaches yelling at them (including me). The older i get and the more I reflect back on things I wonder how much more successful would i have been and the teams I was apart of had I had a coach that would have educated and taught us the game vs yelling and screaming. I understand their s a level of frustration that comes with trying to teach kids and sometimes feels really good to just let it loose. I have seen some of my kids coaches change their way coaching because they learned how to educate the kids about the game and have been way more successful with the same talent!

The kids and the parents don’t renew contracts or let coaches go (obviously they try to influence that decision). So somebody at Lumberton did not like what was going on!

Raiders have better guard play than Ozen, this will cause the Panthers bigs to get in foul trouble early and Raiders take advantage of it!

Well he did get chased off st Lumberton after winning almost 99 games in three years! Hmmmm!

LMAO, you asked for an example like nobody could give you an example because it doesn’t happen and and they give you some and you still argue about it! Just like in every profession not all coaches are good people and coaches and not all coaches are bad people and bad coaches!

You can yell to intimidate or you can yell to educate as a coach! I’m ok with the yell to educate on a court!
