The field was in horrible condition, but he shouldn't have put Vidor on blast IMO. He has to understand that everyone doesn't have industry and means to have newer facilities. Always be humble and appreciative of what you have, because it can be taken away. -

Don't lump us all into that. That's the problem that I've seen on here. Everyone thinks that we are like that, but the few make us all look bad. BTW, he came from UIL, we get what we want! Lol He's not gonna let us play on grass. Lol -

It was the Sup and he tweeted he's not apologizing. It's getting wild on Facebook around here. Half say it should've been handled privately and others are bashing him. I did find it odd that he said it was dangerous for the students, but allowed the football players to play on the field. I'm staying on the sideline on this one. Lol -

Bellaire Episcopal 58 Beaumont Ozen 0/FINAL

I don't think so, but I guess folks that still live there think so. When it was only 2 HS, they competed every year and that's when 3 schools went to playoffs. They would both be 6a though. If Ozen and Central was beating mid county year in and year out, you wouldn't hear anything. Pear Orchid can't stand to lose to mid county. My .02 Ozen will never be Hebert and older folks can't stand that. -

Well, I knew all of the Bevil Oaks and Northwest Forest kids for the most part, and they all graduated from Central (88-92). Summer school use to be at Central, i know for a fact. Lol I never understood Beaumont zoning, but I would think I-10 and 69 be dividing line. Everything East go school HS #1 and everything West go to HS #2. Knock all HS down and build 2 new HS that is more geographical friendly. It will never happen, but should be way to do it. -

I don't live there any longer, but I did go there in 9th grade (little Brook) and Price Elem. Lol I still believe if the pear orchid would've left their kids at WB or Central, you wouldn't be struggling every year. Don't care what anybody says, two high schools is what Beaumont needs. -
Kids still got to win the games. You never know who will show up on Friday nights with high school teams. BH couldve hung 60 points on Vidor. I still think our weakness will be the secondary against passing teams ie. Crosby. Remember, we use run an offense almost exactly like Vidor, so it was easy for our Defense to defend. One thing for sure, you will probably have to score alot to beat BH this year. I'll wait till after week 3 to evaluate if we will be a playoff contender.

So now Ozen faithful blaming school district for having losing seasons? -
I think for the first time in a long time, there will be a couple of solid teams staying home during the playoffs. I wouldn't read too much into the first week though.

I agree, just giving the obvious. Cedar Hill hanging though. Take away the holding call and it's 17-14.

Panama City (FL) Bay vs. Port Arthur Memorial/Post updates here!

Between that game and PNG/Ned series, I don't remember who has lost the most consecutive rival games. -
21-5a is going to be a shootout this year.

I say PAM forfeited. 1st loss! -
Gorman will blow it open in 2nd half. Gorman has too many weapons.

Vidor looked like a mirror image of previous BH teams last night. I felt bad for the Pirates because that offense won't allow you to catch up once you're down by 3 TD's. The Vidor players deserve a better playing field as well. Video screen was nice, but money shouldve been spent on turf or new grass. That field was nasty before any rain. You could see where it's been patched up in the middle of the field. The field won't recover this whole year. To the people of Vidor, pull your pocketbooks out and get them kids turf!! Who cares about a scoreboard. Hoping Vidor takes a look at adjustung to what works nowadays. Good luck Pirates on the rest of your season.

PNG by how ever many they want.

Told ya'll to get ready for the show. Ya'll gonna learn today. Lol Seriously, by the time Roschon is a senior, he will be one of the top recruited kids in the state. That's right, I said state. It will partly be for his athletic ability, but alot will be for his academics as well. Kid is just as good in the classroom.

Let it be known that BH fans are staying calm after this win. It's the first game on a horrible field. It was beat to you know what, mud everywhere. The bad thing is that we don't face any passing teams till Crosby. That will be the gauge I go by. Vidor didn't use Quintare? very much because it's a non district game. Vidor needs to learn to finish on offense and I'm afraid on defense they will struggle defending the pass. With that being said, it was the best coached game we've seen in a while on the Hill. Very impressed. Put this game behind us and get ready for Santa Fe.

I will say Vidor runs hard for sure.

Another BH TD, 33-0

Nice half for BH! Our is holding strong. If Vidor don't make adjustments, it might get worse.
