Sometimes which brings about the inconsistency on his shot ....badddd habit but it's slowly getting broken ...
-
Very good kid, he's a workout warrior, plays Tony Allen like on defense , once he gets a consistent jump shot and improves handling skills he'll be solid ...
-
Idk Kelly will be tough but Ozen class of 16' & 17' along with Silsbee will be tough to contend with ....

And also I want to add this if people would get off of their emotional side and come together SETX could produce tons of scholarships for kids with the amount of talent we have but we let our kids go to Houston and play and make their programs better and make them money. If ppl are truly about the kids then this could happen .. It's a shame when AAU coaches have a greater interest in making a name for themselves than they have in making a name for their kids...I'm tired of hearing about who doesn't get along all I know is EGOS have to be put aside for this to happen. Doesn't matter who sends the kid to college as long he goes . We could have a legitimate show deal with this this but of course someone would get greedy take money turn kids against each other and then boom it all blows up ....this is why you have 20 summer teams in SETX because no one trusts the next man to do right ...I've think all the coaches out here do well and I think they do care about it because this is time consuming and costs money ...and I havent had any problems with any of them so I'm all in.....just something to think about...

Great point BigCam and as I was told before from an evaluator if you really want know if a college coach wants you tell your mom, coach anyone besides yourself would they offer you in their face and then you'll get an answer. All the talk about who is playing in front of who and getting interest from means nothing. Until you have been legitimately offered. In the end all of this just preparation in hopes of .....If kids happen to further their dream then some it but I want them to know you can always get an education and be the one who signs the checks....and there is absolutely nothing wrong with d2,d3,NAIA ,Juco, community college they are all avenues that can lead to success D1 ain't for everybody ....

I've learned anyone can be beaten on any given day doesn't matter what the name says on the front the jersey
-
Your right winwin it is case by case but txhoops sometimes playing on a so called higher level isn't what it's cracked up to be nothing wrong with the so called Lower level because as I've been told numerous times if you can play they'll find you no matter who you play for . It does help playing for a big name team but some kids get lost in the shuffle which isn't good for anyone in the end . Know a kid who played with a group for a long time had a couple of bad games they brought in other players kid left because his minutes decreased should he have stuck it out maybe but kids want to play not sit the bench and I'm sure any coach would say some basketball is better than none especially when we talking about developing

But who is at fault parents or kids ....

Some good matchups tomorrow night put up or shut up time

Yea but then get out of shape playing high school ball lol ...plus some coaches in SETX don't come watch their players so they don't know what the kid can do they just put them in a system instead of being open minded thinking what can they do to get the most out of their players ...that's why I think Sam Houston flourished their coach got out and watched his players and saw he needed to make a change somewhat not in his beliefs as far as discipline and all that but system wise. Now they are projected to win Region 3 in 6a next year after coming within a game this year. That willingness makes players go out and lay it on the line for you knowing you were willing to do that

Be sure to come out and support the Beat the Heat tournament this weekend May 1-3 in Port Arthur, Tx . A lot of the local talent will be on display .
-
Not sure.. I heard Josh Boyd had a very good weekend and might've got some interest but that's good for him .

S/o to everyone who played in the Kingwood ,Under Armour and Gauntlet you guys represented SETX well ....SBG,DEFENDERS-DILL,DEFENDERS-KRAEMER ,DEFENDERS-BRADY, TEAM STAGE,GOLDEN TRIANGLE TOP GUN ,TEXAS FUTURE BASKETBALL. Ps ..doesn't matter who the best team in SETX is that's all for show ,end of the day we have to make noise outside these parameters. Support from each would be key , I see Dallas teams do it, Houston teams do it,but not SETX it has to get better. Some of these adults step to the side and allow these kids to be friends even though their playing for different teams .

A lot of BOLD statements being made
-
Well if yall keep winning you will in the championship
-
Some of the posters should go to the Kingwood this weekend and check out some of the locals ..Lots of talent from SETX playing out there
-
CONSOLODATION would be the best for every kid in the area....less tournaments more skill work imo ....
