PNG Freshman win 2-0 PNG JV WIN 2-0 and PNG Varsity win 3-0

Kingwood Park beat PNG in 2 (26-24, 25-18) very competitive and fun match between the two teams. PNG then won against CE King in 2 and Crosby in 2. Kingwood Park went on to win against GCM in 2 and then Huffman in 2 to win the tournament. I believe the official results were: 1. KP 2. Huffman 3. GCM 4. Caney Creek 5. PNG 6. Crosby 7. CE King 8. Huffman JV i do not know the results of the silver bracket. Local teams I know in silver were: Ozen, Orangefield, LCM, KP JV, Shadowcreek. I'm not sure of the other three teams.

Silsbee won in 5. Back and fourth all night.

Freshman starting at 4:30. Should be fun, competitive matches tonight.

GCM beat Shadow Creek in 2 -and KP JV in 3 then lost to PNG in 3 to win Pool C PNG finished 2nd by defeating Shadowcreek in 3, GCM in 3 and losing to KP JV in 2. Shadow Creek came in 3rd with win over KP JV in 2, loss to PNG in 3 and loss to GCM in 2. KP JV came in 4th with a win over PNG in 2, loss to GCM in 3 and a loss to Shadow Creek in 2.

GCM won in 3. Kingwood Park has a lot of talent coming up. Only two Jr on JV team.

GCM came back and won the second set. About to start 3rd set to 15.

Well GCM just lost first set to Kingwood Park JV, so I don't feel the pain as bad! If Kingwood Park JV is this dang good, their Varsity must be lights out!

PNG has one Freshman on Varsity she is right around the 6' mark, sophomore about 6' and a Sr about 6'2. I have a daughter that is a Freshman and I believe our club volleyball team played a team from Bellville (Austin County) this last club season that was pretty good.

Checked out scrimmages at PNG today. PNG, Bridge City, LCM and Kelly PNG played well overall, have a pretty tall team.

I would assume with the returning players that Dewyville has, that Dewyville would win the district.

Lumberton's Communication dept must be improving!

The season is here and the district has a new look. Last years powerhouse and Distict Champs (GCM) are now 6A and Lee has changed districts and has been replaced with PAM and Livingston. Last year results had GCM on top, Nederland in 2nd and a three way tie for third place between PNG, Lumberton and Ozen. Vidor, Central and Lee ended up at the bottom. So with District Champs gone and Lee gone the district gets two new teams that won a combined 0 games in district last year. So who will win the District Championship this year?

I heard to sophomore ladies from Lumberton won this award from over 500 teams in the area. Congrats to you two young ladies! Baylee Flowers-Natalie Doucet
