I said it two years ago, HJ will win the state championship next year. They have one of the top prospects in the nation in the 8th grade this year and the core group this year will be returning next year minus 1. Great coaching at the JV level is helping develop others as well!

I also will never forget halftime of that Lamar Consolidated game! Coach Malone destroyed every Gatorade cooler in the room, man he was pissed off! Lol! Good times!

I was in the 89 video, right guard on the punt team as a sophomore! I’ll never forget lining up against the Lamarque Def Lineman, those dudes were massive! 89 Special Teams blows away any Indians special teams in History! Wags was kicking 60 yarders in practice and had Ancelet running the “Bonzai” kick off team! Danny Malone stunk of aggressive physical play! First thing he did when he step on the reservation was good ole Texas Basketball! The most brutal offseason game you could play! Guys lined up outside the nurses office!

Whatever man, I played at PNG from 89-91 and there was not any juicing what so ever! THAT IS A FACT! Coming from a team captian in the locker room! Not from some disgruntled TJ alumni!

Plus college coaches are not real big fans of kids who transfer in high school, it shows them that when the kid doesn’t agree with something he will pack his bags and transfer when he gets to college.

What is PNG holding him back from exactly? You obviously have not looked at the PNG roster. They have had 9 sophomores playing significant roles this year, with three of the offensive lineman being sophomores. The starting center got injured last offensive play against Nederland and was lost for the playoffs. They lost in the third frikin round of the playoffs! Last time I checked 11-2 making it to the third round is not a bad year! You guys are talking about 15-18 year old boys like they are in the college and the NFL! Roschon has childhood friends he is playing with! He is playing in front of one of the largest High School fan bases in the nation every Friday night a place that is rich in tradition! Only two teams a year can win a state championship in the 5A rank! It takes an overall special group of kids to win one!
