  1. The PNG coaching staff made some great adjustments at halftime as they normally do. They took away the edge running game and sent pressure on the qb. I think they was trying to play safe in the first half afraid to give to up the big play. In the 2nd half they committed to the run and Henry came out running hard. I thought going into this game we would run the ball a lot more. I had a feeling the secondary would cover us a little better than the past teams could. The crowd was a huge factor! Sometimes it takes the fans too long before they get involved. Last night that team needed a little more motivation to begin the 2nd half and the Indian faithful gave them what they needed! Great job coaches and player’s!
  2. He took a beating in that game. His mom was at the bottom of the bleachers hollering for Faircloth to take him out of the game. Huntsville went to state that behind a nasty defense. UT ex Sweat was on that team and he hit Shug hard multiple times. Sweat looked like a man amongst boys out there. After that game I made the comment Sweat may be the best high school defensive player I'd ever seen. Chris Reed from SFA was the best until I seen Sweat. Reed was a big ol boy who could run just like Sweat.
  3. I'll take LaPorte by 11. 28-17 I don't believe the PNG offensive line play has created the running lanes it has in years past. They will have to play much better to win this game. It's still early and I expect PNG to be much better by season's end. I also feel like LaPorte will be able to move the football fairly well. It's very possible the score could go the other way. But at this time LaPorte has played the tougher schedule and may be further along.
  4. Didn't Bryant shut them out for the first 5 innings and then they brought Nutter in and they scored a couple of runs? And then in the 7th they brought Bryant back in? That lineup they were facing is unreal and most of them will be back next season.
  5. they still have 2 games this week.
  6. should be some good games!
  7. Wow! that's going to be a huge loss going forward.
  8. Anyone have an update on Chagtanier? We had a few short yardage situations where he would have extended drives. Hopefully he will be ready by the 1st round of the playoffs. He wears defenses down with his punishing running style.
  9. I disagree with this comment! Our passing game isn't close to where it was last year. We have one guy that can beat you deep. Last year we had multiple wr's that could go get the ball. If someone can shut our run game down and take down our top wr then they can beat us. The problem is shutting the run game down. Our defense don't have near the speed we had last year either. We can be beat in the passing game. Big changes have been made on defense since early in the season. We are stopping the run much better but a decent passing team can beat our secondary. I'd say our team speed is lacking this year. And special teams hasn't been good all season. We definitely have holes and can be beat. We've won the close games that could have easily went the other way. We're still a very good football team though and Nederland will have to earn it to win it. Should be a good football game.

  11. I’d like to see the stats for this game. We have not seen the defense get ran on like this since these new coach’s took over. I expected big adjustments at halftime and they would shut Laporte down in the 2nd half. Ton’s of missed tackles. It was very uncharacteristic of what we’ve started getting use to seeing. Maybe a good thing it happened going into a bye week. Luckily Laporte couldnt stop us.
  12. A person creates a username and makes a BS post and people start responding! Did anyone look at how many post the person had? I call BS! And even if that was a true statement, that defensive coordinator for PNG would be my next coach when and if Joseph decides to leave. The OC is pretty damn good also. I'm sure one of them would want the job. The DC is the man in my opinion!
  13. I guess were going to ignore that PNG defense holding that high powered offense to 17 points? They played their butts off and SOC had plenty of time to go win the game and they couldn't! Just clap your hands and say great season PNG and move on instead of making excuses and blaming the refs! But you know haters gotta hate!
  14. I assure you the refs missed calls on both sides of the ball. Hell #4 for PNG was being held the whole game. At the end of the day a W is a W no matter how you get it done. I doubt they put an asterisk next to PNG's title! Some people thought PNG should have went for it instead of the 4th field goal and then the coach does calls a perfect onside kick! That call took balls right there!
